We got take out from Shambu's last night and it was delicious. 2 Samosas, 2 mains, and 2 garlic naan for $30. The food is amazing!

I recall it as a former Pizza Hut and the layout was still the same inside. It was very quiet inside and just a young woman there to seat us. Menu was varied and broken down by type of dish like tandoori, masala, rice, appy and so on. The dishes are a la cart so remember to add sides like naan, rice, chutney and condiments. We ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken and palak paneer to be shared between 3 of us. We had garlic naan and palau rice and the kid got a mango lassi as well. Our friends also ordered butter chicken, samosas and naan. The food came out quickly enough (helped that it was quiet) and the kid really enjoyed the butter chicken - we ordered mild but next time will do medium spice as we found it too mild. The tandoori chicken was really good - flavourful and juicy with a decent amount of char from the cooking method. The food was much better than a couple of other indian places - butter chicken sauce was not crazy sweet ( I call it ketchup chicken) . To me the naan had a very chewy and light texture not quite sturdy enough to scoop up the sauce. So overall, not a bad place and within walking distance. There is also a vast selection of Indian sweets that the hubby and kid enjoyed. Prices aren't bad and while ambiance was lacking, decent food that to me was much more tastier and authentic than other places we've tried.

Well, their website, right on the home page, it says delivery. When we asked if the food was cold, they said that if it was, they were not going to reheat it. So, I contacted American Express to chargeback the order. The look and feel of the place says it is going to go out of business.

They have two other locations (another in Kelowna and one in Lake Country). We dropped in on a Thursday (around 8:30pm). No dine in so we grabbed our order to go. We were quoted a 20 minute wait but it was closer to 10. The menu consists of meat, veg, appetizers, rice and bread, salad and desserts. We were asked how spicy we wanted our order and opted for medium. - Spinach naan ($3.00) - a touch soft in texture but the spinach was plentiful and tasty. - Basmati rice ($2.00) - good amount especially for the price. - Lamb saag ($14.00) - we always enjoy the lamb spinach combination. Decent but the flavour was lacking and the lamb was slightly overcooked. - Goat curry ($15.00) - this was the better of the two entrees. Goat was tender and the curry was much more satisfying. Portions are a good size and we had leftovers for the next day. Made in India was decent Indian fare but we weren't blown away.
