Step back to the 1880's in this charming and fun restaurant in Deloraine. When we arrived a cozy wood fire was heating the dining room. Antique newspapers, saws and old tools decorate the walls.
I was impressed with the variety of vegetarian main dishes including a spaghetti Bolognese made with vegetarian 'meat' and fresh vegetables, a lasagna, a broccoli brie flan with pine nuts, a leek tart, a quiche and a sweet potato curry. Wine came in reproduction 1880s ceramics cups and the manager was relaxed and charming. Lots of meat dinner choices as well including lamb, prawns, pasta, sausages, chicken schnitzel steak, and lots more. Very enjoyable, and the desserts looked good although I was too full to try them. read more
