I never stated anything about whether your facility was is compliance with state licensing regulations, which are the bare minimum requirments for all licensed child care facilities and nothing to be bragging about. You say things like that your policies are "clearly communicated," with no such explanation of what you mean, when I provided factual details and pages of "critical context." You have now accussed me of "repeated concerns regarding hostile communication and ongoing disruptive interactions with staff." For the prospective families reading this, I implore you, Ms. Peggy, to define what your definitions of "hostile communication" and "ongoing disruptive interactions" and "combative" are. I also give you permission to state what dates and claims about me you are even referring to, but make sure to to include "critical context" without being "inaccurate" or "misleading" when doing so. Parents need to be aware that you were never around during the incidents I described, so you have no basis for knowing whether anything I described was inaccurate. I asked a lot of questions that your staff didn't like and 1st I was called "rude" for it and now that I documented my experiences, you are trying to label me "hostile." Shame on you. This is basic mean girl bullying and the wrong way to respond to a review because it is not 5 stars.

There are also many opportunities for fun events to meet other parents. I really can't say enough good things about this daycare. It's clean, they provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and it's affordable. The activities are engaging and I really appreciate the practical life skills being taught. My son clearly has so much love for both of them, and it means the world to see how cared for he is every day. The staff at the school are always polite and welcoming, which creates such a warm environment for both parents and children. I also love when my son comes home with the creative arts and crafts they do in class--those little projects are so special when there's two working parent's. Most importantly, my son is thriving here, and that gives me so much peace of mind. Thank you so much to Ms. Swarna and Ms. Lupita for the love and care you show my son every day and for making this journey as a new mom so much easier.

If I could give them 10 stars I would!…read more When I called searching for a school for my then 4 year old, I was so distraught coming from a horrible preschool experience. Crying just about every day. I found them on Yelp. We met with Director Crista and Teacher Parisa to see if it would be a good fit. We toured and talked about the school's philosophy and teaching model. I had a very good feeling. There are so many student teachers always helping the teachers, as they are completing their education attending CSUN. These are trained professionals here that strive to help your child grow. They have an interest in early childhood and developmental education or they wouldn't be here. As opposed to daycares and preschools who just hire anyone who obtains a certificate. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Here, they help children to learn, communicate, understand, and emotionally grow. They understand each child's emotional needs, helping them to socialize, work together, building confidence, learning strategies, having routines and structures. They have the most beautiful play yard! Lots of beautiful trees, swings, grassy areas, sandbox, jungle gym, tricycles, hopscotch, sidewalk chalk, learning and exploring tables. Water tables. So much to do for active children. Reminds me of my childhood backyard. Weather permitting, they eat lunch and snacks outside under the shade of trees and in nature. I love this! Our teachers Parisa, Solomon, Jimena, were the best! The ratio of children to teachers is lower than most schools, as they always have two main teachers and 1 to 2 student teachers. Director Crista is also very involved with the kids, she is absolutely amazing with children. All of the teachers and staff are great here. Many have been here for a decade or more, that speaks volumes. Denise in the front office helped so much with accepting our CCRC, I'm so grateful! I can't say enough good about this little hidden school. I never left there after dropping her off wondering if my child was ok. It's a great feeling knowing they are being nurtured and safe while you are gone. She looked forward to going to school every day! Can't forget to mention that you are welcome to visit anytime. Although the facility remains locked and monitored, they have observation rooms available to come and observe your child behind 2 way mirrors in classrooms. Nothing to hide here. I literally cried every day of our last week here knowing that we were moving on to Kindergarten. We would definitely still be here if they offered Kindergarten. I can't say good about this school! Get on the waitlist if you have to!

You can trust that they will take great care of your child. The school is well-staffed; the teacher to student ratio is unparalleled: approximately 1 teacher to 4 students. The school is NAEYC accredited, whereas the majority of preschools are glorified day care. The director is intelligent, competent, and loves children. The center is well-managed, and any concerns are quickly addressed with level-headedness, openness, and logic. Another plus is that the program runs through the summer without interruption, a great option. They currently offer programs M-F with different times: 9 am- 11:30 (Half Day), 9 am-3 pm (Extended Day), 7:30am- 5:30pm (Full Day); this provides a lot of options for different family needs. I am extremely grateful that my child attended Lab School, and I only wish he could continue beyond pre-school. Go ahead and put your newborn on the waitlist because, as I understand, it fills up fast!

It's more than just a kindergarten; it's a nurturing community where kids thrive. I recommend this places to every family who cares for their child's future and loves great value!

It's been great for when I need to run errands, appointments, or even just get things done around the area. My kids actually enjoy going there, which says a lot. Despite being upfront about his needs, they still accepted him--but failed entirely to provide the support he requires. The front desk staff lacks professionalism and effective communication. The woman at the front desk uses poor grammar and doesn't seem to have any real understanding of how to handle sensitive situations with care. On a Saturday, while I was an hour away at work, I received a call regarding an incident with my son and was told I had to be there within 30 minutes--or I'd need to speak to the director about his future visits. That alone showed a complete lack of empathy or understanding for working parents, especially those raising children with special needs. When I arrived, it was clear that the director is not training or directing her staff appropriately. At both drop-off and pick-up, there wasn't a single staff member actively engaging or interacting with the kids. The two older staff members stood in the back with their hands behind their backs, looking visibly miserable. We moved here from Northern California, where we had much better experiences. I only brought my children here out of necessity, but it's clear this location is nothing more than a babysitting facility that makes sure your child is "alive and well"--but don't expect any developmental support, structure, or actual care. I do not appreciate how they treated my autistic son. He deserves patience, support, and care--not to be treated like a burden. Parents of children with special needs--please consider other options.

Then I did a tour with Mrs. Maria and Shazna where I explained my experience and they were so understanding and relieved all my worries by actually explaining their policies and how consistently every employee follows said policies, which was one of my biggest concerns. These women were professional and straight forward which I greatly appreciated. I like that enrollment includes weekly music lessons, annual performances, all kids bring their own labeled water cups, breakfast, lunch and snacks are included, and kids can bring lunch boxes from home if they want. They also have an app that, among other things, they use to disperse their weekly menus, send photos and videos weekly, communicate with parents, pay tuition, and disclose potty accidents as they occur. The application was 6 downloadable pdf forms and a 10 page parent handbook that plainly states their policies and only required signatures on the last 2 pages. They also offer optional dance, soccer, and young ninja programs that are sold seperatly and occur on the premises during regular hours, so no additional transportation is requirted and the kids are never distracted by their parents presence. It's been 4 months and I haven't had a single problem since. My son has made friends and become noticeably confident. He loves the optional Hip Hop dance classes and the Young Ninjas classes! My first child was a pandemic baby, she was severely shy and afraid to be away from us, within a couple of months at the nest, her true personality blossomed, she is now in TK and was chosen to be the speaker at her holiday performance, and can already read.
