I would highly recommend SGT Auto Transport to all my friends and family! They are great communicators. The service was wonderful. The vehicle arrived a day early and in wonderful shape. The attitude of the driver was great too! I feel like the fee which was less than competitors, was well worth it as opposed to my husband taking the vehicle across country. recommend company! read more

First things first, car was delivered on time, with no scratches. But! We wanted our car shipped from San Jose to Dallas and booked the auto transport after getting a quote of $1450. We were told the car will be picked up within 5 days, so it was not an expedited service. 2 days before the scheduled deadline for pick up, we get a call from a vendor that was hired by SGT, that they can pick up the car, but gave us a quote of $1700. We objected, because that was not the decided price and mind you, we had signed a contract. They said, if we don't use their service now, the next pick up will be after 5 more days. We did not have the option to wait, so we called SGT. The lady on the phone basically said the same thing, that they are functioning in a dynamic marketplace and they cannot guarantee the price. I told her, this was not the agreed upon price. Mind you, none or this was mentioned, when we signed the contract. We had called immediately after the contract was signed to confirm and we were given an assurance that the car would be picked within the agreed upon window, with no mention of price changing. Finally, we had to agree because, we were flying out the day after the pick up deadline and the few companies, we called, they said they can pick up the car in a day or 2 but because it would be an expedited service and hence a higher rate (which we get it). But, that was not the case with this company. There was no talk of price increase and also it was not an expedited service. Basically, we were cornered and left with no choice. Never again, never ever again. Extremely unprofessional and cheats to boot. Absolutely do not recommend. Read the Fine Print. ________________________________________________________________ An update to the above review... Yesterday, we were contacted by a customer service executive from SGT who offered a $250 refund on the condition that we delete our review and sign a contract before receiving the funds. Given our experience, we refused this sequence and proposed that they issue the refund 1st, after which we would amend the review to show that they reached out and resolved the issue. Since then, the communication from SGT has focused heavily on contractual obligations and changing market conditions, even describing the proposed refund as a "one-time courtesy." To clarify the situation: we were initially promised a vehicle pickup at $1,450. After a three-day delay, we were informed that the car can be picked up on the 3rd day at $1700. When we said, we need half an hour to think, we were informed there would be no available pickup for another week. This forced us to sign a new contract and agree to a higher rate of $1,700. We view this last-minute price increase as coercion, especially since their competitor vendors charge $1,700 to $1,800 for expedited shipping, yet we were charged the same rate after waiting for three days. We have full documentation to support these claims, including the original and revised contracts, as well as text chats with customer service agents. SGT must have the call recordings. We advise anyone considering this company before hiring them and to review all contractual terms in detail before signing. This is an extremely dishonest and unreliable company. _________________________________________________________________________ We ultimately chose to accept the revised transportation rate only because we were left with no viable choice in the matter after being made to wait for so long. Had we known that there would be such a significant delay, followed by a price increase, we would never have signed up with your company in the first place. Sticking to the original contract at hand represents honesty. Providing a new contract at the last minute and giving a customer the ultimatum to either accept it or have no service for a week is pure dishonesty. The revised transportation rate and the new agreement were signed and accepted only because of the delays from your end, not ours. We were left in an impossible position, if we canceled the contract, we would have still been charged $200 because SGT was "actively" looking for a transport, and by signing the new contract, we were charged an extra $250 due to "market fluctuations." We were cornered and left with no choice. read more

We agreed on a price for vehicle transport, but the company later backed out because it could not secure a driver for the job. Despite the company being unable to complete the transport, it charged my credit card and falsely claimed that I had canceled the service. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, which reviewed the matter, found in my favor as the consumer, and refunded the charge. Now, approximately five months later, the company has referred the disputed amount to collections. The company also told me that it would not pursue any additional payment if I removed my negative review. I have retained voice recordings and documentation of these conversations. I formally dispute this debt. Should the company continue pursuing this matter or report inaccurate information, I will submit the recordings and supporting documentation to the collection agency, the credit bureaus, my credit card company, Google, and any applicable consumer-protection authorities. read more

