As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! TERRIBLE SERVICE - Won't Be Back…read more FIRST - I walked in and the person behind the counter just stared at me. No "Hi," no "Hello," no "How can I help you"... NOTHING. I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience.

Harvey has launched this place to new heights and has been friendly to all involved (He is a great Dungeon Master for D&D, especially for the little ones new to the game). In terms of stock for things other than comics, they have a selection that I see as mediocre at best at times, though this is likely due to supply and demand, especially now considering everything going on. Recycle Books Records is a true Texas gem!…read more This amazing used bookstore and record store is located in the heart of Denton, TX inside a 100+-year-old opera house. They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. This store can be a little overwhelming so definitely take a breath and ask for help if you can't find the genre you are looking for.

Tons of old records in the back to dig through and they picked out the cream of the crop and put them up front so you don't have to look hard to find something great. They had great prices and with every 10 dollars you spend you get a free 3 dollar record as well. When I was digging in the back the lady who works there kept checking in on me to see if I needed anything and even adjusted the A/C to be more comfortable for me to dig in. They have 3 larger rooms of neatly organized records broken into sub genre and then alphabetized. It was extremely easy to find what I was looking for and the staff were very helpful.
