    Nature trail
    Mickayla M.

Upon first glance it's easy to see an older park that could use a facelift in a few areas... but don't let that deter you. It offers ample shade, lots of picnic space, multiple play structures and a large grassy area. There are so many seating spaces for adults to sit and chat or sip their coffee while the kids play that this fact alone makes it a bigger win. Bathrooms! So few parks have bathrooms now (which I get) but thank god for them. Drinking fountains, basketball and tennis courts AND a nature trail! Although a small trail it is a nice added feature to break up the type of play your kids engage with. Just down the road is a starbucks with a drive thru and if you are hungry a sub shop and Filippis are nearby!

Great little park! Nice playground with rubber padding so the kids don't hurt themselves when they fall. There's a big open grass area for kids to run around and kick a ball. There's a little trail good for jogging, a basketball court and a tennis court! Private parking lot and almost never too crowded! So far, this is my favorite park in the area!

My nieces appreciated the lack of wood chips on the playground and had a great time here.

The permit was cheap and the gazebo was huge! Our party fit perfectly. Loved the location. Very nice neighborhood.

Nice park. Two sets of play equipment for toddler and older kids. They have a large grass area and a basketball court.

I have some work in El Cajon that's going to take a few months and I live in North County so don't want to be driving down everyday. I stopped at the gate and was greeted by Debbie who gave me all the information I needed and answered all my questions. She was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. If they have other people like her on staff everyone staying there I'm sure is happy and taken care of. When I drove around I was stunned at how clean and well kept eveything was. It was also beautiful. All the ponds for fishing and areas to relax. Looking forward to a stay here. Will update review later.

Fun place for families and especially for fishing…read more... There are eight(?) lakes in a row, all of them numbered and stocked with fish, I think....I saw a restaurant and paddle boats but no one was paddle boating while we were there. There's a large campground at the end of the park, and a nice dog walk also near the back of the park.... Not welcoming at the front, though, considering we paid $4 half an hour before the park gate closed (at 7 pm) on a weekday and then paid $7 on a weekend....there is parking outside of the park along the road which I don't think costs anything....
