The store is filled with beautiful textiles that just make you want to lay down and make yarn snowmen. That's a thing! Right? I love walking through and looking at all the textures and colors. Every corner has something that captures my eye or attention. All the events provide coupons, gifts, and ideas to encourage purchasing at reasonable prices. There's a "secret" room in the neck with discounted yarn. Do NOT miss this special room. There are beautiful choices in that room that allow you to make full projects at reasonable prices The best part though is the coziness of the shop. There are little nooks and crannies in which to sit and create beautiful things. I like to bring my needles and yarn and just sit in the gathering area crocheting while people come and go. The constant movement, chatter, and energy of people around me while my service dog sleeps near my feet feels like a little retreat. It calms my spirit to get in this shop! The shop has events, classes, workshops, and is an amazing community of talented textile artisans eager to share their skills and knowledge. They had an event this past weekend, Elfin Around. I run a business with a friend and we were a…read morevendor at this event. The event was terrible. All the customers were rude. Now I know that's not their fault, but they had these bingo cards for the customers to take and fill out at each vendor. Most of the customers were ONLY concerned about the bingo card and getting their free prize. We don't think this helps local vendors at all! Especially lack of spreading the news about said event. We sent them an email regarding our concerns and how this bingo thing wasn't exactly a great idea, especially if the idea is to help out vendors, not just your store. And we also stated was wanted a refund. They wrote back and said that whatever time we have with the customer is on us and that we should "try harder" to sell our products. They denied us our refund and were rude near the end of the email. And they also blamed us for not putting the event out there as to why we didn't get more customers. And whoever customers showed up, were rude and threw the bingo cards at us to stamp while talking to whoever they came with. Tell me, how are you supposed to sell an item to people who aren't even acknowledging you're there? Mind you, we've gone to this event a couple times in the past. The first couple of times was fine, since we were getting our foot in the door. But the event before this one, they didn't even make sure to put the correct address on whatever advertising they had. Any time this place tries to do an event, it's very unorganized and A LOT of vendors don't get any sales because of the free door prizes they offer to the people JUST FOR SHOWING UP. I don't think this helps any vendors. It wastes our time and our hard work that we put into getting things ready and set up for such events. This was part of the email that we were sent: "The decision to use the Bingo cards was multifold. Its main purpose is to make sure that our shoppers get to experience ALL of our vendors through the building (not including the store). It also allows people to stop for a moment at your booth. You can do what you want with that moment you have with those customers. The opportunity maybe was not taken to talk about your product or get them involved with your items. That is again unfortunate and reflected in your sales. Even if they were rude to you as you say, it would have been up to you as an ambassador of your created items, to put a smile on your face and turn them around to buy." We've been doing craft shows for a couple of years now and that is not how it should be ran. Other vendors were packing up and leaving the event hours before it ended because it was so slow and they were getting the same treatment. We talked with surrounding vendors(as we always due at events) and they didn't do any better than we did and they were just as frustrated with how bad the turnout was.

Needing a small token for a friend, we stopped in and found a hidden gem of a shop. Located on the main street in downtown Oconomowoc, this is a must-visit shop while visiting this wonderful town in Lake Country. We found so many unique items, from cards, candles, silk flowers, home decor and so much more, all in a small but lovely area. I came out with several items and will return regularly as I need small gifts for others, or just for my own enjoyment. And the pricing was appropriate. The store is wheelchair accessible from the rear entrance, not from Wisconsin Ave. Inside this building are other cute shops of all types, and sits in an area of wonderful shops, restaurants and lakefront activities. You can make a day of it with your friends, family or by yourself.
