Do not hire them! The first time they we're supposed to come to take measurements they showed up multiple hours late, we rescheduled a time for them to come out and take measurements weeks later. After multiple emails for reminders of our appointment and me clearing my day to accommodate them for a second time, I was completely blown off. 45 minutes after they were supposed to arrive , I called the company to find out where they were , and I was told then that they would not be able to make the appointment. Despite one text message telling me someone from service will call - they never responded, never called, never returned phone messages, never replied to emails, nothing. Their 800# is out of service. Some of their email addresses bounce. I even signed up for an appointment online - which no one ever attended. I finally got in touch with one of their former installers who referred me to another company explaining that Shademonster is essentially out of business. I would do less then a 1 star if I could. I did blinds with them and I have to redo them all less then a year later. One of the electric blinds battery died and they told me they would send me a charger, and 8 months later still nothing and they are just ignoring me. The blackout blinds in my kids room are not blackout and I had to get actual blackout ones installed after. The part where they should've painted over around the window where the top of the blinds were installed were horrific and completely uneven. I am so appalled by the lack of service and responding. I have been patient for 8 months to try and get a charger for this and lucky me, there are no chargers on the market that I can purchase except from them. They did a terrible job on the installation and a worse job at responding and helping a client out. I cannot open the blinds in my living room due to this. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could, this company is essentially unreachable if you are an online shopper and can't physically go in store. Literally the only way cancel an order is to do it through you credit card company. If you call them, it will route to an overseas office (re, service agents) that have absolutely zero visibility into any customer information/orders, and zero ability to change or edit anything on the order. All they do is take down your info and "pass" it on to the local office, which never gets back to you. I have tried calling now about 5 or 6 times, given my info and no one ever gets back. I tried messaging on facebook, instagram, and emailing. Not a single reply. Customer service is not able to even view an order over the phone, all they do is keep repeating "we are the back office". Shademonster - you guys are handcuffing your service agents, give them visibility into customer and order info so they can actually perform their job and assist the customer. This is extremely standard business practice. Otherwise there is no point in having service agents to relay a message, I can leave a voicemail myself. If you are an online shopper that is not able to physically go into a Shademonster store, stay far far far away from this company, just order locally or from a reputable online brand. read more

Scammers! I placed an order for one solar shade. After inputting my measurements/selections, billing and shipping information, the page told me that it is going to be free shipping. I then placed my order and confirmation page showed that my order was set and I got free shipping. The next day, I received a call and email from ShadeMonster and the guy told me that I owe $198 for shipping. When clearly their website and my confirmation receipt, stated free shipping with the size of my order. The guy argued with me and said no, its only free shipping when the order is 92" and below. While I have proof on my receipt of free shipping the guy said no they wouldn't honor it. After speaking with him, I went to the website to check and they changed the dimensions that would receive free shipping. This place is a giant scam and they are not honest! read more

I have cats, and they are wild and crazy. No matter what I tried, I couldn't keep them away from the curtains in my apartment. So, they basically tore them to shreds. While looking around for replacements, I friend of mine mentioned he had a good experience with a company called Shade Monster. Had never heard of it but decided to give it a try based on my friend's recommendation. Checked their website. Layout seemed easy enough and was able to complete the whole process without a lot of fuss. Once I placed the order, it took about a week for the delivery to my place. From the beginning of the ordering process, had decided to do the install myself. I know the company offers live assistance but not sure if a technician can actually come in and install the shades/curtains. Anyway, started the install process and was glad to see that I had not messed up any of the measurements, and the whole installation process went smoothly and painlessly. The buddy who had recommended the company lent a hand. So, I'm sure that if you have someone helping you out, the whole install can be done in a faster timeframe. Now, the other curtains don't match the surviving shades in my place (Oh, almost forgot, I ordered the blackout shades).
