I've been meaning to come to Set the Bar for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally got here! I brought my toddler along so we could watch the Supernovas game, and it's been a great experience! Our server is so personable and kind, and is so sweet to my daughter. They even got a cup of ice for my daughter when I asked, because toddlers want what they want lol, and they didn't even flinch. We ordered a kids Mac and cheese, a smash burger and a side of fries with side out sauce. Everything was delicious! I'm so glad a sports bar that caters to women's sports exists in Omaha, and it makes it even better that it's family friendly. Everyone watches women's sports!

Such a fun place! We loved that it was upstairs (and totally has an elevator too) and a sweet outdoor patio. The bar and seating area is beautiful and full of color and plants. Of course, they play tons of women's sports and lots of Nebraska games. The patio was pretty and had a great view of the Benson area. They have a good selection of food and drink. My mimosa was tasty and my Moscow mule was perfect. I love how many gluten friendly options they had. My smashburger was awesome and the GF bun was worth it, even with an additional charge. The bun stayed crispy and didn't get soggy or fall apart. The house sauce made the burger 10/10. The servers were nice and always came around to grab us new drinks

First time back at Set after I stopped drinking as often and becoming a pescatarian. I am happy to report that what they have as fish options or non meat ones are SUPER YUMMY! I really enjoyed the cauliflower wings, very crispy and the BBQ sauce was super yummy! The Crescent 9 THC seltzer, sour watermelon, was GREAT! I liked it a lot, it wasn't too THC taste heavy and the watermelon flavor was very forward and nice. The truffle fries are a seasonal treat and were very tasty! Not as large of a portion as the regular fries but definitely worth it! The sauce that came with complemented them well!!

I love this place! It was my first visit here to watch the Supernovas game. It's definitely the perfect place to watch sports w friends. The vibes were amazing and the staff were all amazing. Everything was amazing My friend and I both got the Girl Dinner special which came with a Ceaser salad, fries, and wine/beer of your choice. The Ceaser salad was very good. Only complaint was that my friend paid extra to add chicken and it didn't come with very much. Fries were also good - I upgraded to the truffle fries! We both went with the Bunny Slope mocktail after a suggestion from our waitress - SO good and refreshing!!

I love, love, love the idea of a sports bar that focuses on promoting women's sports! I've only ever sat at the bar here, but the vibe has always been fun and i'm happy to see that they have been busy. Drinks and food are pretty good. Not a huge selection of beers like you might imagine in a typical sports bar but slightly more curated. The one thing I wish was a little different was that it was a space made more for mingling rather than sit down dining, but that's the deal just so you're aware if you haven't been before. Looking forward to going to more events and game watches in the future!

When foodies mingle off The Facebook, we grab the husbands and head to Benson for some eats and drinks! Parking is a bit of a bitch, so plan accordingly, BUT.. a definite must to try, to take in alllll their atmosphere, and enjoy great company. Started off the evening with their Banh Mi Fries, with a great mix of heat and salt. Excellent pulled pork, and that spicy mayo... PLENTY to share amongst friends for sure. We also snagged their Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which... letsbehonest.. served in a hot dish, with a side of chips, chunk-less artichoke and the right amount of spinach ratio. Texture can be kind of everything when it comes to dips and it didn't disappoint. 16 Garlic Teriyaki wings? YES PLEASE! A little on the salty side but good none the less! Perfect amount to also, share amongst friends. I think a little side of dipping sauce would've been a great addition. Desserts? YEP! That Rough and Tumble Smores (whip is GF by the way!) was BOMBBBB. Something about toasted, crunchy-in-all-the-right-way marshmallows, all ooey-and-gooey just casually over their warm brownie.. ... we also snagged their Cheesecake off of their Fall Foods. It had a.. different... texture, and I wasn't 100% sure where to place it, but it's not the traditional cheesecake texture. It's a bit grainy, airy and the apple compote knocked it up a few notches. Cute little shape that added to the elevation of the experience. LOVED their seating options. Great half circle booths for early 4-6, tables and high-tops. Excellent outdoor space that faces north, with SNOW DOMES to come (or so we've been told!)! *also, above is just my opinion... the other foodies may have different ones*

Great experience here with seasonal sips & foods. They have tasty drinks, beers on tap & select wine. I feel their menu is elevated from other nearby bars in Benson area. They have HH m-f til 6pm $2 off house drinks & select apps! Met the owner who is kind & helped me out with a few ?? The view is awesome outside with sunny umbrella seating to heated igloos & TVs on the walls! OMG I love this place!!

