I spoke with Mare, who's amazing by the way, and she suggested I try Ashiatu massage. I had never heard the term before. "Ashi" means foot. Therefore, it's a barefoot massage that involves using bare feet to apply strokes, assisted stretching the muscles. It's freaking awesome. I'm totally weirded out by feet, but I needed this. It the room looks all BDSMish, but it's totally not. She uses drilled poles to steady herself. I was so apprehensive but excited at the same time. Mare's sweet disposition put me at ease. I really valued my experience because I didn't think about her bare feet. I was relieved and listened to the flute and waves. If you're open and want to try a different type of massage, then this is a viable option. Did I mention they take FSA/HSA, too? Check of their list if serves. It seems they have a host of great medspa offerings such as IV Hydration, Sauna, inferred, and salon services.

I made an appointment with Karlee and crossed my fingers. I had pretty dark hair and wanted to go blonde. We knew it would take a couple sessions because it's almost impossible to go from cheap black dye to blonde in a single session. I ended up leaving my first appointment with a beautiful copper color and fell in love with it. I just stuck with it! Karlee is super nice and honestly a saint for putting up with me lol. I hope neither of us ever move because my hair is the best it's ever been and it looks gorgeous thanks to her! The salon itself is gorgeous and welcoming. The huge windows bring in a lot of light so when the weather is nice you really get to see how good your hair turned out. Also I know I'm not the only person that has left a hair appointment with a sore neck because the wash bowls have no support so let me just say their wash bowls are the most comfortable I've ever sat at. I'd leave another 5 star review just for that. I literally can't think of a single negative about this place

Walked in, it wasn't packed, and I appreciated that -- you could tell they were actually focused on their clients and not just rushing through back to back. They offered me something to drink while I waited and the green tea with lavender was really good!! Mark was my stylist -- he was professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me. I always have to follow up with a flat iron. That's a big deal for my hair type. I left with my hair looking amazing and didn't need to touch it. Also the products made my hair smell amazing! I was charged extra for longer hair but I expected it and the price was fair. Most importantly, I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable the whole time. This salon deserves their flowers -- highly recommend.

I had tried two stylists before him and both ruined my hair, leaving it fried and brassy (think two consecutive days of bleach kind of damage). I made an appointment with Derek thinking it would take multiple salon visits to get it repaired. Upon making the appointment, he asked for details of my hair status and what I wanted (with pictures). He not only fixed what I thought was unfixable, he did so in one visit! Communication with him was very clear from the start and he's upfront with prices. I'm grateful I found him. Highly recommend!

I found the gem Trois Salon on South Blvd that specializes in natural pressed hair care. Since I found it a few weeks ago, I've been there twice and both times the Atlanta native Rhondalyn did my hair. Rhondalyn was excellent! She handled my hair with care and gave me the personalized attention I needed. Both times I've been there, I don't have to wait long and I'm out of there in a hour to a hour and a half. She knows a lot about maintaining a healthy natural while still getting it pressed. I was happily surprised that she didn't use a lot of unnecessary heat and my friends when seeing it thought I had a relaxer...yes she's that good!!! I have not been disappointed yet and will be back when I can. Her prices are a little more than the average Charlotte hairdresser, but trust me it's worth it!!! Con: the only thing that is missing is a hydrator/steamer...but I'm going to try my best to convince her to invest in one (wish me luck!) in the future.
