Such a wonderful experience for our baby boy! He was enrolled from 13 months to 27 months and he adored Shila and the staff. From the music teachers to the petting zoo visitors, this was such an enriching experience for our son and we are so so so grateful to have found Shila's Day Care at exactly the right time for us. Up until the very last day, our son would run giggling toward her front door every morning and hardly even look back at us. At the end of the day he would come back to us smiling, having played hard, eaten well, and learned something new. He loved it. We loved it. And we were very sad to have to move on. 10 outta 10. High recommend. read more

We had our 2nd daughter start with Shila at 4 months old as well and they were the same trusting, compassionate and caring daycare. They have always felt like family and have prepared our daughters for success in their transition to school. The quality of care is unmatched and we are forever grateful we found Shila!! read more

We first met Shila while I was still pregnant, and from the moment she walked us through her space and her approach to childcare, it was obvious this is her calling. As first-time parents, choosing childcare felt impossible, but Shila made the whole process easy with how responsive and supportive she was from day one. We dropped our son off for the first time at 5 months old, and I wasn't ready to hand him over and go back to work. But from the second we picked him up that first day, we knew we had nothing to worry about. He's 2.5 now, and the growth we've seen in him during his time with Shila and her team has been incredible. He's soared through every milestone and then some. The children are treated like family every single day, and it shows: along with teaching, they lovingly make meals for the kids and bring in music teachers and animal specialists during the week. Our son never wants to leave at pickup, and he spends his weekends talking about Shila and her helpers. We would keep him there forever if we could. Any parent would be lucky to have Shila and her team raising their child alongside them. She's changed our lives and we can't recommend her enough. read more

Shila and her team are our family. We love them with all our hearts! I was 8 months pregnant when I found her daycare and the moment I met Shila, I knew this was where we were meant to be. My daughter has been attending her daycare since she was 7 months and she's now 2. I've watched my child blossom under her care. What really drew me was that Shila has a structured day. They come in the morning, they play, they have breakfast, they do circle time where each kid has to say the date, their name and how old they are. They have regular activities outside and those kids sure as heck love that backyard. Water play in the summer, bi-weekly music class and weekly animal visits are just some of the activities she plans. I've watched my daughter's love of animals just take off. Shila, Lily, Rosa, and team know your child intimately and raise them along with you to embrace their individual selves. I love also that my daughter is exposed to children of all different ages. The older kids are so sweet with her and she's learning how to be gentle and kind to the next generation below her. They are truly a tight little squad and when one moves on to preschool or TK, the loss is felt. The 5:1 teacher to kid ratio makes me feel good that all the kids are being watched, cared, and loved on at all times. Those kids are obsessed with every caretaker in Shila's employment and Shila herself. It is truly a blessing and a privilege to be in this group. I feel grateful everyday to drop my sweet girl off with people who love her as much as we do. She thrives, she's well fed, clean, and is so excited everyday to be dropped off. She never wants to leave. Very often you can find the kids playing duck duck goose at pick up (as if they don't spend all day together) and us parents are having to drag them away from each other so we can go home and make dinner. Do not hesitate - call immediately to see if she has a spot open. You will not regret it. We love you Shila!! Thank you!! read more

My daughter has been at Shila's since she was four months old. My daughter is so excited to arrive in the morning and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. Shila and the other staff care for all the children in such an attentive and caring way. They have biweekly music class and animal day and are always busy and active throughout the day. And eat great meals. I can't say enough amazing things about Shila's Daycare! read more

We have been going to Shila's for about a year now. We have had nothing but a wonderful experience. My daughter is about 2 1/2 and absolutely loves it. She has learned a tremendous amount and is always happy to go. I was definitely weary of trying an in home daycare, but Shila and the rest of the wonderful staff put me at ease immediately. I love that my daughter is ALWAYS happy and smiling when I pick her up. She is also clean, fed and has a clean diaper every day at pick up. My family and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Shila. read more

