My HVAC unit died during single digit temperatures. My great service tech Jon was there within hours (amazing based on the severe weather) As always Jon got the heat going, but the unit had reached its life expectancie and then some. It was time for the replacement I was waiting for, only it came at the worst possible time (I mean zero temperatures) The sales manager Martin called me and made recommendations for a new unit. He found me a unit with a manufacturers & PECO rebate. When he told me he'd install it in just 2 days I was blown away. That is the great service i've experienced with Wesley Wood for the 25 years I've been with them. Jennifer scheduled a follow up appointment to ensure everything was running efficiently. The tech made some minor tweaks and helped me down load the app so I can control the thermostat from my iPhone. A great feature for me since I am often at work at Nordstrom for long hours. I've watched this company go from great to mediocre then back to great again. This new team has their stuff together and I'm a tough critic. We have been on the Wesley Wood service plan and recently our air conditioner stopped working. Had Alan Kobb as our technician who said our compressor was totally gone from a PECO surge and that we needed a new air conditioner for $15-20k. He then pushed the Wesley Woods Advantage plan for our purchase. We asked if there was no way to repair it and he said the part itself was $8k and after installation would be close to $10k and might not even work as there could be further damage to the unit. So if it did not work we would be out the $10k and still need to buy a new unit. Both my wife and I did not have a good feeling about our experience and decided to get a second opinion from Wheatley HVAC we had used in the past. They came out, fixed the unit in less than 15 minutes for a few hundred $'s and said it was just the capacitor which needed replacing. I spoke with the GM Christine at Wesley Wood to express my concern it sounded like we were either totally misdiagnosed by Mr. Kobb or he was trying to get a commission for a new unit. Her initial response was the other company was just saying this to get our business - totally missing the point they fixed it for very little money and we now had a working air conditioner. She then said she would discuss with Mr. Kobb and get back to me. 3 days later still no call back. Be very careful using this company based on our experience. read more

Yesterday I got a message on my Thermostat that my outdoor sensor needs the batteries replaced. I called for service and was given an appointment for today between 8-12noon. At 1:30 I called because the service person had not shown up. I was told my appt was pushed to between 12-4pm. NO SHOW or phone call Again!!! At 9:15 pm I called again and was told all service people were pulled off the road due to inclement weather. SERIOUSLY???? Bone dry outside. My main complaint is NO SHOW @ NO CALLS. I expected a service, not a sales call for which I paid $138. NOTHING was done to my HVAC equipment: not even the air filter was replaced - I even had one that they saw. They have set up another appointment for about $1,000 for a new capacitor, on-off switch (looks fine to me) and fan cleaning. While I know I need a new HVAC, that is NOT the reason I called Wesley Wood and there was nothing in advance selling me it would be a sales call. And the quote was $22k - $32K. I was an existing customer of Wesley Wood. My heating stopped working with a malfunction error on Sunday 12/4. I called for service at 6:40am on Monday 12/5 and was placed on their schedule between noon and 4pm that same day. When there was no visit by 2:30pm I called for an ETA and was told I was not on the schedule! They apologized and sent someone out at 5:45pm later that night. They diagnosed the system as an intermittent issue with the flame rollout switch and was told we could continue running the heater. I was charged $59.00 for a diagnostic fee. The switch arrived on Wednesday 12/7 when they came out around 3pm. They installed the new switch and did a preventive maintenance, and I was charged $283.00 for the switch replacement. A half hour after they left the heater malfunctioned with the same error as the previous Sunday and stopped working. I called another HVAC company the next day who came out to diagnose the issue. Within 5 minutes they diagnosed a cracked heat exchanger showing high levels of Carbon Monoxide on their combustion meter and advised me to turn off the heater advising a replacement! I am truly lucky that my family wasn't harmed or killed from by the heater releasing Carbon Monoxide! Despite this horrible experience I included Wesley Wood along with 3 other HVAC companies for a price on a replacement system. All companies were able to come out on Friday 12/9 except for Wesley Wood. They scheduled me for Saturday between 10am-12noon. At 1:30pm when they were a no-show I called to cancel them from coming out since they didn't want my business. I would not recommend this company! They are not the same company they were years ago. After this experience they have lost a long-time customer who has had a service contract agreement with them over the last 5 years. read more