ZERO STARS. This company is a sheer scam. They promise to deliver by a certain date, email back and forth with multiple employees who tell you conflicting info and then ultimately you're left with no choice but to deal with the unwanted outcome if you want your car to make it to its destination. This is how this company works; They are a broker. They pay someone else to actually move your car, and they're actually just the middle man that sets your car up with some truck or ship that happens to be going in that direction anyway. SGT finds the cheapest route and pockets the profit they make off the fee they charge you and what they pay the third party. Sometimes, you get lucky and this third party just happened to be on its way to pick your car up. Sometimes you wait weeks, even over a month. It's based on timing-- not the efficiency of SGT. They are unprofessional and take no accountability when it comes to giving you false information. Please do yourself a favor and go with another moving company. Stefano you should be ashamed of yourself. read more

I booked late at night and the next morning call to find out they don't talk with you unless you pay an extra fee. I immediately canceled but they would not refund the $199 deposit. I disputed with them to no avail. So many other great shipping companies out there, do business with one that is honest and not trapping you. read more

So this is the worst company we have ever dealt with. My husband and I had a 2025 Jeep wrangler transported from Florida to Colorado. We contracted with this company and were given a price. A few days before pickup we received a call that they had found a carrier but the price had increased. With little options we approved. Then we received a text offering an upsell "safer option " including top carry and VIP phone access which we paid for. What a joke. There is no phone. When you call them you get a message that their system is down. This went on for weeks. Of course if you call them for a quote they pick up right away. So the "top carry" never happened. They placed the Jeep on a low level and it sustained $9500 dollars worth of damage to the top. Be advised if your vehicle sustains any damage you will be filling a claim with your own insurance company. These cars are considered "cargo " and the usual automobile insurance policies don't apply. You are at the mercy of the carrier's cargo deductible which you need to chase down separately in addition to chasing down their insurance company for the remainder. Forget diminished value or rental car coverage. SGT will be of zero assistance. In fact you will not be able to get in touch with them. The only time they called (which was on multiple occasions) was to offer us money to take down negative reviews . I don't think so. They couldn't pay me enough You will see their AI generated response below. They don't tell you that they took my money for a top carry upsell but had no intention of notifying the carrier so THEY are directly responsible for the damage. And they will not refund that charge . They don't tell you that once you pay you will not be able to contact them. You will get a recorded message that their phone system is down. ALL THE TIME ! I guess that's cheaper than hiring a person. They don't tell you that they manipulate reviews by offering payouts to people that post negative reviews. I'll look into that further but I believe that is a violation of FTC guidelines and if so I will be reporting it. If you look at other online reviews that have NOT been bought off you will see other clients have had similar experiences. It amazes me that in this day and age with the resources consumers have available , that this company actually stays in business. I guess I did not due the proper due diligence , went with the lowest bid which then turned out to be the highest, and fell for the bait and switch . Don't make my mistake. read more

SGT Auto Transport - Fiberglass roof cannot be repaired. Need replacement - Vehicle Shipping Near Me - Bohemia, New York