I visited SET The Bar this past weekend and I can't speak more highly of this place! The ambiance was bright and welcoming, the service was amazing, and best of all, the food was OUT of this world. We had the Nachos, Banh Mi Fries, Street Corn Dip, Cauliflower Wings, and the Set Salad - which were all so flavorful and fresh. The nachos didn't come with a protein, and that didn't hurt the dish at all. The cheese, beans, salsa verse, and radish worked so well together. These nachos, I dare say, may be considered "healthy" if you're looking for that (but don't want cardboard tasting health food!) When we saw "Street Corn Dip" on the menu, it evoked memories of the cold dip you can get at Costco, but it was anything but that cold, pre-packaged stuff! It was served warm, and was SO creamy, and full of flavor. The Banh Mi fries were an explosion of goodness - spicy mayo, pulled pork, radish strips (that I first mistook for onions - EW) and jalapeño! These were huge, so definitely a shareable plate. My husband had the namesake "The SET Salad" and he was in love. Super fresh salad mix topped with an apple vinaigrette, and full of craisins, apples, feta, and the most delicious candied nuts (pepitas) that we had ever had. My husband even asked for a little cup of them to add more to the mix! I had the cauliflower wings which you could get with any of the normal wing sauces. My eyes bugged out of my head when I saw the flavor "garlic teriyaki" - my two favorite flavors ever, combined?! I had to get them. And oh wow, they lived up to the hype in my head. So tasty, with a huge burst of flavor, especially if you dip a little in their ranch *chef's kiss* And we finished with a dessert: The Rough and Tumble S'mores! So delicious with a burnt marshmallow topping, giving you the taste like you're really at a campfire. Every staff member we interacted with was great, including the chef - who we found out was a graduate of the culinary school at Metro, which is awesome! I love this place and will return many times over. It's so great that they are focused on women's sports when every single other bar in Omaha is focused on men's, mostly. Definitely check out SET The Bar the next time you're in the Benson area!

We learned about Set the Bar through Omaha Restaurant Week and man, were we glad we tried it! They offer elevated bar food and drinks at a fair price. And it's a very fun and sporty atmosphere. They also have a beautiful 2nd story patio so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Benson strip. Pro tip: Go here on game day to enjoy all the big screen TVs, like-minded company, and amazing food!

Omaha Restaurant Week does it again, allowing us the opportunity to dine at a great venue for a great deal and Set The Bar was a hit! As soon as my husband and I walked in, the vibes were just exhilarating. We came in on a the first Friday evening of ORW when Nebraska volleyball was playing. The game was already underway when we got there and people came ready to root for their team! The whole place was electric! The staff were all so nice. Since it was almost completely packed, we first got seated in the very corner of the patio overlooking the street. We weren't there very long and hadn't ordered anything yet when the hostess came to offer us a spot inside that was a little bigger. Once we were seated inside, our waitress came over almost immediately. I got the Coco Gay-Off cocktail and the ORW menu with cauliflower wings, the Mac and cheese with tofu, and the banana brûlée cheesecake and chocolate cake (husband and I got one of each and shared the desserts). Everything was excellent. The cocktail was tropical but not overly sweet and packed in a good sour note as well. The wings were flavorful without being too wet or mushy. I'm not sure how they cooked it, but the tofu in the Mac and cheese was the CRISPIEST I have ever had! I usually don't enjoy tofu, but this was actually very good and the chimichurri in the dish also elevated it with a different flavor profile. The desserts were both great. The chocolate cake was a bit more traditional - very fudgy and rich while the cheesecake was different with a banana base and bruleed bananas on top. No misses here and the restaurant definitely set the bar! Can't wait to come back!

