Just moved to the area from Tampa Bay area where I went to a nail salon for 5 years for dip powder,…read morepedicure and eyebrow. I was fortunate to have an upscale nail salon near my home there that provided first class services. I am happy enough with the service I got here but definitely not up to par with what I am accustomed to. Charges were different from the published price. My husband also gets a monthly pedi which every place I am aware of both in Northern Va where I also lived for 50 + years and Tampa Bay where we lived 5 + years priced basic pedicure that included removal of calluses it is $15 additional for this service there mot acceptable in my opinion. I believe my charges were also incorrect as a brow is listed at $10 pedicure basic $30 with callous removal $45 and dip color at $40. I was charged $133 and we gave a $26 tip as the service was acceptable. I had hoped this would be a place I could depend on for this service but that will not be the case. I will be trying other salons until I can find one that is comparable to what I expect.

I decided I needed a haircut on a budget and found Regina Webb Academy online. Their website was…read moreeasy to use, had prices listed, and when I called to schedule an appointment, they were much nicer than the other cosmetology school salon I had called. I got an appointment for the next day and Chelsea did my hair. Regular shampoo and then she cut it pretty much how I wanted. She tried an angled cut but did it so that if I decided I didn't like it, she could make it all even and not too short. I really appreciated that- I don't always know how a cut will look on me so it's nice to get a preview and then go with something else (similar) if it's not what you wanted. She was very nice and listened to what I wanted. The layering was a little bit rough compared to what I've had done at salons in the past but it doesn't look bad by any means. Just different than what I'm used to. The instructor comes by to approve the cut after the cutting is done so that's comforting. I paid $11 (not including a tip) for a great haircut so I highly recommend this if you're needing some trimming or want to get a new look on a budget. I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable trying something bold/difficult at a school like this but for simple cuts it was a really great option!

Pros: The lovely girl who did my pedicure was very thorough especially with the cuticles, nail shaping and polish. The leg massage was very nice and the massage chair good. The foot bowls are lovely. The environment relaxing and there are tons of stations available. This will be my new regular pedi spot I think! Cons: Typically pedicurists paint to end of the big toe nail to make the paint job last. Here they didn't and it looks a bit unfinished. You currently have to call to see if you can walk in. The lady who sat me down was a smidgen pushy regarding upsells. After the cream applied to the legs feet they felt a bit greasy. A wipe down with a hot towel would be welcome.