Awful costumer service. I didn't go with my home warranty as I needed my AC to be fixed same day as I have a toddler and an infant. They arrived quickly except they worked on a wrong unit which was in good condition. They changed some parts and stated that I have to purchase a new AC. I was charged over 800$, I called them multiple times, I told them that they worked on a wrong unit. The front desk associate promised many times that the manager will call me back and nobody called. I've been without my Lennox IComfort thermostat for over a year, and on one call, the tech put the wrong filter in. Do not invest in the Advantage Plan they offer. Run, don't walk away! Got an email about a tune up deal and figured since my furnace was older that i'd have the service done at a rental property that I owned. On the day of the appointment 2 guys showed up. One was a technician and the other a salesman. The salesman didn't even take a look at the unit before he tells me if the exhaust registers over 100 units of whatever that he legally has to shut off my furnace and it needs to be replaced and then tells me I have to replace my hot water heater as well...again without even looking at it. The technician seemed to be trying to check out the unit while the other guys was trying to play lets make a deal to replace everything including a boiler i had for another unit...again without even looking at the unit. The sales guy then turned the furnace back on since the tech had turned it off and started registering the exhaust and it registered around 140 whatevers and was dropping quickly when the salesman very loudly starts saying he's legally got to shut the unit down unit about 15 feet from my tenant who is of course starting to freak out a bit because its winter and the heat is now shut off. The sales guy then starts putting on the hard push to immediately replace everything again. I've got a pretty good relationship with the tenant and asked him to look up this so called 100 units rule that legally requires a unit to be shut down while i talked to the sales guy. Of course, it turns out the number is 400 and not 100. I told the sales guy i'd have to think about it and had to pay for the tune up even though there was no turn up performed, just a quick look inside the unit. I paid for the tune up but it was worth it just to get the sales guy out of my house. I did have another company come out who performed a real tune up on the unit. That tech confirmed the rule of 400 units and after he performed a tune up it was registering under around 10 units and running great. read more

I have used them for installation of entire heating system as well as preventative maintenance contracts. My last appointment on October 3 was canceled without my knowledge. The appointment was between 8-10 am. I waited till 11am and called and the representative was rude and blaming me for the mistake. I wrote two emails without response. My heater was destroyed when my basement flooded. I called Wesley Wood for an estimate. The service tech was to come on Sat morning between 8 and 10 AM. A man for financing was also to come with him. At 10:30 I called and the cust service woman said she would try to get hold of him. She could not, but said he should be here in a couple minutes. He came at 11:00 with no phone call to say he was late, on his way or when he finally did arrive. The finance person was not with him. He told me what I already knew, I needed a new boiler. He left at 11:30. He told me the man doing finance would be here in a couple minute. At 12:30 I called Cust service again and she told me she would try to get hold of this man. She said he had a home emergency and could not make make it until maybe later that day or on Sunday. His emergency was he had no electric. Not sure why that was an emergency, but he never called me to say he was not coming or try to reschedule. This company is completely unreliable. If possible I would have given 0 stars. They installed our HVAC system in 2008, seemed like a great company at the time; in retrospect it was a terrible investment so I'm writing this to warn you to find someone else! Our highly priced Lennox system started giving us problems from the start; they always came out, did "adjustments", tried to make it right, After a year or so, we switched maintenance companies and have had the same one for the last 11 years. They never badmouthed Wesley Wood though they knew who installed it because we told them. They've kept the thing going, adding refrigerant as needed every summer, dealt with the furnace shutting off spontaneously in the winter, etc. This year we got fed up and are dumping the whole thing for a new Trane system. Our guys finally implied that the installation was very poorly done and probably was responsible for all the issues we had. Sometimes it's only apparent in hindsight, Bottom line, they are not the same Wesley Wood that had a great reputation - they kept the name but not the reputation. read more

have had them for 10 years. but lately, their service has diminished.. they do not return calls promptly...their prices are well above the average in the local community.. I needed a new heat pump.. the refrigerant leaked and a new type of refrigerant was needed because r22 was no longer allowed.. they wanted to charge me $250 a pound to replace r22.. when I called other heat repair companies in the area, they quoted 70-80 a pound.. quite a difference..also, their quote for a new heat pump/furnace was almost 5000 higher than others... need less to say, I switched vendors. read more

