I love love SEV! I haven't lasered since last year where I went to a local Med spa. When I heard about SEV coming to Fishtown, I had to try them. Being a bit skeptical about safety protocols, I visited their website where they shared the precautions they have taken. Upon arrival, the office was gorgeous!!! The front desk staff was so friendly and all precautions had been taken, making me feel super safe. I was taken in on time and did not feel a thing! Their laser was incredibly fast and had cold air blowing throughout my entire treatment making the session tolerable. I did feel zaps but nothing painful. I purchased a package since their prices are so affordable. I was also able to book my appointments out. Only con is that they don't have private parking but if you are familiar with the area, there are a ton of street parking. I was also told there is a public parking lot a block up. Setting that aside, they do a fine job on laser hair removal at a very reasonable price. The lasers they use are suitable for brown humans. The scheduling is really easy and you can fill out all of the paperwork (it's a lot for the first visit) online. The staff is always friendly and they actually call you in for your service right at your time. The rooms are spacious enough and everything seems nice and clean and sanitized. Note that you can't really request a certain technician here, you just get who you get. If you're coming for the first time, definitely get a Groupon. If they happen to not have a live offer running, just call them and ask them to give you the Groupon price. For returning customers, you can always buy packages of 6 at a discounted rate. Also note that this location DOES NOT do injectables like some of the others. So Philly Jesus thinks that your crows feet and nasolabial folds are just fine. This was my last appointment, and I was not satisfied. I scheduled this appointment over six weeks ago and requested a specific technician. Upon arriving today, I was assigned to a trainee being supervised. The session was painful, and I believe trainees should practice on each other or clients should be informed ahead of time. When I explained to the front desk that I had requested the same technician, I was initially assured she would be available. Today, however, I was told that we cannot choose our technician but can only mark a preference, which isn't guaranteed. Furthermore, I was informed that to request a specific technician, I had to email the district manager. This crucial information should have been communicated when I made my request. Your front desk staff needs to be aligned, and clients should not be subjected to trainees for laser appointments. The entire experience, from start to finish, was unacceptable. I had to update my review today and drop it another star. Customer service and integrity is every to me when dealing with a business. Before my last appointment I have referred 4 family members to SEV three in Philly and one in Alexandria, VA the family members in Philly went recently to their appointment to SEV and requester the same technician for their next appointment and was not told they had to email the district manager to make that request in fact my mother in law requested the same tech her last appointment and future one and none of what was conveyed to me was conveyed to her. You guys meed to get it together because ultimately someone isn't being honest or just lazy. I would recommend this place but based on customer service and integrity its a NO! read more

I went on a Thursday morning and everything was seamless. I was greeted with great customer service and my experience was quick.

I had 2 appointments with SEV. The first was a consultation. Don't waste your time with this. They explained nothing to me (that I didn't already read before the apt). I was hoping they would do a test patch to see if my skin reacted and they didn't despite me asking. I spent more time looking for parking (15 min) and more time in the waiting room (20 min) than the actual consultation (5 minutes). The staff who did the consultation was so quick and dismissive. So yeah don't waste your time with this. I felt slightly disrespected by this experience. Then they had the nerve to ask for a tip for the consultation... like what? I know it's automated when you check out but wth. Second apt - no issues with the actual hair removal. My tech was nice and quick. I haven't gone again but I would consider it. I just don't feel like the lasers are that strong. No issues with brown skin though. read more

I attempted to return with hopes of better service today 8/12/2025 and both girls working as receptionist are horrible, customer service is really unacceptable. One of the receptionist was rude to me and on every visit both receptionist are rude. They never greet and shocking one was being ill-mannered and condescending after I called to advise Sev I was running behind after getting caught in traffic. The customer relations manager Ariel called and was very polite as I stressed my concerns. I doubt if Sev has what it takes to train the front desk to deliver quality customer service. I wasn't greeted when I arrived or asked how was my service but they had time to be rude after delaying my appointment after making a call. I really like SEV. I had another laser spot I was going to that I loved but when I found one of the technicians switched over to SEV, I checked it out. First off let me say that the machines feel so much better. The cooling technology is amazing. You barley feel the laser, everyone's just as nice there- very friendly, the price is UNMATCHED! I've been doing laser hair removal sessions on my armpits with Madison at the Philadelphia location and she is amazing!!! She has answered every single one of my questions (when can i shower, when can i shave, etc) quickly and efficiently. I've never had laser hair removal before until SEV and i can't recommend it enough. I'm usually a baby when it comes to pain and it wasn't painful at all. I went to my second session today and Madison was able to recommend exfoliating scrubs for aftercare. Can't wait to come back in a month. Terrible experience! First off I have been getting laser hair removal since I was 16 therefore, I know exactly what to expect. Not only did I get taken a half an hour late for my appointment but the aesthetician refused me of both my services stating that the lotion that I had applied two days ago was still on my body after she vigorously scratched my arm with an alcohol pad. Waste of my time, hopefully when I go back I'll actually receive the treatment that I paid a great sum of money for. At least the front desk girl was nice. read more

I've been going to Sev fishtown to get my underarms done and I've had Madison all 3 times. She's superrrrrrr sweet and makes you feel very comfortable. She was also able to answer all of my questions regarding some medical issues I was concerned with while getting laser. If you go definitely request her!! What a horrible waste of my time. The first time I visited SEV I was told I couldn't receive treatment because I had spray tan on my stomach, mind you I was getting a Brazilian laser treatment. I decided to let it go since it was my first time there. I just want to add I've already have had 6 laser Brazilian treatments at a different place prior to this. I rescheduled my appointment and scrubbed all the self tanner off my stomach. My next visit I was so happy to be back to finally get laser. The aesthetician outlined my area and then said "let me check for spray tan" after I told her I hadn't sprayed myself for weeks. She went out of her way to scrub my leg (not my stomach this time). When I mean to tell you I haven't spray tanned my legs in months I would take a lie detector test to prove it. A small green smudge was on the pad and she refused to laser me. If you want to be lasered at SEV make sure you have NEVER spray tanned yourself during your entire time of being alive. I have been lasered many times with spray tan on me. Your rules are ridiculous, and do everyone the favor and save them the time of filling out the 25 forms you make mandatory if you're not going to even laser them anyway. I will never come back again! read more