**BUYER BEWARE!** I recently purchased a Tesla in New Jersey and needed it transported to California. Before booking, I made it VERY clear to every company I spoke with that I had a vacation scheduled in two weeks (Memorial weekend). SGT Auto Transport assured me that was "more than enough time" for delivery, so I trusted them with the shipment. Our contract listed a pickup window between 5/8/26 and 5/12/26, with a guaranteed delivery date of 5/20/26. Even with the latest possible pickup date, they claimed they could transport the car cross-country in 8 days. SGT then subcontracted the shipment to Ozuu Express LLC -- the "professional and reputable carrier" they supposedly stand behind. We heard absolutely nothing until the final pickup day. That afternoon, I was told the driver would arrive between 5-8 PM and would call an hour before arrival. No call ever came, and the driver finally showed up at 8:20 PM. By then it was already dark, making it impossible to properly inspect the vehicle before handing it over. Then things got worse. For the next SEVEN DAYS, I watched my Tesla sit unmoved in the transporter's parking lot through the Tesla app. During that entire time, I repeatedly tried contacting Ozuu Express, but none of their phone numbers worked. When I contacted SGT instead, their phone system suddenly had a recording claiming they were experiencing phone issues and directing customers to online chat support. Since 5/18/26 -- the day the car finally left New Jersey, just TWO DAYS before the promised delivery date -- I was in contact with SGT every single day. The entire time I've received nothing but vague updates and excuses. SGT repeatedly told me they were "trying to reach the carrier" to understand why the vehicle sat for seven days and where it currently was. They also said they were working on a partial refund for the trouble that was caused, but never once got back to me on it. When I followed up on it, they hid behind the "road conditions and weather may cause delays" excuse. Anyone with google can easily disprove this claim. They know the delay had nothing to do with any of that, and everything to do with the vehicle sitting idle in a parking lot for 7 straight days. And they're dodging responsibility. As expected, the driver called while I was away on vacation. I had no one available to receive the car and was told that if I didn't allow them to leave it in my driveway, the vehicle would be taken to a tow yard and I would be charged daily storage fees until I returned. I was left with no choice but to have the vehicle left in my driveway with no way of verifying damage. AVOID AT ALL COST! CHOOSE A REPUTABLE COMPANY! THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM! read more

STAY AWAY!!! ALL OF THESE REVIEWS ARE EITHER FAKE OR PAID FOR!!!! This company is scamming people!!!.. I booked a transport and they were helpful when booking then when the time comes for transporting you can't get ahold of anyone. The "sales team" hangs up in your face and adds your number to some sort of list so it automatically routes you to an automated message telling you to pay for vip service in order to talk to a live representative. read more

I will be reporting this company to the Department of Consumers Affairs. How is this transport company rated so highly? Well there's many paid and fake reviews nowadays. My car delivery arrived 1 day later than promised. And that's not the worst part! After I paid and my car was picked up, the initial link where I can check the status of my delivery turned into a 404 not found page. I called into the numbers listed and all the calls were redirected and never picked up like scam calls. They have 1 option on the line for "VIP" members only, and that was my last resort to dial into, I call in and someone actually picked up but was so rude and dismissive claiming the line is for VIP members only and there's no way they could help check the status of my car or have someone else assist and hung up. There's no live chat to talk with anyone either. How ridiculous is this?? Anyways before paying I was told my car would arrive on the 10th, but it arrived 1 day late, with zero updates and no one to contact or get in touch with until my car arrived out of the blue. I am lucky my car arrived, but I am highly positive this company has scammed an INFINITE amount of people. Highly DO NOT recommend!!!! Also scrolling through these reviews, you can clearly see the "owner" of this company has time to respond to all these negative reviews and takes 0 responsibility and account for any actions they have caused, yet they run their company like a scam center with no one to assist you after they take your money and disable your car tracker. read more

DO NOT use SGT auto transport. The are NOT the company that actually transports your car and DO NOT take responsibility for the terrible carriers they have contracts with. SGT paired me with Ozuu Express which is essentially just a scam company. They delivered my car over one week late, and that's not the worst part. They were completely unresponsive during this time. Even SGT couldn't get ahold of them and this is their contracted carrier! The actual worst part is, my car arrived seriously damaged with two huge dents on the roof. These dents were then spray painted over to try and hide the damage (which is probably why it was over a week late). The damage will cost thousands to repair since a new roof is needed, and of course Ozuu did not voluntarily disclose the damage. When I brought it up to SGT, they were no help/took no responsibility. I've literally never had a worse experience with a so-called "business". Please do not use this company if you care about your car. I literally never leave reviews but I wish someone had warned me. RESPONSE: There is no need to clarify your involvement. If you bothered to read the first sentence of my review you would see I got it right. I never said your company shipped the cars but you are responsible for arranging the transport with reputable carriers, which you failed to do. What would you call a company that ghosts you, arrives over a week late, yells at you, and tries to cover up damage they caused to your car? You forgot to mention that even now the carrier Ozuu Express fails to respond. They quite literally took my money and ran. You were also paid in the process, yet your response also reiterates that you have no sense of responsibility. read more