Regarding contacting customer service to express our concerns, we have done that several times. We asked to have our system removed/replaced at least 3 different times to Gary because of the problems. Gary does not return our calls in a timely manner. Today he was supposed to have a Lennox Rep come to our house to determine if the unit was defective or not. Try calling him several times yesterday for get a time that they would arrived, not return call. Gary finally called this morning stating that one of his techs would be out to check out the unit again, and not a Lennox Rep, which is not want we agreed a pond or requested. Gary stated that want the Lennox Rep requested, in which we stated that's not want we agreed a pond, he stated that the Lennox Rep would call us. Which were still waiting on a call? We have contacted Lennox Corp office and they are currently looking in to it. BTW when this unit was installed they didn't even use a new air filter in the handling unit nor leave it with us. They used the Trane's air Filter; the more we look back the more that wasn't completed correctly. On one phone conversion Gary tried to lie to us about another brand called Goodman and stated they were out of business, which they are not, in fact they are used in a lot of new construction, plus were in the trucking industry in which we pick up from Goodman warehouse. The fact that he either lied or didn't have the correct information and tried to misinform us is a whole other problem. Fact is we paid $10K for a top of the line brand so to speak, and he has had nothing but problems. The unit has thrown 20 different codes, and every time your tech come out they state "think we have fixed the problems" but no one seems to know what the problem is. We paid $7500.00 for the Trane and had all the duck work installed, put all the lines ran. With this unit, you did not replace any lines nor did piping, or electric on this install, instead reuse all the current ones. We agreed to have anything/everything replaced in the agreed a pond price. They had to re-run the electrical we where told that wasn't included, that's they were doing this as a favor, excuse me, that was paid for it's not our fault you don't have 3 techs that completed the job correctly. We have taken several days off work to get this resolved, lost thousand in electric bills and hours on the phone. Hmmm... Where to start, lets start with install day the crew that showed up were dressed casual not logo shirts or marking. They seemed like a sub contractor vs. what we pay for, BTW we plan to keep our old unit and scrap it but they took it. They didn't act like they new what they were doing come to find out I was correct. They reused the current pipe lines and electric hooks up, but new ones were included in the price but never reimbursed for not replacing them. Go up in the attic to check out the unit and find a air leak from tape not being taped properly. I fixed it with ac tape we had no biggy. During the summer though never really cooled down, had to run another ac unit in the basement to keep that room cool. When spoke with them they stated while your units in the attic and the basement probably will not get cool. Now I live in a townhouse not a mansion, this unit is bigger then our Trane unit which we didn't have any problems with till they came to fix it and told us it would cost 6K and a new one would cost 10k top of the line, 10 year warranty a care package. Then there was winter had $600 electric bills, called then out several times for connection loss. The unit was throwing codes, and when checked was from day 1! After about 4 times they decided to rewire the connection from the outside unit to the inside unit. Only one tech went out of the way and checked the complete unit and found the connection issues. Vs. stating Auxiliary should run all the time from one tech and no it shouldn't. One tech was called out because the outdoor unit was making noise and he stated it was just screws loose. First off how did the screws come lose already when the unit is not even a year old, next IT STILL MAKES THE SAME NOISE!!!! I believe they just are lazy and try to do a quick fix and run. Last straw was coming home to a hot house and when they finally showed up stated A drop of water shut the system down.. Then they tell me I should update my attic insulation, that will fix my loss of energy problem. NEWS FLASH the Trane could keep up and had the inside temperature at 68 degree for the Siberian... Called today to get the unit replaced or taken out of my house and loan canceled still not a call back!!! They do not stand behind there techs or products!!! Once the unit is out, even if it ends up on there steps, then it is time for a professional company to install and stand behind their product!!! read more