Where do I begin? Shila, the owner of the daycare, is the kindest woman, in the world. She's so sweet and calm. She loves her kids, so much, and it shows. There are tons of fun things they do, activity wise. Mondays it's called animalies day where there is a person who comes with an animal/ animals and the children learn about them. Also, once every two weeks, someone with a music instrument comes and the children listen to the instrument and also learn about it. They teach them alphabets, days, months, how to spell their names, to write and they read to them. Shila has many teachers working with her. There is never a time where they look like they don't have full control. You would think with multiple children, it would be difficult, but Shila and her crew has it under control at all times. They mean business. They are loving and kind but at the same time teach children boundaries. Lily, one of the teachers is very also very kind. My boys always talk about how nice she is. She is super friendly and always breeds me about how my boys are. And those days I feel sad that my boy has acted up, she always says, "they're just kids. They all go through it." She makes me feel better. As a parent, we all know we need that reassurance, sometimes. My three son's are attached to all of these beautiful humans. This daycare is a blessing. I must add... Shila always cooks! Real food. One place I went to was only serving children canned food from the dollar store. Thst hurt my heart. These babies need fresh fruits and Vegetables... not cheap canned food just to fill their tummies! This family daycare is the best thing that has happened to my boys and myself. P.s. this is what my boys made for thanksgiving, at Shila's daycare. Thank you Shila and staff! read more

I can't say enough about this amazing daycare. Shila is so kind and genuinely loves the kids. Lily is so warm and outgoing and everyone else is so sweet, my son runs to them every day. The house is in a really cute neighborhood with an amazing outdoor area and they work with companies each week to introduce the kids to new animals and musical instruments. Also all the meals are homemade kosher meals made by Shila. My son is always happy when I pick him up and is learning so much! We feel beyond lucky to have found them!! read more

Shila and her team are absolutely incredible! My daughter has been going full time for over a year. You can tell the ladies truly care about her which is the biggest thing you could ask for! My daughter is excited to see the ladies each day and runs up to the door. At pickup she always has a clean diaper and a cute hairdo (better than I can do!). Would recommend Shila and her team to anyone! read more

We are currently attending Shila's Daycare and our son adores it there. He has learned so much in a short period of time. His language skills have exploded. Shila also brings in outside activities like gymnastics, music, and a company that brings in different animals for the children to pet. I think my son loves this the most. read more

Shila is a wonderful lady along with her team including Lili, Jasmine, Rosa and Liel. Shila always has a smile on her face and loves all of her kids. She is multi-lingual as we'll and her care and love for the kids is obvious to me. She treats the kids like her own family which would make sense and her own grandkids are there daily as well. To top if all off she feeds the kids Kosher meals and so what else can you ask for. My kid always has a smile when arriving and seeing Shila and her team and that is the best complement every. read more

I came here when I was a child, and I'm so glad that Ms. Shila is still in business 18 years later. It seems as though quality never fades and that good things always last. I remember Ms. Shila even as a kid, I had the fondest memories of her caring attitude and soft-spoken nature. Everything at Ms. Shila's daycare was perfect, she had so many toys and her food was amazing, specially for the chubby little boy that I was. I like it so much there that I would actually cry upon going home every night. Ms. Shila will always be in my heart. -Jakeshabash read more

Amazing and trusted day care! I had to return back to work after 4 months of maternity leave and of course being a first time mom I was so worried about leaving Olivia with a stranger. I called many places, but once I called Shila's daycare and spoke to her on the phone, I felt instantly a good connection! I just knew this was where I wanted my child to be! I went and met with Shila in person and right away all my worries went away. She has great staff, great food she provides the children as they grow. She has music class and other activities for all the children. Such a great mix of little babies and children. Now Olivia is 14 months and when I come to pick her up after work, she doesn't want to leave. Which to me is the best sign! I know she is loved and in great hands! So to any new mommies & daddies out there that need trusted and amazing care for their child! Please call Shila! I promise you, you will not be disappointed! You will fall in love like my little family did! Thanks again Shila! You are the best! read more

I feel extremely lucky to have found Shila and her team. My baby had spent his first year with family who were doing work/school remotely but as they began to return back to the office/campus, I began searching for a daycare and as soon as I met Shila, I knew I wanted my baby to go there. Her and her team are very kind, responsive, and genuinely care about the children. As a first time mom, she has helped me in so many ways and has so much experience and great advice. Shila's is such a gem that when my family recently moved, it was to be closer to her. Both of our kids go there and they are thriving. Our oldest has been going for 3 years now and our youngest for 2. They are so happy there! Shila and her wonderful staff are attentive, caring, and patient. The mix of ages, gender, and backgrounds among the kids has been so wonderful for their social development and Shila even teaches them to read, write, do math, colors, etc. This isn't just a place to drop your kids off when you have to work. It's where you can send your kids to be cared for, educated, and enriched. She even makes home-made food every day and has year-round projects for all of the major holidays. We couldn't be happier with Shila's Daycare, nor could we recommend her more. read more

