Unfortunately, we could not be more dissatisfied with Bert's Painting and Floors quality of work and the end product. We found multiple rocks and small shards of wood chips embedded and sealed into the floor after inspection. It was clear to us they did not properly vacuum the area prior to applying the stain. We found that they did not take the time to properly tape off the kitchen baseboards prior to applying the stain and now we have multiple baseboards with stain on them. In addition to poorly applying the stain, we found that they dripped stain on our existing carpet which we have not been able to remove. It is clear, they did not take time to prepare for the job and simply wanted to get in and out. Secondly, they did a very poor job at dust control and subsequent clean up after. At no point did they try to Shop Vac the dust created after the sanding. We, as home owners, had to vacuum the job site each night after Bert's Flooring left the site in order to maintain the dust. Additionally, Bert's Flooring did not even clean the job site after they left. They left plastic hanging on the walls and left multiple water bottles and cups of coffee at the job site that we had to clean up. Bert's Flooring was unprofessional and impersonal as a whole and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your flooring needs. Their work ethic left lots to be desired and we were completely dissatisfied with the job.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

The ottoman had a horrific cat puke stain (wet food salmon, sat for 7-8 hours before we noticed) that we tried to remove, but only made things worse. Thought we might have ruined the ottoman for good, but Eco King made it look brand new, very impressed. Also impressed that there wasn't any harsh chemicals being used, no smell, and when John was leaving, I mentioned that I accidentally stained my car seat with coffee. He took out a spray bottle and cleaned that too, looks brand new again. Amazing, totally worth the price. Will definitely use their services again.

He does all the work himself so you know you can trust the project will be done well. He is also easy to work with, reliable, and charges very reasonable rates. We will definitely be hiring Brooks again for other floor projects in our house! We recently bought an old home in Pittsburgh (built in 1895) and have had Brooks rehab and refinish the floors in several rooms so far. He was able to hand sand and remove stains on the original parquet floor in the dining room which other floor specialists told us would not come out. When we bought the house, the landing of the staircase was unstained oak while the stairs and surrounding wainscoting were stained dark. Brooks was able to stain the landing to match the wood around it with exceptional precision. He was also able to disguise a few very unfortunate gouges in our living room floor that were made by the movers (we had JUST had Brooks redo this floor prior to moving in so were very disappointed about the damage caused by the movers).
