I doubt many people just stumble in with no idea what to expect - you get The Flock! The people who know about the tactile loveliness and the riot of color that is yarn shop! Seriously, I first visited several years ago. I live about an hour away from Ithaca, but whenever I'm around, Homespun is on the itinerary. I was newly widowed, in need of comfort, and yarn is good for your soul. It's a darling little shop, and there were mittens made from bulky yarn, very rustic, in the display window. What could be more soothing than mittens? I went in.