The experience was very mixed. Pickup Zero and Delivery 4.5 The pickup was a horrible stressful unprofessional experience. Communication was horrible. We were given a time for pickup but ended up having no idea when the driver would actually show up (we were told 6pm of day 1 and it was finally picked up at 12:30pm the following day). All points of escalation for help were useless because it was after normal business hours. Bottom line.....communication would have prevented this. The other disturbing point was the Dispatch email sent to me gave instructions. Most critical information was wrong including Carrier Company name, USDOT #, MC# and driver phone number. How could all this be wrong? The delivery worked very smoothly. The driver texted the evening before with an expected time of arrival. He confirmed that time via text an hour before and arrived on time. The key to it all working smoothly was COMMUNICATION. Update based on Stefano T. Stefano feel free to reach out to me. I would be happy to give you pictures and documentation of info posted on truck showing the carrier information that did not match the email. read more

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! I was given the run around every which way from the moment I booked this service to the moment they dropped my car off. No communication whatsoever. Terrible customer service. They just want your moneyOnce the check clears, they don't care about what your experience is. Once SGT, the broker, contracts your car off to another vendor they are hands off and don't have any answers for anything. I could never get a hold of the vendor who shipped my car, and when I did they always sounded confused about who I was and why I was calling. No one ever reached out to me first. Never. The only way I knew what was going on with my car was if I called first. I was lured in with the VERY low quote, the lowest I could find, just for SGT to tell me on the day of my scheduled pickup that not only could they not pickup my car in the 3 day timeframe I was PROMISED, but it would be an additional $300 that I had no choice but to pay. Jesus Christ, I haven't had such a terrible experience with a vendor in such a long time. I had a VERY stressful move across country, and they did absolutely nothing to make this any less stressful. If you are able to pay a couple hundred more dollars upfront, RUN, don't walk, to another vendor. read more

NIGHTMARE PLEASE DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY I called SGT in a haste because I needed to transport my car from San Francisco, CA to Southern California, it was the first auto transport that popped up in my search so I called for a quote and it sounded fair, so I moved forward with it. The representative hardly gave me any info I had to ask a lot of questions and still was left uneasy. They quoted me $895 for open tow then called on the morning of pickup and said the only available option is enclosed tow for $1100. I said NO, this is not what we agreed on. Later they call again saying "ok we're 30 minutes away can you meet." They NEVER called prior to pickup to confirm a date or time, of course I was at work so the short notice wasn't going to cut it. The whole experience felt very seedy and dishonest. I began to worry about the safety of my car, if they could potentially lose or steal my car. I had to cancel the whole service. I sent an email which I haven't received a reply from and tried calling but now their line is experiencing "high call volume" and they want to send me to a live chat. I'm asking for a refund, they've already charged me $353 after having confirmed a "dispatch" however my car is still in SF and no one has contacted me again since this billing. I have requested a refund and I know they are avoiding it. Worst customer service and overall communication. Straight forward with the quote. They worked out all of the details and the car got there at the same time I did.

What can improve?! Easy, honor your quote! If cannot give a specific date and cost then provide a range rather than telling lies. I asked the man on the phone when setting it up if the price was locked. I asked three times. Each time was a yes! Liar!!! Avoid these people!! Did not honor a single thing on their quote, nothing!!!! Not the amount, not the dates, nothing!!!! Price went up over $400 on a $1769 quote... worthless as the paper written on. Then, they expected me to go to it exactly when Intried to use credit card vs cash. Incredible. I even offered to meet them somewhere closer to the highway over an hour from my home...no change in new inflated price!!!!! Find another broker...or drive it yourself. Maddening experience, extremely disappointing. Nice people on phone or chat, such as Miles or Alexander, but the business owners and managers that require and use this kind of dishonest deceptive and bait / hook type activity are despicable. The BBB and anyone else that will listen is going to hear from me. read more

