Worst experience ever. Horrible communication, I would have to call multiple times until I would finally get a response. When I received the keys for the unit I was moving into nobody did an inspection and the place was extremely dirty, trash, socks and even needles with syringes in the cabinets! Alot of stuff in the apartment needed maintenance, I requested a form to fill out for damages upon receiving my key and I never received the form. I never received a copy of the HOA rules was just told by Gloria I would receive them via email and never did. My AC stopped working and it took 17 days to get me a portable one that would not cool down the unit at all in the middle of a heat wave in July. Upon moving out the guy from the office who said he would meet me at the apartment never showed up, didn't bother to notify me or check in with me at all instead someone else showed up. Unfortunately I would not recommend this property management company to anyone. read more

We have been satisfied with SG PROPERTY MANAGEMENT this past 10 years. Stephanie (broker) has always got things done fast and correct. She has great communication with me as an owner. She has a great office staff. Gloria, when asked any questions, she gets you the answers. Gloria has great communication skills. When it comes to maintenance of a property, Stephanie has a great person running that section of the business. The most important part is that I get my monthly rent. Better options don't settle , weren't very responsive, was looking for a studio found one that would be a good fit , applied and was approved, but not for the one I applied for , SG was trying to sell me a unit that smelled of urine and was told it was identical to the one I viewed but smaller around 100-120 sq smaller. Telling me this is better then one you originally saw. They haven't listed it. In my opinion means they were trying to push a un wanted unit onto me. read more

We moved into an apartment managed by SG about 2 years ago. We were so grateful because we had to find a place very last minute. When we moved in the apartment clearly was not cleaned the way it should have been before renting it out. The blinds were all broken and it desperately needed a deep cleaning. We did get new blinds and SG took that out of next months rent. The problem now is we have moved. I cleaned that house top to bottom and repaired things that were half ass repaired when I moved in. The apartment was listed as available 2 days after handing the keys over. Here we are now 31 days later and still can't get our $1750 deposit back. In California legally it's 21 days. Everytime we have called it's been "let me call you back I don't have your info in-front of me". This is a re accruing issue because another tenant that moved had this same issue. Unfortunately, in order to get her deposit back she had to threaten legal action. It looks like we too will have to contact someone and report this company in order to get our deposit back. Today we attempted to get info about our deposit AGAIN and Tatyana said she would call us back. They are now closed and still no call from Tatyana. I do not recommend going through this company. This is extremely unprofessional. UPDATE: My husband ended up having to go to the office and confront them face to face to get our deposit and a half months rent. $100 was taken for "cleaning". Now, that's totally understandable IF someone had actually come and cleaned. So basically they just kept $100 and said it was for cleaning. I have photos of when we moved in and how dirty it was and photos of when we left and how clean it was. We have been told a couple of times that we were great tenants and we always paid our rent on time or ahead of time. This is how we are repaid for being good tenants. Not only that but when we were looking to find another place to rent we met and became good friends with the lady who owns the apartments next door. When she called to confirm we were good tenants she was told "there had been instances" with us. What "instances"?! Your guess is as good as mine because we had never had any issues. Unless calling to let the managers know the trash is being dug through by homeless people and trash is all over the place because they won't put locks on the dumpsters and letting them know the washer is broken and now flooding the laundry room is an "instance". They don't care about their tenants it's all about money for them. read more

My favorite part of living at 117 Spruce St Modesto Ca 95351 was eating roaches with my cereal I also loved the friendship with our landlords. They would send text messages almost everyday with a new complaint. It was really fun living in the same area as our landlords specially when they would get in arguments with the other tenant and give us a free drama reality show. Really great place to live at if you want to constantly deal with your Car getting blocked when your landlords have parties all the time. Amazing place if you like to go hunting for rats the rats make amazing roommates to share food with. Especially the landlords wife who looks like a hairy rat herself without make up. And the landlords kids have the worst attitude and would call us names. The best part is living in the back next to the ally where there's constantly homeless people and crazy people trying to break in to your place and getting in fights. But nothing beats the owners getting pissed over not closing the gate correctly don't be surprised if you get asked to leave after 8 years cause they want to "renovate." read more

SG property management is all about their money. They expect you to leave the places spot less and still take money from your deposit for cleaning that never gets done. The employees don't communicate with each other at all so conversations are always back and forth. We also received our deposit after 21 days and had so many issues with them through out our stay. The washer and dryers are constantly breaking and they do nothing about it. The homeless are always lingering around and cause disturbances throughout the night trying to buy drugs from a downstairs apartment. They let just anyone move in. Gun violence was also an issue there and it's not a safe environment especially if you have children! read more
