Being a fan of Asian body work, the next day I decided to check it out. I was welcomed at the door by Vicky who led me back to one of the massage rooms. I was impressed by the freshness of the décor and overall cleanliness of the place. I decide to go for one hour, but within the first 15 minutes I was in such bliss that I asked to extend to 90 minutes. Vicky was extremely sensitive to the trouble spots in my body. Se was gentle where needed and used firmer pressure when needed, always asking me for feedback on my comfort level. For the rest of the massage I pretty much forgot where I was and hated to come back to earth at the end. normally I get a massage every two weeks or so, but a couple of days later I was in the neighborhood with some extra time on my hands and decided to stop in again. This time I was greeted by Lili. Once again, what started as a one hour massage was extended to 90 minutes, and once again I was in heaven. Lili also was very sensitive to my body's needs. I suffer form chronic pain due to osteo-arthritis, and I find massage therapy very healing when done correctly. Both Vicky and Lili are obviously extremely experienced and highly professional and both have a fabulous massage technique. Prices are extremely reasonable at $50 per hour. As is the custom with Most Asian spas, a tip of $15 to $20 per hour is expected, but when you compare these prices to many western-style massage studios that charge $90 to $120 an hour - plus gratuities - you cant beat it. My masseuse was a tall man who was courteous and gave me a nice, gentle massage. Towards the end of the massage he had me flip over and provided a minute of massage to my head, face and calves. They let you take them home and if you do not want them they throw them out. This explains the $30 mani pedi. Ok by me because what kind of deal is it if it comes with fungus. I will pay extra for immaculate and sterile all day. The massage on my legs was excellent, she was very detailed about the entire process. At the end she actually put a paraffin dip on my heels (its a melted wax that shapes to the foot hot and softens as it cools) Apparently that is standard for any pedicure in this place. Now THAT was enough to make it worth it for me to drive that far again. I didn't plan on it but Now I have too. I really wanted to hate you Yumi's....but I just cant, your too damned good and now I will have to drive 23.2 minutes for this. They offer additional spa services in here as well. They all speak fluent clear english so if thats your native tongue there will be little confusion and lots of pleasant chit chat if you like because they are very nice but extremely professional.