BEWARE. My actual, verifiable experience. Use them if ONLY you want 1) your quote not to be honored after credit card is given (from $975 - $1375); 2) a pickup time 8 hours after the estimate (11:20PM vs. 4PM); 3) no call from driver until arrival; 4) drop-off estimate 2-3 days - actual drop-off 4 days; 5) lies told by SGT - by extending day-by-day, but giving drop off times throughout; 6) no contact with driver until drop-off day. I do not believe that SGT had contact with the driver or carrier company he worked for because they also didn't answer the phone. So, if you want to risk having a similar experience - go for it. Everything was off the table once they had my credit card, and they treated me like it. I do not believe that the representatives on chat knew where my car was, they were there to pacify and act reassuring. read more

I selected SGT Auto Transport based on the price quote I was given for transporting my vehicle. After placing the order, I was informed that the transportation cost would be significantly higher than the original quote. Because the new price was not acceptable, I canceled the order. My vehicle was never transported. Despite receiving no transportation services, I was charged a $199 cancellation fee. The dispute later escalated to a collection agency, requiring numerous emails, documents, and correspondence to resolve. The collection agency eventually returned the account to SGT. To finally close the matter, I paid the $199 cancellation fee directly to SGT. The company agreed to waive an additional $200 collection-related fee and consider the account paid in full. My concern is simple: I paid $199 even though my vehicle was never shipped and no transportation service was ever provided. My advice to future customers: read the cancellation policy before placing an order, save every email, take screenshots, and document all communications. If the quoted price changes, insist on receiving the revised quote in writing by email before making any decision. Written documentation may become critical if a dispute later arises regarding cancellation rights, fees, or contract terms. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again. Update (08/14/2026) After my review was posted, I was contacted by an SGT Auto Transport representative named Ivy. Ivy sent me a "Good Faith Resolution Agreement" offering a $199 refund related to this matter. During a telephone conversation, Ivy stated that removal of my negative reviews was required before the refund would be issued. However, the written agreement provided to me does not contain any requirement to remove, modify, or delete reviews. To avoid any misunderstanding, I requested that SGT provide in writing all steps required on my part to receive the refund. I specifically asked that any such requirements be confirmed by email. SGT did not provide those instructions in writing. Instead, I was informed that those requirements would not be put in writing. As of today, I have not received written confirmation identifying the specific actions SGT requires in order for the proposed refund to be processed. This update reflects my personal experience and understanding of the communications I have had with SGT Auto Transport. Second Update 08/14/2026 Thank you for your response. I respectfully disagree with several statements in your reply. First, my vehicle was never transported. The reason I cancelled was that I was informed the transportation cost would be significantly higher than the original quoted price. Second, after this review was posted, SGT contacted me and provided a Good Faith Resolution Agreement offering a $199 refund. During a subsequent telephone conversation, I was informed that removal of my negative reviews was required before the refund would be issued. Because I wanted to avoid any misunderstanding, I specifically requested written confirmation of all actions required on my part to receive the proposed refund. I asked that any such requirements be provided by email. No written clarification was provided. Instead, I was informed that those requirements would not be put in writing. Finally, the documents provided to me contain provisions addressing cancellations and refunds in circumstances involving an increase to the quoted transportation cost. Readers may review the company's response, my review, and the contract documents and draw their own conclusions. In my experience, this company seems more interested in collecting cancellation fees than transporting vehicles. SGT gave me a written quote of $1,419 to transport my vehicle. On the scheduled pickup date, they tried to raise the price to approximately $2,000. When I declined the $581 increase and canceled because they would not honor the original quote, they charged me a $199 cancellation fee--even though my vehicle was never transported. After I disputed the charge using the language in their own contract, they offered to return the exact $199 through what they called a "Good Faith Resolution Agreement." However, the agreement described the refund as voluntary "courtesy compensation," required me to accept it as my sole remedy, and included language about possible legal action and attorney fees. During our phone conversation, I was also told they wanted to confirm my negative reviews were deleted before moving forward with the refund. When I requested reasonable changes to the agreement--including making it effective only after the refund cleared and preserving my right to share my truthful experience--they refused to modify it. They then emailed me stating that their agreement was "standard," that it could not be modified, that they had fulfilled their obligations, and that they were not acknowledging any wrongdoing or obligation to refund the money. So they maintain that the cancellation fee was valid, but at the same time they are willing to return the exact $199 only if I accept their resolution terms. In my opinion, that says a lot about how they handled this situation. I may lose $199, but I am not willing to delete an honest review just to get my own money returned. Hopefully, potential customers read this before booking. The loss of trust and future business from customers who see how this was handled could ultimately cost the company much more than the $199 they refused to return without conditions. Be extremely careful with their low initial quotes. In my case, the written price increased from $1,419 to approximately $2,000 at pickup. When I declined the higher price, I was charged $199 for canceling, no transportation service was provided, and getting that fee returned came with additional conditions. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. read more

