I wish that I could give them 0 points after spending $21,000 with them not even 6 years ago my condenser is gone out and now I've been told that they gave me one that uses the old freon. That was a whole reason I got the new system and I purposely ask the guy who sold it to me I needed a new system that didn't use the old freon because I knew they were doing away with that freon. but now I find out that they gave me one that uses the old freon. Well not even 6 years later my condenser has gone out and I've been told now that I have to spend $2,000 to get a new one even with my "home warranty" because it's not an even exchange they're making me pay the difference between what an old system would cost and the new and it's all because I still have the systems that use the old freon which is so maddening. I would never go through Crawford again for my AC units or Costco for that matter. So buyer beware they're Liars or at least they lied to me! read more

I bought a new Lennox HVAC system from Crawford Air in 2024. They were very thorough and very professional. I signed for an extended 10 labor warranty . I was told that there would be no charges for anything for the next 10 years. I trusted Crawford Air because of their reputation, and because they were part of a Costco contract. When I called today to schedule my a maintenance visit, I found out that they were bought out by Service Experts. They told me that maintenance visits would not be covered. I am on their maintenance program and every tech from Jose, Jaime, Jason, Jesus are all AMAZING. Crawford Service now known as Service Experts Grand Prairie. Been trying to get someone to call me back now since August 8th. My previous experience on a separate issue was 5 weeks before I could talk to the manager. System installed Nov 2024, had a maintenance done on 7/24. Since then my outdoor unit is making loud noise and vibrating my guest bedroom wall which translates to loud noise in the bedroom and walking up to it. Had techs come out to see and they agreed this is loud however didn't have solution and said someone from office will call (under warranty and extended service plan). No calls. I have been calling in since. My records show my outgoing calls on 8/13, 8/20, and now 8/26 for me to get a hold of someone who can resolve. Have called Costco (thru which I bought this HVAC unit and another prior unit year and half ago with cumulative rough cost of $32,000. Still waiting on response and resolution. Generally great technicians but management isn't supporting them well at all it seems. UPDATE: happen to receive a call during this write up. Sending in a quality manager tomorrow to take a look at the units. Will update further after resolution. read more

Crawford Services has been an amazing company for the past 5-7 years. We have been very happy with their white glove service. But Buyer Beware. They have been bought out and are now part of a bigger company owned by a private equity firm. They are NO longer what they used to be. Beware of the 'sales' guy that comes along on the visit. I was told my part was on backorder - it was not - I found the part myself! They want to see you a new system that you rent from them - calculate $300 per month to rent a system. And if you have two units - you would pay them rent at $7200 per year and it would be a 10 year contract. So ask them what happens if you sell your house - yep you still get to pay them for 10 years. This private equity firm has bought out 4-5 local companies in Dallas / FW area....so beware of new company name....Service Experts. read more

I called this morning and got quick, prompt service from Crawford Services to come and check a flashing red light that I learned was a normal signal for the unit. I called at 7am and Jason was here at 10am. The units were new and I was concerned about it. We have had multiple plumbers come to our home to fix an outdoor faucet, and each time the fix failed a year or two later, resulting in annoying drips keeping the area wet and mosquito-infested. We turned to Crawford Service this time on a neighbor's recommendation, and we received a visit from their service technician. He seemed very knowledgeable and competent, and he did an excellent job installing another new faucet. Time will tell, of course, whether this fix will have much permanence, but I am optimistic because of the apparent competence of the Crawford technician. The area beneath the faucet remains nicely dry. The fees and charges were very fair and completely reasonable. read more

I had Crawford Services come out to do a Winter inspection of our twin furnaces, as we were having some air quality issues. Jeff Pittman was our service technician and he did a phenomenal job -- opened both units, took photos of all areas, confirmed no damage needing repair, noted a weak capacitor that needed replacing, and gave some great recommendations on upgrades for air filtration. And the quotes we got were extremely reasonable, even giving us a referral when we asked about duct cleaning. I gave this 5 Stars because that's the most allowed, but I definitely recommend Crawford Services. read more

Technician came out. Stated I needed freon but the company no longer offers the particular brand. Then states "I may have a leak". When I asked him where, he reply it could be anywhere in the system. Then told me he had the freon I needed at his home. Apparently he has extra for his friends. At that point I paid the service fee and i would have another companycome out. I've used the company since at least 2012. This will definitely be my last call to Crawford Services. read more

I felt ripped off. He was there about an hour, replaced 2 plastic pipes under the sink and charged $500.00. I also inquired about replacing the 2 parts inside the tank on the toilet. He wanted to charge $300.00 for that so I declined. I have not had to have a Plummer in quite a while, so I don't know if this is the standard now. Two stars because they came out on Christmas Day which we really appreciate. However, they blew out a line and our upstairs bathroom sink had an exploded mess everywhere. The technician who was thoughtful and helpful, did not notice the gross mess he had made. Came back upstairs hours later and discovered what had happened. First I should say that I did not choose Crawford Services. They were sent by an insurance company I use to do the work, as one of their "trusted" contractors. The repair seems fine. My issue is w/ their clean up work. They left my yard a mess, cut sprinkler lines and landscaping lines. And when asked when they were going to fix these things, they hide behind their agreement w/ the insurance company on what they "are & are not" responsible for. So, if you are going to use these guys make sure you check w/ your landscape company and your sprinkler company to get other quotes for the money you will need to spend after Crawford "fixes" whatever you may have them working on. read more

It's was over a thousand dollars and turns out be a glorified discount program. no line skipping or preferred treatment. This is a shady business practice and they are lying to people. Very hot and humid and one of my AC units was blowing warm air. Called Crawford Services, who I have used previously for AC service, and they were able to come out within 2 days during a time of high demand. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue (low coolant levels) very quickly and got the system back up and running in no time. They were on time, very clean and dedicated. I was amazed on how clean and neat job they did on my attic. It is like a piece of art. I am also very amazed by the customer service of Kenji. Update from last visit. On last visit, which was only a yearly checkup, I was given the all clear on both units. However the next day I realized one unit was not cooling. Another tech came out and said the capacitor was bad...even though the day before I was told it was old but still working. So a new capacitor was installed for $400. Quite a coincidence that it went bad just after the other tech left and was working before he got there. And I don't believe in coincidences! read more

We were referred to Crawford Service by Costco so our expectations were high. They not only met our expectations, they far exceeded them! Our job was set as a priority since the existing unit had completely stopped working. Worse, we had contractors in trying to work on the foundation in a miserably hot house. Crawford Service came out and installed a full system in a single day!!! The technicians were all very professional and took the time to explain what they were doing and the stayed until we understood the new control panel. Two weeks later, our upstairs air conditioner stopped cooling (when it rains it pours!) and we immediately called Crawford Service because we knew they could be trusted. " so when this physically impaired senior citizen called them at 1:30am he was connected to an answering service who said they would dispatch someone "within the hour". crickets for 1.5 hours so I called back and they assured me that dispatch had acknowledged my request and that I should hear something soon ... meanwhile water is filling three rooms, so I called the city who was nice enough to send a public works fella out to turn off my water at the street ... and good thing because I NEVER DID hear anything from Crawford, their answering service, their dispatch or ANY of their crew until their office opened at 8am and a clerical person called asking if they could help and "they would see if they could put me on the schedule"!
