Bad experience don't recommend I doubt any of them have there license 4 bad haircuts never going here again

Had to reactivate my old Yelp account just to post this. What the user "Larry" said about their covid policies is 100% accurate. Got my first haircut here after quarantine and was expecting the shop to follow the state ordinance for barbershops. Not even close. My barber had no mask to start, then put a mask on, literally over his chin. Never one second was a mask worn over mouth or nose. Masks are not worn by staff or customers. I was happy with Dave's pre-covid. But seriously, there is a pandemic going on. Blatant disrespect for people's wellbeing. Very scary stuff. Will not be returning unless proof is shown that Dave's has updated and actually follows the state ordinance for safety in a pandemic. read more

I went for a cut at around 1pm on a Monday. I was in a chair in about a 20 minute wait. The barbers that were there answered all questions that I had and were really attentive. I sat in Vinnyies chair today nervous about using a new barber but I left very satisfied pretty good pricing. Great vibe inside music playing, people talking and laughing, and very clean. 10/10 read more

I go see Kay Powell for my hair cuts. He's great. I get so many compliments after he cuts my hair. He's professional and courteous and that's important to me. The barber shop is clean and really chill which makes for a good experience. read more

Pat "PK" the barber is a PROFESSIONAL. Meticulous detail and craftsmanship. He revived a disaster of a haircut my old barber gave just last week. He took it from an uneven nightmare to a perfect skin fade with perfect part. He took over an hour and 20 minutes to make me feel good about my hair again. A true professional as well as Dave's barbershop is ran first class. Just make sure you book that at least one week out in advance As he is fully booked as any great barber would be. 10/10 A+++ read more

IF YOU ARE EVEN SLIGHTLY CONCERNED ABOUT CORONAVIRUS ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES right now. Stunning disregard for mask wearing and social distancing all over the place. Easily the worst I've seen anywhere. Several (most) stylists had no mask on at all, including while cutting hair. The few who did have masks didn't bother wearing them over their noses and would pull their masks down every time they spoke or more accurately yelled across the barbershop to each other. Seriously? Unmasked stylists yelling across a crowded barbershop? Are you kidding me? As I said, it's a stunningly reckless atmosphere in this place right now with regards to Coronavirus. They are doing virtually nothing to keep you the customer safe at all. Customers and stylists all over the place without masks. Yelling, hugging, high-fiving everyone and anyone. Complete nightmare scenario. This is the place that will screw it up for everyone else who are being responsible citizens. You are putting yourself in serious risk getting a haircut here. Disgraceful level of disrespect for customer safety. They should be shut down, it's honestly that bad. I'm still shocked and incredibly angry at what my son and I just experienced. I think I posted a review on the previous Dave's Barbershop Yelp page, but in any case I have no problem writing another one. I've been coming here for over a year and I have yet to encounter bad service or get a bad haircut here. Every time I'm in need of a trim, I make an appointment on the Vagaro service Dave's has to offer, and show up on time, maybe waiting 5-10 minutes in the waiting area. Pat Kelly is my go-to and has been since they first day I came here, but honestly, every barber that works here seems to do an awesome job on everyone. As long as I live in the Danbury area, I'll be coming here for my haircuts. read more

They can not keep appointments. Have gone twice with a scheduled appointment. 1st time i waited a half an hour, and found out they slipped someone in before me. Decided to give them a second chance since the barber called to apologize. 2nd time i arrive on time and am told i would have to wait 20 minutes. I only wait 20 minutes for doctors not barbers, lame service. read more

Stumbled into this place after I had a reservation at SuperCuts that they just didn't take and said "yeah sorry the girl before messes up a lot" well long story short that turned out being a blessing in disguise! I got one of the best haircuts I've gotten in years and now go to Ricky every time, he does a phenomenal job and takes his time to get every detail right. read more

Update: the shop called me the next day apologized and made an effort to make it right. I appreciate anyone who makes the effort the way they did. I went in as a walk-in (they didn't know it was me), got my haircut and they did a great job. Can tell these guys care about their craft. Converted from a bad experience to a good one. I will be back. Three confirmations for my appointment. A time they recommended, would have come earlier. I scheduled childcare, left work early and drove the 45 mins to get there. 10 mins before the appointment they called and canceled because they scheduled the cut at closing. Great barbershop. I got my haircut by three different barbers there as a walk-in and 2 out of the 3 were great. I've never had to wait as a walk-in even if the waiting area was full. Seems like most people schedule appointments or have a preferred barber. So, if you're looking for a quick cut and aren't picky about who does it then you shouldn't have a problem getting in as they always seem very well staffed. read more

I'm super picky about my hair, and since moving to this part of Fairfield County a few years ago, have been pretty unhappy with most places. Finally took a chance on Dave's and have been to Pat Kelly 4 or 5 times now. He is awesome! The first time we met, he asked legit questions no one who has ever cut my hair has asked. Knows all the latest hair trends & if your hair would work. Always has great suggestions, too. HIGHLY recommend this dude. The shop itself is large, always busy (you can make appointments ahead of time on their website), clean, and overall, really fun. Great vibe there. I'm not a small talk kind of guy, but always have great conversations with Pat during my cut. read more

I went there today at 1pm. Walked in to see no check in desk, no sign in sheet and no acknowledgement from anyone performing haircuts. So I proceeded to sit down and wait due to everyone was busy. Well I waited until 1:50pm and at that moment I decided to leave. I saw a total of 3 barbers chairs become empty during my 50 minutes waiting and not one tried to acknowledge me or offer me a hair cut. After almost a hour of waiting I decided that this was my first and last time ever stopping here. read more

I didn't have an appointment but Victor fit me in between appointments and I was very impressed with his skill set. Best barber shop in the area. No comparison within a 30 mile radius. I know... I tried 10 places before landing on this place from newtown / sandy hook. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You can't go wrong with any of the professionals working there. I generally walk in and only once out of 10 haircuts they couldn't fit me in immediately. Miguel cut my hair today. This place is amazing. My son had his haircut here by two different barbers and they both done excellent work. After my hairdresser was booked and I needed a cut, I gave it a shot. I saw Britney and she's awesome. She's the only woman barber there and she holds her own. All the barbers are friendly, professional and all seem to love their craft. I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone, simply fantastic. FYI... they don't accept any form of credit card, only cash. read more
