I have always encountered helpful and friendly staff here. The selection is wide and varied. The quality is superior, encompassing many artists, artisans and price ranges. With COVID and the uncertainties of our future I've decided it's important to make the most of every holiday and special occasion. The next one upcoming is Valentine's say. I'm seeking a special piece of glass art. I've seen a couple of items I'm interested and Joseph and is store have been a great sounding board who is full of knowledge as I determine my next steps and investment. Love his unique boutique filled with wonderful gifts. While I do my research on what makes sense for me he's been busy contacting artists to get an idea as to their latest inventory and shipping date. More soon! It was the end of the day and they were scheduled to close five minutes before I came in, and I apologized for coming in so close to closing and then being drawn and distracted by the huge array of fabrics on offer. They said it was no issue at all, and I got signed up for their newsletter. I'm already now looking into what they offer for sewing classes because I have some projects I'm working on related to bookbinding and it would help me to learn/re-learn how to sew. I emailed the shop and they responded to me within a few minutes (!) and I was able to pick up the glass the same day. The store is very cute, from outside and inside. I love it. I just came to buy glass without asking them to install, but the man helped me anyway to fix the kinks of the old frame. I was struggling so much with it so much at home, that it was so cool to see how he did it - he obviously knew what he was doing, and really did everything in a cinch. Really cool!

I asked a coworker if she had gotten anything framed in Ithaca before, and she suggested the Frame Shop. I bought a pre-matted photo through the campus store (not realizing that the Frame Shop also has a selection of Cornell photos for sale) and took it in last Friday. I really didn't know what I was looking for (we own exactly one other professionally-framed item--the rest of our frames are from Target), but Richard helped me pick out a really nice mahogany wood that compliments the photo, and true to his word, it was done exactly a week later. It looks fantastic! It's amazing how much nicer a photo can look when you have it professionally framed. And price-wise, I feel like the Frame Shop was very reasonable, especially since I went with the "conservation" glass that will prevent fading. Now I just need to find a place in our shoebox-of-an-apartment to hide this from Alex until his parents arrive for graduation...