Had the BEST time at Set the Bar. First time coming here but have heard great things. Came for the Love Island Finale. Got there 30 minutes early and was shocked how full it was! Got seated right away but others weren't so lucky with how busy they were. The atmosphere is incredible. They do a great job with separation of tv screens showing a wide variety of women's sports. All of our food was great. We loved everything we ordered. Service was good for how insanely busy it was. They had to bring in extra help because of the amount of people who were there for the watch party. The staff interacts with you which is a nice touch. Sitting and watching others around us everyone felt comfortable, safe, and accepted which is what Set the Bar is going for. I cannot wait for the fall for when volleyball starts and we get more of a selection of sports. Very excited to come back here!

What a wonderful addition to the sports bar scene! Love the chill vibe of the decor and the focus on women's sports.

S'mores brownie

I was excited to try this place because the concept is really cool to me, but I ordered delivery so I was just experiencing the food itself and it was just okay. The spinach dip was the most cream cheesey spinach dip I've ever had, I couldn't taste any spinach at all. I tried the Mexican street corn mac and cheese because it sounded unique but it wasn't very flavorful either, just sort of bland, not cheesy at all, didn't even give off the vibe of Mac and cheese at all. The s'mores brownie was also just okay, very simple ingredients because it's supposed to be a s'mores but I just wasn't blown away by anything. I think this is more of a place you go for the experience in person than the food itself. The menu is very small so there's not many options and the food I did try was just very forgettable.

Clean open restaurant with a modern view. Clearly a focus has been put back on the food, menu offering great staples and super special specials. Honestly, the service is a little spotty and they could really use an updated beer menu that includes pricing but the food is good and the prices are great Gambling or not gambling, the Sky bar and grill is worth a stop

This past Thursday, around 5:30 PM, eight of us decided to check out the brand-new Sky Bar and…read moreGrill inside the freshly renovated Prairie Flower Casino. Hopes were decent, vibes were good, and hydration? Covered--with water. Only water. We were seated quickly (shoutout to the light crowd), and our server came by to ask if we wanted appetizers... before even offering drinks. Bit of an odd move--it felt like skipping the handshake and going straight for the hug. I'd already clocked the self-serve Coke Zero station (bless whoever added that), so I figured I'd grab one later. We ordered mozzarella sticks, potato skins, and garlic parm wings. The server disappeared before we could order drinks. When she returned with the apps, she vanished again without checking in. We had to flag down another server for plates--and someone managed to snag a tea while we were at it. Eventually, we got to place drink orders. They came out slowly, but once we had them, refills flowed freely. For mains, we ordered: 1 Prairie Flower Burger 1 Steak Salad 3 Meatloaf Dinners 1 Pot Roast in a Bread Bowl (my pick!) 2 NY Strips My pot roast came in a cute little bread bowl with gouda mashed potatoes--small but tasty. The burger looked fantastic, and I'm going back to try it. The meatloaf had a herby twist but was well-liked. The steak salad, however, missed the mark--cold steak, despite being asked how it should be cooked. The NY strip steaks were inconsistently cooked, and the baked potatoes came plain--no butter, no sour cream--just lonely spuds. You have to ask for toppings. Good to know for next time. Now for the plot twist: we waited 90 minutes for our food. We watched every other table get served before and after us while we sat and sipped our drinks. Our server was apologetic, and we made the best of it with good conversation. But dessert? Total redemption. Chocolate cake (solid) Berry compote cheesecake (delicious) Pettit's Donut Bread Pudding (absolute game changer) That bread pudding stole the show. I'd come back for that alone. And here's the best part: management comped the entire meal--without us asking. We were told half-off, but they covered it all to compensate for the delays. That kind of service? Huge win in my book. Will I return? Definitely. I live nearby, I love a good Coke Zero on tap, and I'm rooting for Sky Bar to smooth out the bumps. Final Verdict: A few stumbles, but solid effort, great desserts, and top-tier customer service.
