Had a SERVPRO project manager come for a mold remediation inspection/consultation. The project…read moremanager then claimed that there was probably more mold throughout the whole house and suggested gutting the WHOLE ENTIRE apartment where this mold was located. He also claimed there was most likely trace levels of asbestos because of the horse hair/vermiculite walls in a late 1800s house...DUH!! And for that reason it would then become an incredibly expensive asbestos removal gig...are you serious?? They were going to charge thousands just to test the mold, and Im 100% sure they wanted to get the asbestos test done ASAP to lock us into doing all the unnecessary work they wanted to charge us for. The project manager talked about all of this highly sensitive information in front of tenants, and was horribly unprofessional...It seemed like he was doing it on purpose. They try to scare the homeowner into committing to a contract with incredibly predatory terms...so they can take advantage of you!! Safe to say I cut ties with this company and any predatory mold/asbestos testing company they work hand in hand with. I suggest speaking to your local municipality about their rules and regulations regarding mold don't listen to the mold remediation company especially not SERVPRO. I also suggest avoiding this company and save yourself regret and possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars depending on how much they want to get you for.

Tim had his team come out and everyone was very professional and kind. The first crew came out and took out the ceiling and some walls. For the last part of the walls affected by mold, Tim sent Angel. We were worried that part of the moldy wall which was behind the AC unit wouldn't be accessible and we would have to incur thousands of dollars to have an HVAC company come out to move it, but Angel was able to take care of that portion of the wall without having to call out a HVAC crew!! ServiceMaster Restore completed…read morewater damage remediation on ~200 sq ft of my condo in summer of 2024, but the process took 4 months for what should have been a simple job. They failed to perform work they billed for, which led to mold growth, and it took another month for them to return and fix their mistake. Over a year later, they are now demanding payment without providing an invoice for insurance or me to review (neither an Xactimate or TradePro estimate for $10K of work), while threatening interest charges and property liens. Despite advertising that they work with insurance companies, they refused to coordinate with mine. Very frustrating, lengthy and unprofessional experience. I'll post again if this is ever resolved! Please note the workers were helpful and respectful of me and my property, the billing and project management process are just horrible.

They showed up the following day and did an outstanding job removing all damaged floors, wood and drywall, making it easier for the adjuster to evaluate the scope of the damage. They set up fans and dehumidifiers To prevent mold from forming and the damage from becoming worse. They were quick, careful with our stuff and cleaned up after themselves extremely well once they were finished. Three months later when the repairs were finished with, our insurance called them back to do a post-renovation cleaning. Holy smokes, this place has never looked so good! They cleaned everything--even the insides of cabinets and closets, windows and all surfaces, and even organized and sorted stuff out as they went along. There were absolutely no issues, nothing was lost or broken and they even kept track of our two cats so that they wouldn't wander off. I would highly recommend them for those big cleaning jobs even if you don't have a disaster to take care of. Thanks to Amanda and her crew for an awesome and professional job!
