A highly recommended activity for your next event, fundraiser,…read morebachelorette, etc. This is an amazing private "paint night" experience that goes where you need them to go. I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

This event was fun! We decided on "Cornflower N Dairies"…read morePaint Nite event on a Saturday because weekdays are just difficult to manage. The location is for this event was Saturday at Michael's Porthole 92 New St. Oceanside, NY. This location is not easy to get to and if you don't have a GPS or a good map you can be lost. Even with a GPS we were a little confused because we "Have reached our destination" but still almost 2 block away and going in the winter time there is no one around on this dead end road to ask for information.Luckily we found Michael's Porthole. The painting area was setup in their large bar room that remind me of a beer garden. The structure is no permanent, a canvas cover roof so it was pretty cold when we arrived. I had to get two cup of hot coffee before I warmed up. I recommend getting here early to get the best seat you can; many of the seats were already reserved for groups. The available open seats were on the ends or sides of the room and the lighting can been good or bad. I prefer a bright spot so I can see better. Before you start go take a photo of the sample painting put up by the instructor so you can look at it at your seat. The Instructor has a headset and walks you through the whole 2-hour event. Two assistants were helping the students and the restaurant staff is always available for drinks and food. Yes, some people were eating burgers and painting at the same time. The whole painting experience was fun! Some people are very good painters and some are there for the fun experience. Check the internet for discounts. ***Note: the locations inside NYC has a surcharge on the Groupon deal. That was why we went out to Long Island instead of locations in Queens.

The instructor was attentive and told all of us that the everything looked good, and he took photos. He stated that the resin would harden in 24 hours. Issue: the resin never hardened. Bigger Issue: We emailed Yaymaker informing them of the issue and we only received an canned response: 'thank you for the email', etc..., with no corrective action or compensation for the poor quality of resin. I cannot recommend this resin coaster event. It was truly a big disappointment! Apparently Yaymaker does not have any customer service integrity and do not stand behind their product.
