    New patient julie

Dr. Shaffer and her staff are amazing. They were able to get us in, to see her ruptured cyst while her regular vet said they were 4 months out for call backs and for scheduling surgery. They already reached out to schedule surgery as well. We have found a new primary vet.

After our…read moreappointment, our puppy suffered a serious eye injury (scleral hemorrhage) and had to receive veterinary care. Our veterinarian documented that the injury was likely caused by trauma consistent with a dog being restrained on a grooming table and possibly falling or hanging from the grooming loop. Even if our puppy was showing signs of anxiety or distress, a professional groomer should stop the service to ensure the animal's safety. Instead, the grooming continued, and our puppy ended up injured. When we asked Korayne to help cover the veterinary bill, she refused and said it was not her responsibility. As pet owners, we trusted that our puppy would be handled with care and properly supervised, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

I have so much to say about Murray's time with Butch and the Cappel Canine team. This entire review…read moresays why we very much recommend entrusting your baby with Cappel Canine. This was our first Australian Shepard dog and like most people over this 14 months we got him during quarantine. I have some basic understanding of training and we watched a lot of dog training shows on TV so we thought we had a good understanding. We played outside with him, walked him and as soon as our local dog park opened we took him there to socialize him. Murray is very intelligent and patient, when he wants to do something or doesn't want to do something. We were starting to have some issues with other dogs and we realized that we are going to need help because this was far beyond what we could handle. We searched all over the internet, thumbtack, groups..etc. We both came across Cappel Canine and my husband watched the videos, read as much as could on Butch and the training the facility. One of the videos talked about walking the dog and connecting the leash to the collar and why he prefers that. Can I just say we have spend over a $100 trying to find and harness, lead or whatever else that would help Murray not pull. I had carpal tunnel surgery earlier this year and I hadn't been able to really walk him on my own because he pulls. My husband said let try it. We tried it and just a few moments of adjustments Murray doesn't really pull. I can walk my dog again, by myself. We called that day and spoke with Butch and he told us what the training would look like and set Murray's 2week stay training. I didn't know what it would be like in regards to actually leaving Murray there. Drop off day was busy and there seemed to be a lot of moving pieces which made me nervous but the staff was very friendly and welcomed us and Murray (even thought Murray wanted nothing to do them, yet). They asked us more questions about Murray, home life and what we wanted them to focus on. I had to take Murray to kennel which would be his new home for 2 weeks because he would let anyone take his leash. He would hide. Even though it was really hard for me to leave him (I have never been away from Murray since we got him) I'm glad I got to take him to the kennel because I saw how spacious it was us, it's covered and it has a back space with a cot for a bed. During the two weeks Butch sent us videos of Murray during some of his training, I had a call with him which made me feel so much better. During our conversations he was so insightful about Murray and made observation and comments that we hadn't even talked about. We we picked him up from "camp" Butch went through all of Murray's training with us and we got to practice it. We were completely blown away on all the things thought during those two weeks. We should be receiving our video today with all training so we can continue the work Butch started. What was a bonus was the bond Murray formed with Butch. We can't thank Butch and the entire Cappel Canine team enough.

I hope he is out of business by now so that no other dog suffers with him. I took my dog here…read moreseveral years ago. And had the same issues most of these reviews show - no training, filthy and stinking, weight loss, was shown things that she already knew prior to going here as proof of the training she received. I will forever regret sending my girl to the two weeks of hell with these abusers.
