The clams/mussels in white wine sauce was very good. However, the highlight of our meal was the veal liver. It was spectacular. This was the best liver I've ever tasted in my life. So good that we could not believe it was liver. The liver itself was very tender and flavorful but the secret is in the gravy. Apparently, the waiter told us that it is an old Venetian recipe which the chef uses. The waiter actually brought out the chef and we could not thank him enough for the outstanding dish.

On a Friday around 1pm, right after we sat down, the restaurant sudden filled up with additional customers to about three-quarters full. Approximately two dozen seats inside and another dozen street side tables outside. Inside it's got a mom and pop traditional restaurant feel--a handful of two and four tops, a drinks fridge/wine chiller, a small corner bar, with medium-toned wooden tables and chairs. We checked in with the staff inside and they gave us the option to sit in or outside, we chose outdoors. Menus are scanned via QR code and if I recall correctly they have mostly Italian with some English. We ordered: - seasonal artichoke and vegan bacon pizza €16: first of all, the scale isn't obvious from my photo--it was a 12 inch pizza, for an individual pie--HUGE! Glad I saw the table over receiving their pizza first so I didn't make the big mistake of ordering more than one. While waiting, I got a miniature bottle of Chardonnay and my spouse sipped a Coke Zero. The Traiano Porchetta sandwich (12€ - 4 stars) is an original creation of the out-going owner with a mighty Mustard-flavored blend of Roast Pork, Sun-dried Tomatoes, and Grilled Eggplant. I like mustard and, therefore, liked this specialty much more than my wife, but we ended up ignoring portions of the so-so bun. Pane & Vino Special Porchetta (12€ - 4 stars) was a huge sandwich with the sliced Roast Pork Porchetta plus Mozzarella Cheese, Grilled Eggplant, Grilled Peppers, Mushrooms, Lettuce, and Mayo on classic Italian Pane. It needed more mayonnaise or a sprinkle of balsamic and olive oil for my tastes, but there was no denying it was a hearty hero. They offer carnivorous versions as well for the people who are not thrilled about the prospects of soy cheese and tofu.
