Shila and her team are our family. We love them with all our hearts! I was 8 months pregnant when I found her daycare and the moment I met Shila, I knew this was where we were meant to be. My daughter has been attending her daycare since she was 7 months and she's now 2. I've watched my child blossom under her care. What really drew me was that Shila has a structured day. They come in the morning, they play, they have breakfast, they do circle time where each kid has to say the date, their name and how old they are. They have regular activities outside and those kids sure as heck love that backyard. Water play in the summer, bi-weekly music class and weekly animal visits are just some of the activities she plans. I've watched my daughter's love of animals just take off. Shila, Lily, Rosa, and team know your child intimately and raise them along with you to embrace their individual selves. I love also that my daughter is exposed to children of all different ages. The older kids are so sweet with her and she's learning how to be gentle and kind to the next generation below her. They are truly a tight little squad and when one moves on to preschool or TK, the loss is felt. The 5:1 teacher to kid ratio makes me feel good that all the kids are being watched, cared, and loved on at all times. Those kids are obsessed with every caretaker in Shila's employment and Shila herself. It is truly a blessing and a privilege to be in this group. I feel grateful everyday to drop my sweet girl off with people who love her as much as we do. She thrives, she's well fed, clean, and is so excited everyday to be dropped off. She never wants to leave. Very often you can find the kids playing duck duck goose at pick up (as if they don't spend all day together) and us parents are having to drag them away from each other so we can go home and make dinner. Where do I begin? Shila, the owner of the daycare, is the kindest woman, in the world. She's so sweet and calm. She loves her kids, so much, and it shows. There are tons of fun things they do, activity wise. Mondays it's called animalies day where there is a person who comes with an animal/ animals and the children learn about them. Also, once every two weeks, someone with a music instrument comes and the children listen to the instrument and also learn about it. They teach them alphabets, days, months, how to spell their names, to write and they read to them. Shila has many teachers working with her. There is never a time where they look like they don't have full control. You would think with multiple children, it would be difficult, but Shila and her crew has it under control at all times. They mean business. They are loving and kind but at the same time teach children boundaries. Lily, one of the teachers is very also very kind. My boys always talk about how nice she is. She is super friendly and always breeds me about how my boys are. And those days I feel sad that my boy has acted up, she always says, "they're just kids. They all go through it." She makes me feel better. As a parent, we all know we need that reassurance, sometimes. My three son's are attached to all of these beautiful humans. This daycare is a blessing. I must add... Shila always cooks! Real food. One place I went to was only serving children canned food from the dollar store. Thst hurt my heart. These babies need fresh fruits and Vegetables... not cheap canned food just to fill their tummies! This family daycare is the best thing that has happened to my boys and myself. I can't say enough about this amazing daycare. Shila is so kind and genuinely loves the kids. Lily is so warm and outgoing and everyone else is so sweet, my son runs to them every day. The house is in a really cute neighborhood with an amazing outdoor area and they work with companies each week to introduce the kids to new animals and musical instruments. Also all the meals are homemade kosher meals made by Shila. My son is always happy when I pick him up and is learning so much! We feel beyond lucky to have found them!! read more

I came here when I was a child, and I'm so glad that Ms. Shila is still in business 18 years later. It seems as though quality never fades and that good things always last. Amazing and trusted day care! I had to return back to work after 4 months of maternity leave and of course being a first time mom I was so worried about leaving Olivia with a stranger. I called many places, but once I called Shila's daycare and spoke to her on the phone, I felt instantly a good connection! I just knew this was where I wanted my child to be! Shila's is such a gem that when my family recently moved, it was to be closer to her. Both of our kids go there and they are thriving. Our oldest has been going for 3 years now and our youngest for 2. They are so happy there! Shila and her wonderful staff are attentive, caring, and patient. The mix of ages, gender, and backgrounds among the kids has been so wonderful for their social development and Shila even teaches them to read, write, do math, colors, etc. This isn't just a place to drop your kids off when you have to work. It's where you can send your kids to be cared for, educated, and enriched. She even makes home-made food every day and has year-round projects for all of the major holidays. My daughter is almost a year old and we started going to Shila's since my daughter was 5 months old. I moved to California with my 7 month old about a month ago. We were starting over completely and I was terrified to put her in daycare because she has never been away from me for more than a few hours since she's been born. I prayed and prayed for God to show me a good, loving, kind, caring daycare for my little one while I worked. I called several and visited a few but none of them sat right with me. I kept calling around for tours and finally narrowed it down to 2 and Shila's was one of the two. I visited both and prayed and prayed some more and God told me BOLDLY that Shila's was the one to choose. I have such a peace of mind with my baby being at this daycare. Shila and all the ladies who work there are so friendly, personable, and passionate about me & my daughter. They are so attentive to my baby and treat her like she is their own. The home is clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. Shila is so helpful in offering advice regarding my sweet baby girl and she provides food and animal time and gymnastics for the kids. Went against her contract and gave me a 1 day notice to find another daycare. On top of that, she locks the door to her daycare so that we as parents can't just do a surprise walk in, which strikes me rather odd. I wouldn't recommend this daycare. read more

My first son was always taken care of by family members. With my second son my aunt also took care of him but it started getting expensive since my husband and I are students. We decided on daycare which I was very hesitant about since you see so much stuff that happens at daycares and how they mistreat kids. I looked on yelp like crazy to find the best place and I remember calling Shila and she was so sweet over the phone. That's how she got me and I could already tell she was genuinely sweet. I was applying to CCRC so she saved me a spot and I am so grateful that she did. I am so happy I chose Shila! I know my son is in great hands. My son attended daycare here with Shila and her warm and loving staff from 11 months of age to 16 months of age. He was always so happy at morning drop off and would run in excited to start his day. My first time meeting Shila was over the phone when I called to see if there was an opening. Right away I knew I wanted to send my 5mo old daughter there. She was so warm and welcoming. I put my LO on the waiting list and true to her word, I got a call as soon as a spot opened up! After searching high and low for the best daycare, enrolling my LO, and then taking her out of another, less than par daycare after a week, Shila called at the perfect time and it was meant to be! When i met her in person for the tour, I could tell she truly cares about the children and their wellbeing. She has a beautiful home, and her staff are so nice and friendly. She is very organized and honest so you know how your child is progressing. Infants and toddlers play and interact in one big room, but nap in separate rooms. All the cribs/high chairs/toys etc are kept clean and in good condition! I cried tears of joy the first day I left my baby with her. Knowing she is well looked after and safe while I transitioned back to work full time was such a relief! Shila even got her to take the bottle for her, and her staff...which takes a lot of trust for a baby. If you are looking for a place to send your child, look no further! Shila's daycare is the next best thing to me being able to stay home with my little ones. My first son went to Shila's daycare from 3 months to 8 years old and I currently have my 2.5 year old enrolled and he started at the age of 6 months. It is so difficult as a parent to leave our children in the hands of someone else, but with Shila's daycare it makes that difficult transition so much easier. Shila and her staff all have such warm beautiful souls and hearts, the daily homemade kosher food is delicious (I've asked for a few recipes to try at home), the daily routine runs flawlessly, and they even have a music class every Wednesday. As an educator I personally appreciate the curriculum. My son was accurately and consistently counting to ten by 2, reciting his alphabet with help, and going around saying "A for Apple."
