We recently had water damage in our home when the washing machine decided to overflow and put a…read moresignificant amount of water on the laundry room and kitchen floors.  The water ran through into the basement damaging the ceiling and walls in our finished basement, as well as the carpeting on the floor.  We immediately called ServPro, who quickly came to our rescue, helping us move things out of the way to minimize damage and to begin the initial clean-up of the water. This was followed by one of their expert teams coming in and cleaning up the mess, removing the ruined kitchen and laundry room floors, as well as part of the basement ceiling and walls, and drying the entire place out. They were extremely courteous to my wife, my kids and me. Great guys. Would use that team any day for water restoration. That interaction was the shortest part of the job, hence the low rating. The restoration and office experience is an entire different story... Before I go into the bad, I will say everyone who entered my home was kind and respectful. Now the not so good: -Promises go unfulfilled. -told that we would finish in a week. It took almost 3 weeks -a team was supposed to show up on a daily basis by 8:30am. They showed up around 9:30/10:00am. Sometimes a few people, other times 1 person. One of the workers said he was taking vacation soon and the manager told us that person had to leave on a family emergency out of country. In my experience, emergencies are usually a "get up and go" type of instance vs something planned. -work was left unfinished and when I called the office they said "the walkthrough was completed" -We also took a railing down after a portion of the wall was painted (they still had to put on more coats of paint). They chose not to paint the area where the railing meets the wall. They said "oh, I thought you were putting this back up." We were told they would return to fix. Got a call that day asking to have it moved back until the following Tuesday... never showed, never called, nothing. I guess it was my fault since I went ahead and paid before it was fixed. - Attention to detail -many things were considered "done" and we had to point out holes that were not filled before painting, quarter round molding not nearly flush, holes in grout, etc. This would not have been fixed unless we pointed it out. For painting, these guys don't even tape. sloppy job on a number of corners. -Payment/Office interaction. - gave an upfront payment with a credit card. No issues, no fees - the day the job was finished, we were told if we wanted to pay with credit card again, we would have a 3.5% fee. No notification of this until the day of. Nothing written on payment terms in the contract, just a "by the way, this is happening now".. also, if they had finished on time, this would not have been a problem because this new policy was implemented after the fact. Talked to Steven about it who was very unprofessional. I told him about the delay being the issue and if they had finished on time, I would have still been able to pay. He even tried to blame me fore the delay. "Oh, you requested more work" (the promise of when they would finish occurred after the work was requested). Then he said they were waiting on the insurance adjuster to approve the additional work. Funny, the insurance adjuster called me asking where the update was from ServPro as she wanted to make sure this was taken care of quickly (I used servpro because they are a preferred vendor of the insurance I use so communication would be direct. He also said "we were waiting on your sliding glass to be delivered" (something they forgot to remove on their template contract from another customer...we had no sliding glass being done). Garrison at least had apathy, was apologetic and said they are working on how to inform people properly. Might not seem like a big deal but I don't like providing my bank account number. It's much more of a pain to fix than a credit card if it is used inappropriately. I told them I would take my time paying and Steven gave me more grief. I said how do they expect me to pay with a check if the insurance company has not even paid me. Turns out they didn't even tell the insurance company they had finished so the funds could be released! Just adding in, seems like I got a response sayiNg I should call about questions I have. I actually voiced all that was wrong. Kind of funny I keep finding more that is wrong. For instance, in the middle of a kitchen tile there is a piece of plastic or glue sticking out of the grout and spots that weren't even painted. Kind of funny that a walk through the house with my pregnant wife who just wanted the job done is a "final sign off" that the work is completed.

Thanks to a sump pump outage, we ended up with about 2 inches of water in lower level of our split…read morelevel home. it was a disaster! Serviclean was recommended to me. I called and they sent someone out right away. Within a matter of hours the crew had removed all of the wet carpet, drywall and baseboards, positioned fans and dehumidifiers and we were on our way to being dry again. They came back EXACTLY when they said they would to check on the progress and pick up their equipment. Especially during the pandemic, they were all very professional and took all the precautions one could hope for to keep me, my family and themselves safe while rendering outstanding services. The receptionist was very helpful, and we easily set up an appointment for Jim (the owner) to come out and take a look at my wind-damaged roof. There was some initial mishaps at the beginning. Basically Jim called me and told me that he needed to be at another job site because it was critical. I mean, I'm not a hard person to work with, so we just rescheduled. I did fly home from Denver early for that appointment.... but ok, let's try again. The next week, we meet up and Jim is pretty awesome. He walks me through the entire house, takes a few measurements, looks at the water spots on the ceilings, sketches some stuff, and tells me this would be easy. He's just gotta do something called an "EagleView" to get exact measurements of the roof. My insurance is kinda sketchy and only gave me money to cover 1/2 the roof, but I tell Jim that I'm gonna get the whole thing done anyway and pay outta pocket. He told me that he would lose money if he only did half a roof, and that all the interior work had very little margins. I totally agree with that, which is why I would do the full roof. I need to email my HOA to get approval before any work can be done, which is taking weeks. I keep Jim in the loop with periodic status update, and everything seems fine. My last update to Jim was that I would be out of the country for 2 weeks, and we would sync up after I get back. By now, it had been several months since I initially reported the issue. I email him back - no response, I call him - no response, I leave messages with the secretary to call me back - no response. I wait around for about 6 weeks for a response, but just never heard anything. I get that they're busy, but if they're not going to treat all customers with respect and courtesy, they will surely not get any of my business. I feel like they completely ignored me because my townhouse would not have been worth their time to re-roof. If that was the case, they could have easily just said so and not waste each other's time. I'm sorry to give a local business a poor review, but all businesses need to treat everyone fairly.

My insurance company, Liberty Mutual, contacted them to clean up the mini-flood in my townhouse…read morethat resulted from my water heater cracking and leaking water all over the first floor. ServPro came the same day that my insurance contacted them and got to work examining all of the surfaces that became moist as a result of the leak. They utilized moisture sensors and were able to pinpoint mildew/mold and other moisture that was present in drywall, on baseboards, and under vinyl flooring. They put up various plastic sheets and taped off areas that were affected to prevent the airborne spread of mold/mildew throughout the house. Within 24 hours they brought the necessary tools to cut away the damaged sections of drywall, remove damaged vinyl flooring, and remediate the problem. They also left for over 72 hours various commercial-size dryers (that weren't too noisy) to ensure that everything was dry. They did an excellent job. Hopefully, I'll never run into a situation like this again, but if I do, I definitely know who to call.

I was extremely lucky to have found, after a quick search, the Happy Drain Guys. Ahmed answered his phone and said he would arrive within the hour. He did just this, determined that the " snake" was all that was needed, and proceeded to clear the drain back to the main sewer pipe, taking great care not to damage this old cast iron pipe. Extremely pleasant and explained everything he was doing and how to avoid this problem in the future. I suspect that house sitters and grease may have created this problem.
