great experience! Very helpful owners, got exactly what I wanted. Came on time and did great work.

Despicable business. The owners not only lied and continue to lie but compromised the character and the integrity of the countertop. I was not allowed the "promised" courtesy of approving the countertop template prior to the countertop being "cut". In addition, I waited five (5) hours for the installers. The owners did not initiate contact regarding the installers arrival time and no apology was offered for the five hour delay. I was to take the countertop "as-is", or not at all. As the stone veining pattern was not satisfactory I did not purchase the backsplash. Don't trust the owners. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I went to them for a small countertop for my kitchen coffee bar. I was flat out told he didn't want my business because he "didn't feel like" ordering the slab I requested, and that he was "in the business of making money" not taking small jobs. He was super rude and the most obnoxious person I have ever come across on my life. His name is Carmine and he can go to hell for being so disrespectful. Very unprofessional service!! Be very careful dealing with this store. Went to this store 3 times, picked the granite for my 2 bathroom vanity tops. Dennis (I believe the owner) came to my house and took measurements also. Then all on a sudden, he won't work on the order, won't call me. Called the store and talked to the guy, John. Real useless guy. He kept saying that the owner will call you. But I can hear his tone. If you don't want to do the work, at least be kind and professional to the customers and let them know so they can move on. No accountability/credibility. read more

My husband and I were searching for granite for our kitchen counters. We went to "Set N Stone" in search or white and grey granite. Because we had already had granite, we knew it to be the one that had almost no maintenance. The people we worked with were very nice. They all seemed professional and pleasant. We picked the stone that we loved. It was installed. Within a week, we started seeing stains that looked as if someone left a glass of liquid, that had dripped, leaving rings all over the counters. We also noticed that one of the seams ... that was very jagged...started to turn yellow. We called the company. The man who helped us in our purchase... who had been so nice and friendly..... now seemed slightly annoyed. He became very defensive and unpleasant. He worked on the counter. When he finished, It looked great. We were so relieved. But within an hour or so, the stains reappeared. We called back asking them to do please something. We were told that nothing could be done; this was something that occurred because of the Stone we picked. They said that in order to get rid of these stains, they would have to sand so deep that the stone would be destroyed. I tried reasoning with this man, explaining that we have had granite. We have never had any marks appear on the 15 year old granite. This man was quite nasty and rude. He had no desire to fix this problem. I told him that my only recourse was to go to Yelp and let the public hear about the " great" products they sell and the wonderful customer service they provide. Suddenly, he changed his tone. He said he'd have his manager call me. We never did get a call back. Because of how nasty and rude this man was, I actually didn't have the courage to call them back and argue . We decided to find someone who could repair granite. We found someone who has amazing reviews. After seeing our counter, he told us what the problem was: Our Stone was not granite. It also had marble in it. Marble can not be cleaned with any chemicals. This is why we had rings and stains. We checked our receipt to see if there was any mention of marble in the stone we had chosen. The receipt simply said, " granite". Because of that, we were told we should get the counter replaced but we didn't have the fight in us. Well, several years have passed. The stains are so bad now that we can't live with it any longer and we are now replacing. read more

Beyond happy with the outcome of my granite countertops. From start to finish everything went smoothly. Carmine was a huge help and really couldn't do enough for you. From selecting the granite to the final install, Carmine was there all the way explaining every little step and keeping you "in the know." I delt mainly with Carmine but there was a few times I engaged with the other workers on site. They were all very helpful..I'm very happy I found Set N Stone and I highly recommend! Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not recommend. My granite looks horrible.

This place had some very low prices and now I know why. When they came out to do the install they needed my help to get it in the home then when installing it they shifted my bottom cabinets and didn't tell anybody. When buffing the countertop they scuffed up our 900 dollar sink and left black adhesive all over our white cabinets. We were promised that they would build a cradle for the sink because is an old cast iron sink but when at my home they refused to do it. We found lots of chips in the stone but were told they would have to come back to fix it. When they left we found razor blades left all over our home and driveway and at that point we saw the sink. We called to go through the problems with a manager and were told they wouldn't fit the sink and now didn't see a need for the cradle. At this point they told us if we didn't like it to take them to court because they never lose in court. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody! read more

I had a very positive experience with SetNStone. I am a victim of Sandy and it has taken 4 years to get my kitchen done. I was referred to them by Doreen from their tile store, Stile, Tile Gallery in Brielle. I will comment on that experience later. With Doreen's help and Carmine's expertise I was guided through the process of choosing what counter was good for me. I decided on quartz . Carmine worked with my plans and then sent Vinny to my home to measure and do a template and he discussed every angle with my contractor and me. Within in 2 weeks it was delivered and installed. 2 very large slabs were carried up 8 ft without any problems. The installers did an excellent job and were very professional and left my kitchen spotless. Vinny also stopped by while they were doing the installation to check everything out. Their prices were excellent also. Now, to Stiles, Tile Gallery it took me three trips to the beautiful store to decide on my backsplash. With the help of Doreen I made a good decision. She spent a lot of time with me to get it right. She always had a sample of my quartz there to help with my choice. She was very patient and knowledgeable. Great team work between the two establishments. Great experience overall! read more

We have recently been renovating/updating our home and very excited for our new granite countertops and island as the finishing touch. We researched prices and quality then we made the choice to go with Set in Stone Granite on Swarthmore Ave. in Lakewood. This was a horrible mistake. They didn't show up yesterday and no call to postpone, keep in mind my husband took day off from work. We called them and they were not even apologetic. Set new date, today between 08:30-09:00am. 10:00 they showed up with my eagerly awaited island 8 inches TO SHORT, the granite was not flush to stove, one side sticking out further then the other, and the seam is very noticeable by the sink, which was also not centered with the window. When we called the store no answers, messages unreturned. My husband went to Set in Stone to discuss how we can fix THEIR huge errors to be told we are shysters. We are so disappointed in Set in Stone and I beg you to NEVER use them. The 3 of us can't even sit together, WTH. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!! So unprofessional!Our house was damaged to due to hurricane sandy we had to do our entire kitchen over my contractor used this company to install our granite. They installed the granite and the sink a little over a year ago. The other night our sink just fell out of its place, as it fell it landed on the pipe and cracked the pipe where the plumbing is attached we called and explained it to them and not being very nice they agreed after 3 phone calls that they would squeeze us in for service. They arrive at our home and tell us that the sink was installed improperly and they did put the sink back in. They did not replace and fix the pipe though they told my husband they do not do plumbing. We call the store and explain that the repair man did not fix plumbing and the manager let us know that don't care and will not be fixing the plumbing we asked to speak to the owner and he told us SHE does not want to speak to us. As far as I know the initial bad install is what caused the sink to fall which caused the pipe to break so just for customer service and that fact that we were victims of sandy they would do the right thing and fix the problem. I also got the same answer as the guy in the other review that we should try to take them to court cause they never lose. I wouldnt be proud to let anyone know I was experienced in the court system with the customers. DONT use this place please they don't deserve the business!!! read more
