We paid our deposit and remaining balance on time. 8 days before our stay we get a message that there was a computer glitch and they were canceling our reservations. My brother and his family had already purchased plane tickets and rented a car. This was a celebration for my mom's 70th birthday and I had already bought and paid for a $170 birthday cake from a local bakery. I begged them to please keep my reservations but they did NOT! Even though I had booked this 5 moths in advance they did not care. July 4th is the busiest weekend of the year in Washington State and to find another property for 16 people is almost impossible. This has been a very stressful situation that has left our family in tears.

The changing of the autumn colors made the perfect setting for the Lodge. The lodge itself is wonderful and has everything that you will need for a great family gathering! The rooms were all spacious and very comfortable. Something for everyone to do, whether you just want to snuggle in and read a book or hike around Lake Wenatchee. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook fantastic meals. Just a 20-minute drive into Leavenworth where you'll find a quaint Bavarian village. Margaret, the owner, was a joy to deal with. Totally gross. But the worst had yet to come. The towels literally smelled like mildew. My poor son, 6 1/2 and already exhausted because we'd driven for 7 plus hours and then all food options were eliminated by the late arrival, with only a microwave meal I figured a nice warm shower would help him relax before bed. Well he sadly looked at me and said "mama this towel smells really bad." And WOW it did. Then I was the lucky recipient of the next stinky towel. It was so bad I didn't even wipe myself off. I used the ONE washcloth that didn't stink to dry myself off. When we went to use the coffee machine the filter was dirty and the machine full of coffee grounds. It took me 3 cycles of 6 cups of water to get water to come through clean. How it was not simple enough to clean a coffee machine is beyond me. Our initial arrival we were greeted to a tower of trash and Rubbermaid bins WTF? When we called to ask about it they said they'd take care of it right away. At 12:30 am when we went to bed, it was all stillthere Day 2 we bought detergent to wash them because no one wants a knarly towel to dry off from the shower with. After washing them they're like new. But what a huge pain!!! For cleanliness they get a 2.5/5 from me. A bathroom is the second place you want REALLY clean aside from your bed. And then the kitchen. The beds were fine (a bit old and "springy") but I could have slept on the floor I was so tired. The bathroom should definitely have been mopped and properly cleaned. And I wouldn't have left a dirty coffee machine either. However, the ability to cook your own food 5/5 especially since it's slim pickings and terrifically long lines here for most places. The sledding hills at the property 5/5 because it's fluffy and clean snow. And great sledding. Assigned parking per unit 5/5 because it's easier to have "your" space than have to figure it out or fight for parking. Proximity to "downtown" is 2/5 if you've got kids OR if it's this much snow. It wouldn't be easy or safe to walk with kids with the amount of ice there is out and loads of snow. All in all, I give it a 3 since the value is there. Next time I know to bring cleaning products to make sure it's up to snuff.

It's a very intimate property, where some units are privately owned. Check in went smoothly. The concierge was very sweet and polite. I kindly told them we did not want to attend a sales presentation, nor did we want to be called. They were professional and accepted our no. They never bothered us after that, and we really appreciated that. We really like having a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit to ourselves-- even though we're just a retired couple. This sure beats sitting in a hotel room. It's very relaxing. Note to self: pay attention to whether or not they have elevators. They don't. I found out too late, and there were no lower units available. 19 stairs to climb, and it was tough on my bionic knee and arthritic hip. I dreaded the coming and going, because of that. My fault. Next time, I'll mention my disability. The unit was pretty clean, save for a couple of minor hiccup....such as the recycle bin not being emptied. As for the unit, we had a lovely view of the mountains and trees. We overlooked a park, and my husband enjoyed watching young kids playing baseball. It's about a 10 minute walk to downtown Leavenworth-- which is a cute little town that tries to mimic Bavaria. My continued complain is the ResortNet internet. It's a royal pain to share 2 devices and I'd get that dreaded "you have exceeded your device allotment". Arrrgh, even though I haven't. Calling ResortNet is futile.