I highly recommend SGT Auto Transport to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy vehicle shipping service. I have been using their services for several years, and every experience has been outstanding. From the customer support team to the dispatchers and the drivers, everyone has consistently been professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. What truly sets SGT Auto Transport apart is the peace of mind they provide throughout the entire process. From the moment you request a quote until your vehicle is safely delivered, they keep you informed and make the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Their team is always willing to answer questions, provide updates, and ensure that everything goes as planned. I can confidently say this because I have also had disappointing experiences with other auto transport companies. On one occasion, I decided to try another company because they advertised a lower price. Unfortunately, it turned into a very frustrating experience, and they attempted to increase the cost by nearly $800 at the last minute, knowing I was in an urgent situation. Instead of moving forward with them, I immediately contacted SGT Auto Transport again. They stepped in, took care of everything, honored their professionalism, and turned what could have been a stressful situation into another excellent experience. That experience confirmed why I continue to choose SGT Auto Transport every time I need to ship a vehicle. They have earned my trust through honesty, consistency, and exceptional customer service. It is rare to find a company that delivers exactly what they promise, but SGT Auto Transport has done so every single time. If you're looking for a company you can truly rely on, I wholeheartedly recommend SGT Auto Transport. You can feel confident knowing your vehicle is in good hands every step of the way. read more

Sir, I understand your policies but if you were unable to accept my payment method because you could not verify it, then why was it acceptable to be used for the $199 fee you charged me for? As for the cancellation fee, no resources were allocated because nothing was ever arranged, or coordinated. We never made it far enough into the process for those things to take place. I posted this review in hopes of informing others that may be in search of this service and make them fully aware of what they may be getting into. read more

Quick delivery, price matched with other carrier, and no damage to vehicle in route. I chose them due to their high rating.

Under no circumstances use SGT for car shipping. Here's why: - I paid for "guaranteed delivery" but they didn't honor it - while on an international business trip they called me four (separate) times to try to shift the pickup date around to make it cheaper for the carrier (the most active SGT has been throughout the entire process - shows you where the priority is!) They don't ask - they just shift the date to whenever they want. - The rig my car was on broke down on the side of the highway in a random state on the way. I told SGT this (I have a tracker) on Wednesday. They blew me off. I called again Thursday. Blown off, again. By the third day it was illegally unloaded on the side of the turnpike they finally tried to contact the carrier. What the hell were they doing the other two days? - The carrier and his dispatcher decided to try to cover this all up (assisted by SGT's total neglect of their responsibilities), so it's literally Monday now - six days delayed - and I've been texting the carrier directly and monitoring the location of my car myself negotiating to get it delivered. SGT has disappeared and done nothing. - My car will have been delayed, unloaded without my signature, and driven on a rig SGT will not even have the correct information for (it's being put on some random new truck - a I have negotiated myself), seven or eight days delayed by the time it gets to its destination. SGT says "we're looking at how this happened internally" (no refund or even apology!) Why hire a shipping service if you basically have to pay Liam Neeson with your own car after the carrier runs off with it? That's the whole point of them in the transaction. Do not recommend, at all. My car is still parked on the side of a turnpike somewhere and SGT is too busy manipulating reviews to go and find it. Edit to respond to Stefano's bullshit below: six days is not a minor delay, four days of no communication, tracking updates, or any confirmation of location of my property from SGT is not "successfully coordinating the service," and the laughable compensation offered (not by SGT - the carrier who illegally unloaded my car in a parking lot without telling me for days) was $100 off (lol) on a $1400 service. If SGT put half as much effort into doing their job and calling their customers back as it's spent today fighting my Yelp review (it's called me four separate times about it in one day - classy, guys - you want me to add a harassment charge to my chargeback?) we wouldn't be here. read more