We have been Wesley Wood customers for over 35 years. Our original heat pump lasted 22 years, but it died on the coldest day of the year that winter. We called, got emergency service and were up and running with a new Lennox system that day. Now, 14 years later, the Lennox system we had installed has been using more and more power, so we talked to Martin, one of the sales reps at Wesley Wood about a replacement system. We didn't want to wait until our heat pump failed, we wanted to be able to understand our choices and plan out a replacement. Martin suggested 3 different systems, and we chose that one that best fit our needs and budget. We scheduled the work for the next week. On the scheduled day, Steve and Michael came out to the house. We showed them where things were and pointed out that the outdoor unit was in the middle of a flower garden and asked that they do everything possible to not destroy the flowering plants. They took great care to minimize the damage to our flowering plants, and we have to thank them for that. The installation seemed to go smoothly and by early afternoon, Steve and Michael were done with the installation. They had the work areas cleaned up and all of the old equipment removed and in their truck. We will continue our service contract with Wesley Wood and look forward to the energy savings from our new system. read more

Called due to a broken A/C in the hottest day of the year. We had a guy come out who was very nice - but only after three hours did he tell us he didn't have the part to finish the job and to please pay the bill for the not fixed AC (company policy). We have now heard that the part will not be in for three days and of course cannot contact anyone else bc we had to pay a hefty bill for a partially completed job. We have a very small infant who is suffering and are at a complete loss... unhappy doesn't begin to describe how I feel about this situation. forgot to include that we had one of their service guys out in the Spring who told us we didn't need a filter and didn't even look at outside unit only to be told by the next guy that this likely wouldn't have happened if he just looked at the unit? I would give 0 stars if possible. I'm not entirely sure how this company is still in business. We had a new and expensive, energy-efficient HVAC system installed 2.5 years ago and it still does not work properly, despite multiple visits from service techs. The service manager and GM promised to get involved, but I haven't heard a word from either of them. We had a maintenance appointment scheduled for tomorrow and just received a phone call asking us to reschedule because we are not considered an emergency, even though we paid for a service plan with this company and our system is not currently working properly. I am considering contacting the BBB in hopes that perhaps that will get our system working properly. Please do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this company. read more

I have a service contract with this company and for that, they do a an HVAC system examination 2x/year. Years ago they'd send inexperienced techs out and we dealt with them forgetting to turn the system back on, setting everything to A/C in the winter so the heat didn't turn on, necessitating a 1am service call where the repair guy realized the tech made an error and didn't charge us for the call. I completely gave up on them for years but our system is now 11 years old and having problems every season so I signed up for their service plan again (when we bought the house, new, they installed the HVAC). Our A/C stopped working last night, I called for service, got a 4-6pm appointment time. It's 8pm and they're a no-show and I haven't heard a thing from Wesley Wood. I called their number, held for 15 minutes while the operator "looked into the issue" then was disconnected. I called back 2 more times, each time waiting 10 minutes in addition to leaving a VM. This company is terrible and I would never trust them to replace my HVAC or do an intensive repair. Additional info.: Steve, a tech from WW called me around 8:30pm and offered to come out at 10:30pm. I told him I'd call the office the next day to schedule service during regular hours. I called the next morning (why did I have to call them? Why didn't they call me to explain the no show, respond to my VM and get me on the schedule?) The operator said, "Let me see if we can squeeze you in." "Squeeze me in!? The operator was clueless. HOWEVER, things got better when Steve showed up. He was very professional, pleasant and fixed our AC within an hour of arrival. This fall (2013) i tried scheduling my semi annual inspection and have had 3 cancelations thus far, spanning over the past 2 months. I have maintained my annual service contracts year over year, and have been rewarded with horrendous customer service in return. With each of the recent cancelled visits, it has been on the day of the scheduled event - wasting my time waiting the day away. The individual techs who service the hvac systems are generally nice friendly guys who are just trying to do their job but if you think that maintenance contract is going to get you faster service forget it. If you are unfortunate enough to have a breakdown on a weekend you MiGHT get in the schedule of the single guy they have driving all over the county and get it resolved before Monday rolls around. More likely you will sit and wonder if anyone is going to show up, because the person on the phone will be useless, and you'll need to take a day off to wait for the guy somewhere between 9-5. read more