First, we booked the cabin through Capital One and did not receive any check-in information over text like they usually do. We only learned this once we were AT the cabins. We had to make multiple phone calls while standing outside the cabins in the snow at night. Not ideal. Plus, it took 3 tries to get a code that actually worked to open the front door. Not a great start. Once inside, we noticed multiple Cheerios on the floor and dust on surfaces. The housekeeping was concerning. Wifi was slow, and we had to fuss with the TV to get streaming services to be usable. Not to mention, an additional DAILY fee for things like the Rumpl blanket and cooler that are already in the room, and we didn't ask for? Odd. Anyway, you pay more for less when you stay at LOGE. The river views were great but the actual accommodations are lackluster and left more to be desired. I recommend staying somewhere closer in town and saving yourself the 20min walk each way.

The atmosphere was welcoming, cozy, and perfectly fit the mountain-town vibe--it immediately felt like a place you want to relax and stay awhile. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the people. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, especially Karen and Juan, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their warmth and kindness made such a difference and really elevated our stay. Even more impressive, the manager personally greeted us as we walked in, asked how we were doing, and made us feel truly valued as guests. That level of care is rare and says a lot about how well this place is run. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of. This is hospitality done right. Makes it easy to reheat any leftovers that we brought. The room was spacious and also had a small table and chairs to eat. The TV was a small but it did its job. Staff is easy to access via text which for me works great. They were able to answer all of my questions and concerns. Would stay here again.

Path to back side rooms is uneven sloping toward the river and moves like it might break soon 3. There is exposed insulation shoved around air conditioner units and bent covers on other A/C units 4. Stairs to the back side rooms are crumbling , including the railing 5. Air vents are filthy It was super disappointing to see the state of this place and be forced to either lose two nights of money or stay here. We would not stay here ever again. Also, did not dare use the pool after seeing the lack of care for upkeep of this place.

From the outside, it definitely looks more like a motel than a hotel, but the inside really wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We paid about $180 total for a river-facing room, and the view was honestly beautiful. Unfortunately, we encountered a lot of wildfire smoke during our stay, so we weren't able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, but obviously that had nothing to do with the hotel. The room and bathroom were both clean, which was my biggest concern after reading the reviews. Everything is definitely a little outdated, and there was a bit of that "old-building" smell when we first walked in, but it wasn't so bad that it felt suppressive or overwhelming, and I'm really sensitive to smells so I genuinely mean that lol. For one night, I didn't need anything fancy. I was also pleasantly surprised by the hot water, it stayed hot long enough for 2 showers. My only real complaint about the room was that there were a few tiny stains on the linens. Nothing that made me feel like the room was dirty overall, but also not something you really want to see on your bed. I also felt that the railing on the deck was really weak, so if you have children I'd definitely be a little careful there. It felt like most of the guests seemed to be families, which did make me feel pretty safe and comfortable staying here. I also liked being able to park right outside my room so I could have easy access to my car. One other thing worth mentioning is that the ice machine was loud. Our room was right next to it, so it was hard to ignore, although obviously that's more of a room-location issue. I was super thankful that they offered a continental breakfast in the morning. It wasn't anything fancy, but having something to grab before heading out was definitely appreciated. Do I think I'd stay here again? Meh, probably not. I'll most likely spring for the Hampton Inn which isn't too far. But overall I definitely don't think this place was as bad as some of the horror story reviews make it out to be.

I appreciate the self check in, the breakfast was absolutely delightful, and it's a gorgeous location. There was a slight issue with the water but once the owner was made aware he had it fixed in probably under an hour. All in all great service. The only subpar thing about my time there was it snowed really heavily in the area before and while we were there and the plowed pile of snow blocked the view on the road when you tried to pull out of the parking lot so we had a hard time seeing the cars coming 40+ miles toward us. Though, I don't think that was the fault of the ranch, just something to keep in mind in the winter months.

Pat was great with quick communication when we asked for a late check out day of. Breakfast was delivered to our door and was absolutely wonderful. It was a great place to step away from our day to day and also to have peace after spending all day on our feet in Leavenworth. The two person jacuzzi tub was worth the cost alone for relaxation. Absolutely would stay again!
