I met with City Builders sales manager Chad Kinkade about a roofing project and provided my…read moreinsurance information. About a week later, he gave me an estimate and agreed to contact my claims representative and collect a shingle to begin the ITEL process. After multiple unanswered calls, texts, and voicemails, I finally reached him through the office. He acknowledged seeing my messages and promised to come by on July 24 or 25, but again failed to follow through or respond. No work was performed and I did not lose money, but I lost valuable time while my roof may be sustaining additional rain damage. I would have preferred a direct answer if he could not or did not want the job rather than repeated promises with no follow-through. I will not be working with City Builders.

The installers were fantastic from start to finish, doing great work on demolition, plumbing, installing the shower, and cleanup. The project was completed in one day. We would definitely contact City Builders again for other projects.

Sandy, who runs the day-to-day is outstanding at customer service. She helped guide us to the things we wanted and didn't waste our time looking at what we didn't want. They did all the floors in our home - from the real wood in the living areas (can I just say, "Wow?), the plank tile (very pretty), in the baths, entry, and kitchen, to the plank wood look (also stunning) in our downstairs family room. Their installers are pros and the products are even more than we expected in terms of beauty and quality. I would never go anywhere else. This was for my summer house and there was some mis-communication. I wasn't present when the job…read morewas done, so I couldn't check what was completed and what wasn't. Was quoted for replacing insulation in "ceilings" and they only did the attic. The first floor ceiling was not done - they said they couldn't find the access port, but never called me to inquire (it's a very obvious hatch in the bedroom closet floor). I only learned of this after I paid and then they gave excuses for not doing the complete job. Happy with the attic part, but wish they would've completed the whole job...

I requested an estimate to put an outdoor floodlight onto the front of my porch. The man who came…read moreto do the estimate came the next day, but they were backed up about 2 weeks until they could get the work done. The men who came were professional and fast when getting the work done. My only complaint is that while they were working, they had to install a temporary outlet onto the line to use their heating machine so they could heat and bend the conduit. I thought that was nice to have an outdoor electric outlet, and it would have taken *more time* for them to remove it than to just leave it on and continue forward. My complaint is that they charged me $77 dollars for a half hour of "work" when it actually *saved* them time to leave the outlet on, as is, and the lady in the office would not hear what I said anyway, since the electrician himself said it would just be the parts charge, which was around $44, which is stupid for an outdoor outlet but whatever! So? Always go with what is in your bid, because if you step outside that they will make up mythical charges for "time" that was actually SAVED by leaving the equipment in! Crooked practice, if you ask me! Charge me to save your men time! BS!
