The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make this an enjoyable day for us. In terms of accessibility, be warned that there is a VERY steep incline down to the dock from the parking area, and even from the unloading area. Staff provided yeoman's assistance to get my wife's wheelchair down to the dock, but we elected to drop her off at a nearby dock and driving one of our cars to pick her up there to avoid having to push her back up that incline, which was difficult enough for 3 out of shape 69 year old men to climb without a wheelchair to push. That said, everything else about the outing was excellent. Thanks to the group for giving us an outstanding day! The boat was just as advertised!

The highlight is the Tanawha Trail that runs 13.5 miles and includes Grandfather Mountain. There are canoes available for rental and the lake is stocked with fish. Family booked a boat for multiple days on lake. While on the water our first day a family member had a medical incident requiring emergency support. With barely any cell service we were able to get in touch with the Marina spoke to a person who through what was probably garbled communication they understood the situation and had an ambulance and cold water for kids waiting for us as soon as we got there.
