The work the team did was beautiful and a great value for the price. We went a little over 10% over budget, which is just about what I expected for a project like this, and I was pleasantly surprised that we actually finished a few days early. The work comes with a 3-year warranty too (which we needed in the past and have had no trouble using), which gives extra peace of mind. Each person on the project - Elena the project manager, Juan the site supervisor, Alexa the designer, John the estimator, and especially the lead technician Cornelio was a pleasure to work with. As with any renovation, there are always surprises and hiccups along the way, but the team handled everything professionally, even when I was stressed and occasionally cranky. One thing of particular note was how much the team was willing to work with me when the inevitable surprises came up. There are things that nobody can foresee, which usually results in a change order and extra cost, but then there are those little things where everyone leaves a conversation with a different impression. In those latter instances, I always really appreciated how willing everyone was to meet me halfway and to make sure I felt good about how things were going and confident that we were doing right by each other. All in all, I highly recommend them and they will be my first call next time I have a project!

We reached out to several companies for quotes and while everyone was professional and knowledgeable, Tom stood out with his attitude and clear experience; he even noticed a few things that others had missed. The quote was reasonable, not the most expensive and not the least expensive, but solid. Tom helped us design the plan of action, including removing the bathtub and replacing it with a walk in shower, and shortly thereafter the work began. What can I say other than "Wow". Tom, Jose and the whole crew were absolutely fantastic. Whether it was Ruben whose work ethic would put anyone to shame, or the beautiful work that Ronald did on the tiling, the end result (just shy of 2 weeks later) was better than we could have hoped for. Can't recommend them highly enough. We have a 2nd bathroom that needs remodeling also and we will certainly be going back to Tom and the team to take care of it for us.

We contacted Harvey with Mistival late in the spring to pursue a remodel of our outdated kitchen…read more We wanted estimates from multiple places. Harvey was by far the most enthusiastic and attentive in the bidding process. He came in with the best price of the three bids, and offered the best combination of competence and price. From there, Harvey did a fantastic job walking us through the best way to achieve what we wanted (removing a peninsula that cut off the breakfast nook; converting a large, outdated pantry- that used to be used for a washer/dryer- into a coffee bar area; installing some floating shelves). Harvey also pointed us to counter and cabinet vendors that had exactly what we wanted for our new look. Even when we came up with ideas during the renovation beyond the scope of what we originally talked about, Harvey was very accommodating. The Mistival crew did a fantastic job, working as quickly as they could. When we noticed a few smaller issues during the renovation, Harvey and his crew were very fast in getting it corrected as quickly as they could, even with some supply chain issues. Overall, we were very impressed, we're very happy with our new kitchen, and I'm glad to recommend Mistival.

Granite Outlet did not install my counter tops. My review is based on preliminary email…read morecorrespondence. I agree with the other reviewer: customer service is severely lacking at Granite Outlet. I emailed them for a quote and they came back significantly higher than another company I was in contact with. Out of courtesy, I shot them an email thanking them for the quote and explaining that I found the same product for less elsewhere. The response I received after my email was a very patronizing and macho. I emailed back saying that I didn't appreciate the tone and asked them to refrain from email me again. Minutes later another snarky and defensive response. Thank goodness I didn't go with these guys. They definitely have some problems following what I consider simple directions. PASS.

Their customer service is simply horrible. Richard from their Rockville showroom is rude and…read moregetting him to return a phone call is pretty much impossible. Their operations department isn't much better. They certainly don't care about making their customers happy. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of places in the area that do granite, go to one of them. They might be a bit more expensive, but trust me it is worth it. I wish we could do it all over again and not be stuck working with Granite Outlet. I should have taken a hint with their website being "graniteforless.com" - less indeed. To further illustrate this - once you get your counters, you don't hear a word from them. You'd think that they would want to make sure you were happy with their product, that everything went well, and that the install was fine but they don't. They've got your money at that point so that's all they care about. Granted, at this point it's probably better for Richard's ears that he never call me again, but it would have been a nice outreach gesture to at least ask if we liked what we got. The end product was fine, albeit not as nicely crafted as counters from other sources. There are some severely rough spots on the underside of the counter lip that should never be there. I just have to cross my fingers that they hold up. If I could take the whole process back and go someplace else, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
