I just absolutely loved this place. Came here with a few friends while visiting Nashville. I liked that it had a vibe about it that reminded me of the early 2000s lounges that I used to go to, but only nicer. There is seating with booths, and then more seating in the center of the venue with nice chairs. There's an area for the dance floor, and then the DJ. The DJ that they had that night was playing banger after banger and had everyone on the floor dancing, or vibing in their seats. We had a great server who gave us some great recommendations on drink options. I am usually not a gin girl, but trying the Espresso Martini with gin was something I thought I'd never say was amazing. Because it absolutely was! We all tried a few different cocktails and every single one just hit the spot. After spending way more time than we intended, we did eventually head out, but we enjoyed it so much we came back the next night too!

Dance floor was empty until it wasn't and in general the place did start hopping by 11ish. Felt clean, upscale, and fun. Good crowd. I'd recommend if you want a break from country music!

We just finished up at the Catbird Seat and Ashley had called next door to see if they could seat us at the Patterson House. As it turns out they could, and they were ready for us when we made our way across the hall. They gave us a choice of where we'd like to sit, and there were two chairs at the end looking out of the windows at skyline of the city. What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. Totally unexpected, and that just meant we had to have more than one round to make sure that we could appropriately tip and show our appreciation for the amazing hospitality! The drinks were great. I tend to gravitate towards the less sweet. The Japanese Anchorage scratched that elitch very well being boozy forward, with hints of flavors. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Very good, a little sweeter and a little heavier than I'd normally prefer. It met both of our preferences right in the middle. Compromise, right? Great experience, and would absolutely come back when in town!

I sat at the bar and had one of their seasonal cocktails as well as a manhattan. The bartender, Skye, (who is amazing btw!) took great care of me and even offered me a taste of a spirit behind the bar for a recommended cocktail. The entire experience is worth the price point. I recommend taking a ride share and walking to your venue on a nice evening. I'm glad the Voorhees building is being restored. I'll be back to try their burger!

We went in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet still, but the bar tenders were friendly and helpful. And although I'm not a huge tequila fan, I was impressed with my drink. We walked in around 5:00 PM, and there were very few people in the bar. We had a party of six, so we sat down at a table and waited. After sitting there for a while without anyone coming over, I finally went to the bar. Shortly after that, a waitress came to our table, so I went back and we placed our order. Then came another long wait, we waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, even though the bar was nearly empty. On the bright side, the drinks were great. I ordered an El Carajillo, and it was really good! The horchata crème in it was SOOOO good and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service issues continued. When the waitress brought the check for me to sign, I realized she had not returned my credit card. I had to track her down to get it back, and while doing so, I ran into another customer who had experienced the exact same thing. They have great drinks and normally provide a good experience, so hopefully this was just an off night. But on this particular Friday evening, with the bar barely occupied, the service definitely missed the mark.

Could enjoy the music, hear lots of variety of songs and performers and float between the floors to find different options. We also snagged some chicken nachos and they were killer. Absolutely fantastic after a long day. We went back on Friday night and for us it was too loud and packed, and the vibe was totally different, which we understand. It skewed more college esq and was louder than we liked so we left, but appreciate that things shift to appeal to various crowds at different times. Still a great spot with lots of history to check out.

I still believe the way they handled it was reckless and dangerous. My friends and I were waiting in a long line for the women's restroom. I really had to use the bathroom and was leaning against the wall when the male bathroom attendant offered, unprompted, to let us use the empty men's stall. We accepted. Moments later, someone began pounding on the door, shaking the handle, and yelling at us to get out. No one identified themselves, though I asked who it was and asked them to stop. I assumed it was an aggressive drunk patron, so I yelled back, asking them to stop. I would never have said what I did if I'd known it was staff. When I opened the door, two bouncers and a security guard were waiting. I apologized and explained right away that the attendant had invited us in. He looked directly at me and denied it. The bouncers then accused us of sneaking into the men's room and refused to hear anything else. As they escorted us out, I told the bouncer my phone was at our table with friends and asked to get it. He grabbed my arm, pushed me toward a different exit, and told me I'd have to get it "another way." I was put outside at night, impaired, with no phone and no way to call a ride, two miles from where I was staying, in an area that wasn't safe to walk alone. I got home safely only because the friends with me had their phones, though they didn't have the phone numbers of the people I was with that had my phone; after many Instagram DMs and calls, we finally were able to get their attention. Even while we waited outside, the bouncers kept taunting us. This happened just months after Riley Strain, a 22-year-old college student, was kicked out of a bar a few blocks away on Broadway. He left alone, his friends couldn't reach him, and he was found dead in the Cumberland River two weeks later. His death made national news and put a spotlight on how Nashville bars remove intoxicated patrons. Tootsies staff did the same thing to me anyway: they separated me from my group and my phone and pushed me out alone. The difference between my night and his is that my friends happened to have their phones. The next day, I walked past the same attendant in the alley beside the bar. He apologized to me. That apology confirmed what I said from the start, but it came a day too late to matter that night. Bars have to remove people sometimes, I understand that. There is a responsible way to do it, and putting a young woman out alone, impaired, and unable to contact anyone is not it. Staff never identified themselves, never let us explain, used physical force, and refused a simple request that would have taken thirty seconds (letting my grab my phone). After what happened to Riley Strain, there is no excuse for any Broadway bar to still handle removals this way. Any woman thinking of going here should know how this venue treats someone in a vulnerable situation.
