My sister and her husband have been coming here to get their meats for a long time! They don't throw a BBQ without stopping by here first. They get the chicken wings, beef, and ground beef that my sister makes into yummie hamburger patties. Everything here is really well-favor. My sister just brought me here to pick up some meats and Jack was very patient and helpful while I was trying to figure out what to buy. I got 2lbs of ground beef that we roll up and made into sliders and my brother and my bf ate up and really enjoy it. They finished everything. My brother love it so much he will be back to pick up some more soon. Overall, meats is really good and service is great. Come try it out for your next BBQ or meal. read more

My mother and I came in looking for some "beef ribs" not short beef ribs but "beef ribs". A huge slab. Anyway, this guy helps us right away and is super informative and helps us in seconds. We ended up leaving with 6 lbs of "short beef ribs" but huge cuts. So basically what we wanted. We didn't know how much to purchase and he gave us a rough estimate when we told him how many people would be eating. He was right on the dot with exactly how much we needed. Meat is always fresh. Marination on point ! Love how the meat isn't marinated with a lot of salt, so people that are not salty eaters can actually enjoy the meat. You can just add it to your tastings. It's our go to spot for all out Armenian bbq needs. From veal to lamb to ground luleh. Stop by Saturday afternoon to grab 1 filet and ribeye. The man working the counter recommend for us to let him marinade the steak and I'm so glad we did. They were delicious; better than I've had at any fancy steakhouse. Very good quality meat and the store is very clean. Highly recommend! read more

I am not sure why this shop has 41/2 stars. As soon as I entered this shop, I got welcomed with a frown and rudeness. I could immediately feel that which made me uncomfortable and rather sad. Besides that, the service itself is super inconvenient. They do not cut and clean chicken, they do not allow self-service, I have to wait for someone else to open the fridge, they do not have hand cut beef and so on. So far, I have had a great meat shop experience in other cities. This particular experience disappointed me a lot. I don't think I will ever come here again or recommend this shop to anyone. A small advise to you guys, learn to be humble and kind first then come into customer service business. read more

Great meats, Great Service. Parking is in the back - kind of hard to see when the sun is in your eyes, but know it is the driveway right after u see the store on your right if you are coming from DTLA. We got the ground beef kabob and the chicken thigh kabob - both very well flavored and easy to cook! All under $15.00. Great pricing. One of the best meat selections I have seen (also basing it on quality). Will def come back. read more

Heard about this place from my co worker. Amazing quality of meat! I got the beef/lamb and chicken lule, so much flavor, nothing extra needed. My whole family enjoyed it for our bbq there's was nothing left. Even the kids loved it. I also got all the side fixings - cilantro hummus, jagugeh, garlic yogurt, tabouleh and beet salad all so good! read more

I come here for the halal options they have . I would only recommend buying whatever is in the freezer and pre sealed as for HALAL . Why I wouldn't buy any of the halal chicken , goat or meat in the display is for the reason that they also sell pork. And I don't care how much you claim the be cleanest , anything and everything from knife to cutting board can get contaminated . Unless the owner was Muslim or didn't sell pork , any halal buyer wouldn't be fine with anything in the store . Good stuff tho read more

Upon walking in I was greeted by a grumpy individual. When I asked what was halal he barked at me "read the signs" I didn't think the quality of meat was good anyways. My favorite place to pick fresh top of the line meat. They have a nice selection and the customer service is fantastic. They have the best lamb chops. You can choose from the marinated or regular lamb chops. I also like their cuts of beef short ribs. Prices are pretty decent. I got 2 1/2 lbs of lamb chops for just under $30 and 2 lbs of beef short ribs for around the same price. The short ribs had plenty of meat with their cuts. Come here for good quality and great selection of meat. read more

5-star quality meat, 5-star service - hands down best place to buy meat in Glendale. I buy all of my beef cuts from Sevan Meat Market and I'm always satisfied with the high quality. They have a super clean meat shop, with a fantastic selection of all nice cut meats. The staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. My family is very picky about what meat we will eat and I can tell you theirs is the best. The meat is top quality, fresh, clean and trimmed and free of any unwanted fat, grizzle or tissues. This is a good looking meat market. I was disappointed that they didn't have any porterhouse our New York strip cuts. That could just be a cultural store reason. I was a little annoyed at the pushy guy behind the counter trying to sell me a $40 tomahawk steak instead of giving me the ribeye steaks at $9.99/lb, as I requested. Tomahawk is just a ribeye with a pricey bone. read more

This is a fantastic butcher - quality meat, selection, and pricing. What really makes it 5 stars is how nice our butcher was. I saw the lule and couldn't resist - except I had no idea how to cook lule. He happily showed me the correct skewers to get, and all the little tricks to get it perfect. I love this place. They have very delicious different kinds of barbicue meat. I love their beef (flap meat) barbecue. It is so good that melts in your mouth. I also like their costumer service. Management just added oil to the fire and reduced my rating from 3 to 1 star. To my comment they wrote "...and do not have any "previously frozen" products, whatever it means. .." Well, it must be our fault then ;-) We asked for corn poulard and beef ribs - and in both cases, the rather uncharming guy at the counter pointed to the freezer in the picture. If they insist they do not sell previously frozen food - what's the massive freezer in the picture for then? Anyway, I have enough. We sure will not go again. read more

I left this butcher shop feeling pretty disappointed…read more Before I checked out, I watched two customers ahead of me (both Caucasian women) being offered pastries by the person at the register. The first was offered free pastries "on the house," and the second was offered a free baguette. I purchased my steak and wasn't offered anything haha. I can't say for sure if race had anything to do with it but as an Asian customer witnessing two customers who were given complimentary items while I didn't, and not sure if unconscious bias was taking place here. Maybe they were loyal frequent customers, I don't know. Maybe it was l innocent, but unfortunately, the experience left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. It's not really about getting a free pastry or baguette but about this unwelcoming behavior. I should probably mention that it was 2 different employees offering complimentary items to the 2 customers.

It is extremely clean and does not smell like a typical meat counter. The selection of smoked and cured meats as well as sausages is impressive. I used to go to Alpine Village before it closed, and this shop provides similar German style products. The service is great. They answer your questions and provide great recommendations. My favorite hands down is the butter cheese which is packed in the refrigerated case, sliced and ready to go. That cheese with pumpernickel bread (which they also offer) is so comforting. There are multiple types of salami, with the German style being my favorite. I really enjoyed the imported caraway crackers which was a lighter alternative to the more solid breads. It's the type of place where you will always find delicious specialty snacks with each visit.
