The work started right on the arranged date, and the crew was extremely efficient. They pressure washed the entire house, even the vinyl siding that was not to be painted. The attention to detail was impressive, and care taken to tape and protect non-painted areas. They put in some long days to avoid weather issues! Gabriel stands by his work and goes above and beyond with customer service. For exterior house painting, his bid came in competitive and he indicated he would provide 2 coats of paint. As we walked around the house I was impressed by all the items he was calling out that they would take care of after pressure washing and for prep along with his attention to detail. When they showed up to do the work, I provided input on a few things just to make sure that it wouldn't be missed during prep and they always said sure, we'll take care of it without hesitation. Gabriel even helped me understand their process further and explained a few things to me, which I appreciated. During the final walk through, I already marked a handful of small things with tape (inevitably there will always be a few touchups and polishing touches needed) and Gabriel was quick to add more blue tape for items that he would fix. Three days after pressure-washing the house, they started prep work, taping the windows & around fixtures, removing the downspouts, scraping off old caulking, etc. The following day painting began. Due to some rain, the job was completed 1 day later than estimated, but they did what they could. The job took 1/2 day for pressure washing and 5 days to prep and paint. The crew was great, arriving early or on time each day and really working hard making sure they did everything properly. They even put back big potted plants that had to be moved, which I really appreciated. Jorge came by the work site each day to make sure things were going smoothly and answer any questions I had. There are a lot of painters out there, so choose carefully, choose A&I's Painting! I will hire them again for sure!

I reached out to A and I's Painting in the middle of a water damage repair - the first contractor (Premier Water Removal) had ghosted me after I tried to get them to finish repairing and painting the ceiling in my bedroom. Jorge, from A and I's, answered my request for bid and came out to scope the job the next day. He identified an issue that others had missed, which was necessary and would require the entire bedroom to be painted. This gained my trust and he promised he'd find a way to work me into their busy schedule. He did that and more. He prepped the room himself to reduce the time that the painters needed to fit into their schedule. The painting was done days later and it is flawless. There is no evidence, NONE, that a large hole was patched, textured and painted. The rest of the job was the same quality and this company was a pleasure to work with!

After Armor Roofing remodeled the beam structure and installed skylights, Refined Painting patched the new interior two-beam sets with "mud" and paint to make each one of them appear like single white smooth textured beams. They also textured a portion of a wall that needed attention after a roof leak. They did a flawless job with multiple coats of priming, patching and painting the beams and returned a couple weeks latter to sand, "mud" and repaint a few small bubbles that arose in the curing process. The crew really is refined in their craft which goes way beyond painting. Jose, Luis, Julio and the entire crew are pros -- I want to say "artists" -- in drywall, texturing, reconstruction prep and painting.

I already gave him more than 50% after he finished half of the project. I told him that because he changed his price midway, he didn't have to finish the job. (I have a handyman that can finish the small painting job of an hour.) After I told him that I no longer wanted to work with him because he changed the price (at that point, I already paid more than 50% of the original estimated price), Ben became mean, aggressive and demanded even more money from me, wouldn't leave my property, pounding on my door - made me feel unsafe at my own house. He took the picture of my house and the way to get into the backyard without asking me for permission and threatened me. He said that I would be sorry for this or something similar to that. Similar to Anna M., I had to call the police. ~~~ Not long after we had an abnormal interaction with Ben, someone drove a sedan type car and parked next to our house at 4 am (near the area Ben took pictures of our house without our permission), the thief ended up stealing things from one of our cars. ~~ Now we installed security cameras all around the house and we reported all of these incidents to the police. We live in a very safe neighborhood normally. Now we also alert our neighbors to look out for abnormal activities as well.

Extremely Unprofessional and Disturbing Experience with Benjamin Gomez…read more I had a deeply troubling experience with this contractor, Benjamin Gomez. I hired him to repair a small set of stairs and a handrail. The stairs were completed by two workers he brought in, and that part was acceptable. However, Mr. Gomez did not complete the handrail repair as promised, skipped important steps, and left the work sloppy and unprofessional, yet he demanded full payment for the partially and unprofessionally completed work on the handrails. At the beginning of the project, I paid half of the total cost as a down payment per his request. When I asked for a receipt, he claimed he did not have it with him and would email it, which he never did. He then asked me to write checks without anything in the memo line, stating it would "mix up his taxes." Midway through the work, he requested additional cash payments ($500), which I paid for materials. Again, when I asked for receipt confirmation, he promised he would email it but never did. When I repeatedly asked him for receipts or confirmation of payment, he kept making excuses and eventually refused to provide any receipts for the checks or cash he received. He also kept changing the agreed price and the agreed steps of the work throughout the project, making the entire process unreliable and frustrating. Eventually, I asked him to finish the job before releasing the final part of the payment. At that point, he showed up at our door unexpectedly, forcibly entered the house, and demanded full payment for the handrails, which in my experience were only partially and unprofessionally completed. When I explained that I could not pay the full fee under these circumstances, he threatened to hurt me and my family and to damage our home if he did not receive the payment. I made the payment online to de-escalate the situation, but as his aggression continued to rise, I told him I would contact the police. The incident was handled through law enforcement, and he quickly left, but on his way out, he damaged the handrail with the metal scraper he had brought. Based on my experience, Benjamin Gomez was unprofessional, unreliable, and threatening, and made me feel unsafe in my own home. I would strongly recommend avoiding this contractor. I do not recommend this company because they don't paint any difficult to get to places that are fully visible, do not care if their paint chips off the walls, and don't follow through on their "2-year paint warranty".