I 'hired' this company to transport my car from Glendale CA to Atlanta in May 2026. I signed there minimal agreement and later after reviewing and having POOR customer service experiences with them, I found another company to work with. They received AMPLE notice of my cancellation to transport my car- the reason I cancelled is due to the 'outsourced' driver dispatch when I began to try to schedule pickup clarifications and other things. The company they dispatched was King Auto Transport out of GA- the dispatcher hardly spoke English and sounded like she had screaming kids in the background. My intuition told me to find another company- I did. Then SGT reached out to me when I told them I cancelled- I received multiple emails from 'management'. I told them that. contacted my bank and that their bogus 'deposit' was being disputed as I was not using them. Chase Bank reversed the charges- until low and behold they apparently sent them some contract I had signed so a month later they were able to reverse a charge of $199 WITH NO SERVICES RENDERED. It only gets worse- on the day of my transport-- (WITH ANOTHER COMPANY) the driver from SGT showed up at my door and I almost gave them my car until I asked them for their inspection report, company and when they would be arriving--- it was SGT Transport!!!! They cannot even control or manage their business effectively. These people are CROOKS! GO ELSEWHERE. They are being reported to the Consumer Fraud Division in CA and the FTC and every other place I can report them for their absolute abhorrent customer service and theft funds. read more

SGT AUTO TRANSPORT IS A DECEITFUL COMPANY. They initially told me that they worked weekends and it counted towards my days required for them to find my transport. When the time passed they advised they couldn't find a carrier to transport my car. They then tried to switch up on me and say that the weekends were not included. Being that I needed to get my car transported, I had to look elsewhere. Thats when I found out that these clowns were jacking up the rates without me knowing. They then tried to keep my deposit. Remember, they didnt perform and they lied to get my business. Well, they ended up keeping my deposit and months later I get a collections call on behalf of these clowns. Needless to say I shut the down asap. I would never ever do business with them again. read more

A fairly good experience with transporting. I was a little disappointed with the pricing because I think I was taken advantage of slightly, but overall they did a good job and the driver was excellent at following instructions and I would use them again read more

I've used the service twice to transport vehicles across the country in each case they've exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them if anybody has to move a car.. read more

SGT quoted me $1550 for a transport from Connecticut to Los Angeles. Then they called saying that they had found a carrier but that it would be over $2000 ... take it or leave it, would not try to find any other drivers. Classic bait and switch, an a waste of my time. Stay away from this company. My best guess is that most of their good reviews are fake. read more

Terrible experience with this company. A delivery from NC to TX that should have taken 2-3 days took 3 weeks and my car arrived with a giant crack in the windshield. SGT has little to no customer service so if you run into an issue, there is no recourse and no way to contact them for assistance. SGT did not refund any of my $1500 shipping cost, and did not pay for the repair of my windshield. They did offer me $200 to take down my negative review on the BBB site, which I declined. This company is a joke. They will relentlessly call, text, and email you to sign a contract with them and pay a deposit. But once you are connected with a "carrier" you will no longer have any way to contact SGT. When something goes wrong with the carrier or the driver, you have no recourse because your contract is not with them, it's with SGT. read more