I moved to California with my 7 month old about a month ago. We were starting over completely and I was terrified to put her in daycare because she has never been away from me for more than a few hours since she's been born. I prayed and prayed for God to show me a good, loving, kind, caring daycare for my little one while I worked. I called several and visited a few but none of them sat right with me. I kept calling around for tours and finally narrowed it down to 2 and Shila's was one of the two. I visited both and prayed and prayed some more and God told me BOLDLY that Shila's was the one to choose. I have such a peace of mind with my baby being at this daycare. Shila and all the ladies who work there are so friendly, personable, and passionate about me & my daughter. They are so attentive to my baby and treat her like she is their own. The home is clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. Shila is so helpful in offering advice regarding my sweet baby girl and she provides food and animal time and gymnastics for the kids. I'm crying as I write this because I am SO THANKFUL that God led me to this beautiful beautiful sweet spirit Shila. If you choose her to care for your little ones you will be making the best choice. I love her so much. -Nzuri read more

Went against her contract and gave me a 1 day notice to find another daycare. On top of that, she locks the door to her daycare so that we as parents can't just do a surprise walk in, which strikes me rather odd. I wouldn't recommend this daycare. read more

My first son was always taken care of by family members. With my second son my aunt also took care of him but it started getting expensive since my husband and I are students. We decided on daycare which I was very hesitant about since you see so much stuff that happens at daycares and how they mistreat kids. I looked on yelp like crazy to find the best place and I remember calling Shila and she was so sweet over the phone. That's how she got me and I could already tell she was genuinely sweet. I was applying to CCRC so she saved me a spot and I am so grateful that she did. I am so happy I chose Shila! I know my son is in great hands. I drop him off and he's happy and when I pick him up he's happy. They're all great with the kids. My son attended daycare here with Shila and her warm and loving staff from 11 months of age to 16 months of age. He was always so happy at morning drop off and would run in excited to start his day. My son went to Miss Shila's daycare for a few years, and it is the best! She shows the children a lot of love, teaches them what they need to know, and cooks nutritious home cooked meals; she genuinely cares about the kids and their families. If I had questions or concerns, I could always count on her to thoroughly and patiently explain things to me and show me respect as a parent. It's been about 8 years since my son has been a part of her daycare, and we recently got the chance to visit over the summer. Miss Shila not only remembered our son, but she also remembered details about him that only someone who sincerely loves our son would remember. Also, the facility is impeccable. It is a very clean and well-kept environment. I can assure you that you will feel secure about leaving you baby or child at her daycare, and when the child grows past daycare age, it will be difficult to leave the facility. My first time meeting Shila was over the phone when I called to see if there was an opening. Right away I knew I wanted to send my 5mo old daughter there. She was so warm and welcoming. I put my LO on the waiting list and true to her word, I got a call as soon as a spot opened up! After searching high and low for the best daycare, enrolling my LO, and then taking her out of another, less than par daycare after a week, Shila called at the perfect time and it was meant to be! When i met her in person for the tour, I could tell she truly cares about the children and their wellbeing. She has a beautiful home, and her staff are so nice and friendly. She is very organized and honest so you know how your child is progressing. Infants and toddlers play and interact in one big room, but nap in separate rooms. All the cribs/high chairs/toys etc are kept clean and in good condition! I cried tears of joy the first day I left my baby with her. Knowing she is well looked after and safe while I transitioned back to work full time was such a relief! Shila even got her to take the bottle for her, and her staff...which takes a lot of trust for a baby. If you are looking for a place to send your child, look no further! Shila's Daycare is one big happy family :). My LO is almost 7mo now and she seems to be thriving. She even took home an Easter Basket which was the highlight of the wknd :). read more

Shila's daycare is the next best thing to me being able to stay home with my little ones. My first son went to Shila's daycare from 3 months to 8 years old and I currently have my 2.5 year old enrolled and he started at the age of 6 months. It is so difficult as a parent to leave our children in the hands of someone else, but with Shila's daycare it makes that difficult transition so much easier. Shila and her staff all have such warm beautiful souls and hearts, the daily homemade kosher food is delicious (I've asked for a few recipes to try at home), the daily routine runs flawlessly, and they even have a music class every Wednesday. As an educator I personally appreciate the curriculum. My son was accurately and consistently counting to ten by 2, reciting his alphabet with help, and going around saying "A for Apple."
