We have had Brooks do several floors in our house now and are very happy with his work! (Details on…read morethe projects below.) Brooks is a perfectionist who does beautiful and meticulous work. He does all the work himself so you know you can trust the project will be done well. He is also easy to work with, reliable, and charges very reasonable rates. We will definitely be hiring Brooks again for other floor projects in our house! We recently bought an old home in Pittsburgh (built in 1895) and have had Brooks rehab and refinish the floors in several rooms so far. He was able to hand sand and remove stains on the original parquet floor in the dining room which other floor specialists told us would not come out. When we bought the house, the landing of the staircase was unstained oak while the stairs and surrounding wainscoting were stained dark. Brooks was able to stain the landing to match the wood around it with exceptional precision. He was also able to disguise a few very unfortunate gouges in our living room floor that were made by the movers (we had JUST had Brooks redo this floor prior to moving in so were very disappointed about the damage caused by the movers). We were very happy Brooks could fix it!

Extremely poor customer service. It all started the first day when you go to check countertops. The…read moreattitude you recieve is unacceptable, should have been the first red flag NOT to order there. They dont assist you or try to explain ANY of the process. They throw attitude at you when you ask a question trying to understand. Then they charge you a Hefty amount for a countertop, annd the product not being what you expected. Once the product is ordered your told "no returns" and damage your property. They tell you the product will be ready in 2 weeks, meanwhile it takes almost 2 months. They don't offer a delivery option until AFTER they damage your vehicle with NO accountability or even DISCUSS the situation. They definitely take advantage of the people not educated in this line of work. It is NOT worth the hassle. Espec when the owner himself yells and gives a horrible attitude when you try to call and discuss the situations.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

I will continue to use this professional company and crew for future projects. Thank you! I highly recommend molyxneaux. Price was good too for the excellent work and quality carpet and pad I purchased.