I needed my car shipped from Inglewood CA to Newton MA. I came across SGT Auto after looking through a bunch of other companies and brokers, but decided on SGT after receiving a quote of $1656 for the move. Talking with the sales rep was easy, and so was signing the contract. We decided on a three day window in which my car could be picked up, and everything was moving smoothly. That's the only positive I have for SGT. Everything else has been absolutely abysmal. The first day of my pickup window came and went without a word from SGT. Then, midway through the second day with no word yet, I tried to contact and received no response. Finally, on the third day I got a call back from SGT saying they had found a carrier, but now the price was $2200. That's more than a 30% price hike from my original quote. I was stunned and tried talking to the agent as to why the price jumped so much, and she simple said that this was the new price based on "current market conditions". I was absolutely cornered. SGT waited until the last second possible in my pickup window to connect me to a carrier, and they increased the price by an unreasonable amount, leaving me with no other options. The agent gave me a mere 15 minutes for me to think, not nearly enough time for me to contact other brokers or carriers. I begrudgingly accepted the terms and the new price and arranged for pickup with the carrier later that day, which was also terrible as the carrier was late and lost after SGT stressed to me the importance of being on time for the delivery. I had to immediately leave work with no notice thanks to them waiting until the last second to contact me! Now more than a week has passed since my car was picked up. I called yesterday on my expected pickup day from both SGT and the carrier and they said that I would have to wait at least 3 more days before I can pickup my car. I've asked about any sort of credit or refund for the delays and they have refused to offer me any sort of assistance. I now have to rent a car for far more days than I originally expected, and this whole move is getting more and more expensive thanks to SGT. I will NEVER be using SGT to move any vehicles again. Do not make the same mistake that I did! read more

There's a reason why they are cheap. False promises! I scheduled a time for my car to be picked up and was told that they couldn't find someone to deliver my car. Waited the 3 days they give you and didn't get a single call about my pick up. The day later was told they didn't find anyone to deliver my car so they had to contact another company to do it for them and they CHARGED ME EXTRA ($400+). Do not trust this company. They don't even pick up their phones. read more

I thought I was getting a reputable company to ship my kids car cross country. You are give a price online - then they act as a broker to ship and I guess they have to negotiate with the transport companies to match your price plus their fee. I spent weeks waiting for them to assign a carrier (no response to my emails) - then the week it was supposed to ship they finally called and wanted to tack on another $800 dollars or so dollars. They said their prices aren't guaranteed and are subject to change - what a garbage operation. Don't do it - find someone else. read more

Just got off the phone with Garrett. He was easy to work with and made sure that the price I got was locked in. This is my second time working with this company in the past 8 months and they haven't failed to provide excellent communication and customer service. If you need help with anything. Ask for Garrett. He was always the most helpful while communicating over the phone. Thank you! read more

Here's a polished version of your review that keeps the facts clear and professional while expressing your concerns: After doing extensive research, we chose SGT Auto Transport to ship a Toyota Land Cruiser from Fort Collins, Colorado, to California. We were quoted a price of $1,000, and after providing our credit card information, we agreed to move forward with the transport. Just days before the scheduled pickup, SGT Auto Transport contacted us and informed us that the cost would be nearly double the original quote. Over the next several days, we went back and forth as they attempted to find different drivers, but every new quote far exceeded the price we had originally agreed upon. Ultimately, the transport was canceled. Coincidentally, on the same day, unauthorized charges totaling more than $1,700 appeared on my credit card. While I cannot directly connect these charges to the company, the timing was extremely concerning. Based on this experience, I do not trust this company and would not recommend them to others. The significant price increase after booking, combined with the issues surrounding my credit card, left me very dissatisfied and concerned. This version is strong but avoids making any claim that the company committed fraud, which helps protect you if you're posting it publicly on review sites. read more
