However as a repeat customer, I was disappointed to receive a manicure that didn't last an evening without beginning to peel and smudge. During my manicure, I felt the technician was rushing and handling my hand in a rough manner which made me feel uncomfortable during what I expected to be a relaxing experience. Then prior to leaving, I examined my manicure to realize a few of my nails were already smudged and returned inside the shop. The technician had already left and another technician fixed the nails that were smudged. Still to my disappointment, when I got home my nails were smudged and beginning to peel off. Feels like a waste of money because I want to remove the polish from this unsightly manicure and I've only had it for a few hours.

Of course I waited too long but explained to Donna my situation. She said "no problem. I'll have them back to you within the week." Teo days later she texted me and said they were done. I went back and everything was done beautifully except one pair that was about 1/2" tight in the waist. Donna said no problem I'll adjust them and have them back before your trip. As soon as I got back to my house, Donna said "they're done". Unfortunately I live about 25 minutes away so I told her I would grab them the next day or two when back in Kona. I told her she was too efficient. Thankfully I now have someone really good for tailoring. But here's the best part. She is a total sweetheart and a fun person. Donna saved my wedding dress and my wedding day! I had taken my dress to another seamstress months…read morebefore the wedding to let out the hips of the dress a little bit. The had been enough fabric in the seams to let out and the seamstress said she could do it. Long story short, she could not do it, kept assuring me she could fix it and ultimately, two days before my wedding, gave me a dress that was ripped at the seams, puckered at the hips and looked nothing like a finished wedding dress. My mom is an excellent seamstress and undid some of the damage but didn't have the time or equipment available to completely fix the dress. Desperate, I looked up local seamstresses online and came upon Donna's page. I called her and she answered, even though it was after hours, and agreed to take a look at the dress. *The day before the wedding* we finally got the dress back from the first lady and ran it over to Donna. The difference in attitude and appraisal was night and day! It was beyond clear that Donna knew what she was talking about and collaborated with my mom about a solution. She was very empathetic, professional and caring, and actually came up with solutions to the dress damages (unlike the original seamstress). In one afternoon she not only fixed the wedding dress, she made it look better than the original! My husband and I are young and on a budget and were planning on selling the dress after the ceremony. After the dress got ruined I was not only heartbroken over the state of my expensive, dream dress, but was also scared that I couldn't even resell the dress in the state the first seamstress had put it in. Donna came in and erased all of those fears! Not only did my dress look perfect on my wedding day, but she also upped the value of it so that I can now safely, and with good conscious, sell it. I wish I had found Donna earlier in the alteration process but am BEYOND grateful and stoked that I found her when I did. If you need any kind of alteration done I cannot recommend Donna enough! Aunty Donna, mahalo from the bottom of my heart. You performed nothing short of a miracle and I will be eternally grateful for your skill, mastery and kindness.
