When I moved from Queens to Ridgefield, I was a little surprised at how expensive some of the local barber shops were. I first went to Frank at Shalom because he was the only barber in town that I found that had reasonable prices. Now, a little more than a year later, I would not go to anyone else. Frank gives me consistently better haircuts than I received at my previous barber in the city. Not to mention that he is very friendly and his shop is always clean. I also appreciate that he takes the COVID safety protocols seriously (always wears a mask and gloves). Go to Frank! $20 for a great haircut is something that you can't beat in Ridgefield! read more

Franklin is excellent! He takes appointments and has good pricing. Great to have a fair priced, consistently good barber in Ridgefield! My husband has been to a couple other places (salons and barbershops) in town and has not really been thrilled with either the environment or price. Previously my husband would drive about 25 minutes for a hair cut at a barber shop where there were several barbers and often times he'd be unhappy with his haircut depending on which chair he sat in as barber selection for appointments were often not honored. Franklin's shop is super convenient for us and has a personal feel and he is super nice. My husband has gotten his haircut a couple of times by Franklin now and has told me he will definitely be returning regularly to get his haircuts there from now on! Just had the pleasure of meeting Frank, the owner of the new barbershop and was very impressed. Frank is a very personable, kind and spirited barber with a lot of talent. What I like is that you can explain what you want and he will work with you to ensure that it's correct. The cut was perfect and I highly recommend checking the shop out. Before Covid I used to get my haircut in Manhattan, near my office. Yesterday, I went to Frank at Shalom for the first time. I had not visited a barber for over a year because of the pandemic, and on top of that, my wife wanted me to try a new haircut. Frank took both circumstances into account and did and EXCELLENT job. His cut was exactly what I asked for and he used a straight edge to clean up the sides.
