I wanted to experience the scalp treatment with facial and a body massage. It was amazing and not expensive! The technique used was intuitive, she zeroed in on my trigger points, and she was relentless! The hot stones eased my tired muscles. The feeling of water on my head was so relaxing and the perfect temperature. My favorite part was having warm water spray on the back of my neck and shoulders while she massaged them - truly an exquisite experience! I am looking forward to my yearly trip and adding this spa as a regular stop! The ambience is very unassuming and humble, the service was professional and unique. Came on a Saturday mid day, warm welcome, they took our coats and guided us downstairs to the spa area. You walk in to a full service hair salon. The downstairs is focused on the spa only. They have resting areas, play relaxing music, and the entire staff was pleasant to interact with. Only minus was you could still hear the music and talking from upstairs when you walked by the staircase. I got the chocolate covered strawberry facial with Jayde. She was great, she answered my questions during the experience. During the mask portion, she offered a scalp massage or hand and arm massage. I went with the hand and arm massage which she did excellent with. This calming, cleansing, uplifting facial was followed by my full body massage with Lea. Lea is a gem! She wished me happy birthday a few times and gave me so much good knowledge about my body, my high tension areas and tips on how to relax them at the end of a day. Each service was about 1 hour. Total for two people facial/massage and tax/tip came to $486. I definitely plan on returning for self-care.

At the time, I was told they would call me to confirm once everything was finalized, which seemed completely reasonable. Two weeks passed without any communication, so I called to follow up. I was told they were still waiting for a second massage therapist to confirm and that someone would call me back. Another week went by, and again, I heard nothing. Four days before our scheduled appointment, I called once more. I was told they had supposedly tried to contact me the previous week, but I never received a call, voicemail, or message. During that conversation, I was informed that the second massage therapist had injured her shoulder and could no longer work on the second table in the couples massage room, meaning my boyfriend and I would need to be placed in separate rooms. Of course, I was sorry to hear about the therapist's injury, but the entire reason I booked was for a couples massage experience. I also wasn't comfortable with the idea of an injured therapist potentially pushing herself further. I was then told they would "work something out." What that ultimately meant was that the therapist would only be able to accommodate one of the two couples massages scheduled that day and would have to choose between our appointment and another booked later. After a month of poor communication, repeated follow-ups on my part, and last-minute changes to the service I had specifically planned for our anniversary, I decided to cancel the appointment myself. With only four days' notice, there was little chance of finding another couples massage elsewhere. While I understand that unexpected situations happen, the lack of proactive communication and the way this was handled was extremely disappointing. A special anniversary experience that I had planned a month in advance ended up being ruined due to poor planning and customer service. Maia needs to do better. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business.
