Their cocktail…read moreand wine list is extensive, but their draft beers are limited to Heineken (not my personal favorite but at least they have something on tap). I can say that my friend was fully satisfied by their wine selection, and he knows what he is drinking. In general it is a good place for a quiet after-work drink if you work in the area. I've been here separately for lunch and had a fantastic (surprisingly so) burger. The service was nicely attentive and didn't let our drinks sit empty for long. It's a place that I return to for a fancier lunch if I'm in the mood and drinks when it works after a day at the office. For drinks inside it suits the plan for a nice quiet conversation and for lunch it's an excellent treat!

I saw that the semi-buffet seemed quite popular with the other diners (plates and plates of crab legs!) We just ordered a la carte, each a soup and a main. I had the french onion and she the lobster bisque. Both were meh, I've definitely had better. The lobster bisque was definitely on the watery side, I'm used to mine with a punch more flavor. My main though! I had a rack of lamb (or maybe they called it lamb steak) and it was so well done. Australian lamb was cooked very tender and still juicy, almost medium rare, just the way I like my meats. The sauce it came with ( 2 types) was just enough of a drizzle and a contrast to bring out the flavors of the lamb. I would have this more often if I can!! I though the staff could be more attentive, although I think they looked understaffed. I would come back for the ambiance and to try out other dishes. They have dishes to cover most cuisines to satisfy even bigger groups of people!

So many times had I walked right past it when going to HMV, not knowing that Cafe One was actually part of the Park Lane Hotel! I've only been here once for a friend's birthday dinner, and it was a more than satisfying buffet. The selection of food was great - to start with, I made multiple trips to the salad bar and had loads of salmon - both the smoked salmon and the sashimi. The salmon sashimi was really fresh and I probably ate more than ten pieces! There was pan-fried goose liver as well, which was absolutely divine - it was just melt-in-your-mouth goodness. There was also this baked potato with a layer of melted cheese as well, which was really good too but would've been better if it was hot instead of just warm. I've never really been the kind of person to eat a lot of the mains at a buffet, but this was an exception - the roast beef was really, really good. It was nice and tender and the gravy that came it just brought out its flavor even more! There was a pasta bar as well, where I opted for farfalle in cream sauce with mushroom and bacon. The portion for this was quite small so I actually went back for seconds. They had a pretty good variety for dessert too. There was Haagen Dazs, which frankly speaking is already enough to satisfy me! The chocolate cake was a little dry, but the coffee pudding was great. There was a chocolate fountain too, but unfortunately they had run out of marshmallows and strawberries (it was well past eleven by then) so I could only have it with melon. I would definitely recommend Cafe One for a decent hotel buffet. The variety of food was great and I wasn't disappointed by anything really, besides that they never refilled the marshmallows and the strawberries for the fountain. Service was good too and my plate was always gone by the time I returned with a new plate of food.

You get 360 views of the city and the restaurant actually rotates! It's trippy at first, and I got lost multiple times trying to go back and forth from the buffet, but I could use the extra steps considering how much I ate. The food selection was massive, so there's no way I could write them all but here were some of my notes and things I'd get again: - Made to order grilled beef: really good, we asked for it rare since it's thin - Lobster with cheese was good: They had cold lobster and crab too but it wasn't super fresh to us and was a little watery. - Handmade dim sum: get the XLB and har gow - Roasted meats: Goose, roasted pig. The skin on the roasted pig was to die for. Perfectly thin and crispy - Prime rib: Good but a little over cooked for my liking - Sashimi and sushi: Really good quality - Fried ice cream: Very unique... kind of like the rolled ice cream. - Mango pudding: yum! - Butterfly cookies: I think they won some awards for these and it shows! We had a great time and enjoyed our experience here. They had a special baked Alaska show at 8pm, that wasn't super cool to be honest. I will say it is pretty pricey, but if you eat a lot of seafood, you will get your moneys worth.

They kicked off the holiday buffet early this year (in November), and the vibes are really cool, lots of neon lights and beautiful Christmas decor right at the entrance. The food quality is unbelievable. We actually had a hard time deciding what to grab first! * Seafood: The selection is luxurious. They have an expensive cold seafood tower, fresh lobster, sashimi, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and fish. * Meat Station: The variety is unimaginable. They have everything from Spanish hams and roasted beef to Japanese BBQ meats and Tandoori chicken. * Noodles: Don't skip the noodle station; the Hong Kong noodles and Singapore Laksa were great. The dessert station is so expansive I can't even remember all the selections, but I stuck to the Chinese desserts and loved the egg tarts and the grass jelly with red bean. Service was super attentive the whole night. Pro-tip: We bought our buffet tickets on the KKday app and got a 15% discount. Definitely check there before you book!

We enjoyed tonight the grand seafood buffet dinner . The ambience was great , classic and elegant …read more We booked the dinner and asked for an ocean view table . This was under a special promotion so the dinner price was buy one and get one free ! The food and the display looked amazing. We loved the slow cooking soup in a dainty clay pot . It was super hot and the lady staff took it out one of a time to give to us one a plate . The soup had chicken , fish mew , dried scallops, dried conch all simmer for a long time to made into a soup with rich aroma . I drank three mini pots of soup . Other two soups were chicken feet with pork , chicken and peanut , creamy seafood soup . Both tasted great ! There were all you can eat seafood , snow crab legs were tender and juicy ( served cold ) . Baked oyster and fresh oysters opened by the chef right in front of you , Oysters and sashimi had good quality . The Sushi and sashimi station was nicely display. Raw fishes had good quality . There were rolls too but most people would save the appetizer for other things. The cooked lobsters were cut into a half . It was a disappointment. I only ate one and didn't want any more . It was kind of dried and no flavor. The lobster claws were cooked , shells cracked for easy to eat and warmed up in a gravy . Claws were tasty so I suspected the lobsters lost more of its juice during cooking time and method . What a pity ! We switch to try other things in the buffet . There were too many good options. I loved the Indian curry , basmati rice and giant shrimp chip . There were hot fried rice with crab meats in clay pot , giant and tender steamed fish with green onions was delicious. Peking duck skin & wraps were tasty and delicious . Desserts were good especially the mandarin & chocolate mousse. It was round and red on the outside . Great presentation and the mousse was delicious ! There were many other kinds of dessert like tofu tong sui ( sweet soup ) , fruit jello in cubes , many different kinds of ice cream , etc Free draft beer by the dessert station , hot coffee , juice , soda and many other drinks. The original price was $798 HK per person for dinner on Friday to Sunday night , weekday lunch was $428 HK and the promotion was buy one get one free ! One dollar in US is equal to $7.8 HK dollar . What a deal and the food and service were both top notch. What a wonderful experiences ! At the end of the dinner the chef brought out a giant chocolate egg with many bowls of colorful decorations. The children gathered around to put the cute decorations on before the chef broke it apart ! Parents were video taping them. There were also pasta and salad , many other cooked food. I didn't even have room to mention them all . What a wonderful experience!
