I joined 20 years ago when my company CU changed hands. There have been many mess ups on their part. My exhusband deposited his check into his own account using a deposit slip and when he checked on line a day later the amount was not there. Long story short-they deposited his check into MY account- both separate accounts, different address. When I told him, he went to the CU and they told him to have me write him a check for it, UM NO. I refused and told him to go back and make they fix their own mistake. A few years later I applied for a mortgage on my home per a divorce decree to buy out the ex. I had 3 parcels of land, one with the house and 2 adjacent ones. I told them lot #3 was not to be included as it had a separate deed and put this in writing, Day I went to sign the mortgage, I read the documents and they had included it- I was borrowing 30% of the home value. I told them nope, and they replied if they had to fix it , I would have to wait another 6 weeks, and I told them fine, but it won't be with this CU , they got it fixed in 20 mins. Yelpers don't seem very happy about this credit union, but their experiences don't mirror ours. At various times since 2013, we've had car loans, checking accounts and money market accounts with Service, and we've not had any difficulties. The staff remains friendly and efficient, and when we have asked for counseling about loans, they've proven helpful. Ee have just never found ourselves ignored when we've gotten into a line inside the bank. Yes, the lines can sometimes move slowly, but that occurs at every bank we've ever used. So, we give them good marks and regret that some others haven't found the same level of service and commitment. read more

I'm not a member but use this branch to deposit my checks to my bank in Manchester under shared checking, these people do not want to help you, I was considering transferring my banking here at first, after seeing how you are treated, I will not give them the time to open an account, I've used the Lebanon branch many times, they are a little more pleasant to deal with. Ive stood for 5 minutes at the front of the line waiting to be helped, 3 tellers just stood there with no customers and ignored me, good way to run your customers off read more

Worst customer service ever. Especially, for a credit Union. First person in line, waiting and waiting...3 people looked up and refused to make eye contact. There was no acknowledgement or verbal cues, "we will be right with you", no apologies for waiting. They just kept looking up and hiding behind the signs on the desk. I am not a member, and after this treatment, I would never become one here. I have e an account with Citizens bank...their service is top notch. Oh, and I was treated poorly, for not being a member..... Oh and the supervisor got up from her corner, walked over to a teller, looked out and she didn't even acknowledge customers.... I have been a manager in the service industry for 17 years and I would never treat a customer like that. Shame on you.... It made me rate you with at least a star....your branch does not deserve it. read more

I used to love this credit union. The people were friendly and helpful. There were not as many fees as a typical bank. A lot has changed in the past few years. The employees seem irritated by your presence. I say please and thank you, and have a good day and am met with stone faced silence. There are other credit unions in the area perhaps they should take a long hard look at their customer service and fees before they lose more customers. read more

This place in not reputable. They will drop the ball on financial transactions and then say it's actually your fault because regardless of what their customer service rep told you, somewhere, buried deep in the fine print of a form you signed years ago, there is a sentence that contradicts what the rep told you. You will be left holding the bag and they will NOT go out of thier way to fix it or try to prevent it from happening again. When your institution has screwed up, it's best if they act a bit apologetic and try to fix it, don't get bitchy and start pointing fingers at the customer. Customer Beware...your money is definitely NOT safe with this Service Credit Union! Last year our bank account with Service Credit Union was hacked into and cleaned out by someone in Dubai. It took Service Credit Union three weeks to investigate the matter and refund our money. Even though Service Credit Union admitted that someone stole our money they still left us with a single dollar to our name for three weeks. Just recently my 18 year old's Service Credit Union account had an unauthorized money transfer from his account to our account. My son never requested this transfer and the money never showed up in our account. Service Credit Union is once again "investigating" how his money got stolen. Let me also add that they seem to try to wear you out with delay tactics and put you on hold for long periods of time when you call them to explain these matters. Also Service Credit Union uses a third party company called Popmoney to handle all of their money transfers. Last year it took us 8 months to transfer a sum of money from our account to my sons account. EIGHT MONTHS!!!! I cannot even begin to estimate how many phone calls and hours we have wasted our time doing in trying to get them to stop stealing and losing our money. Service Credit Union is not safe or secure and they need to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau for racketeering and shady business practices. As an interesting side note and observation...you may want to look up who is the founder of Popmoney. Wonder why someone from Dubai stole all our money! Coincidence??? I think not! Stopped to withdraw money from my account today as we were travelling through Keene. One of the worst banking experiences of my life. The employees are extremely unfriendly and seemed bothered by our presence...... almost like we were making them work. One woman in the back of the bank at a desk facing the front counter made a nasty face at my wife which made us both laugh. Every branch location we go to near our home is great but this place has major issues. Corporate should send an anonymous person in to investigate. Honestly, we are thinking about changing to another credit union after this experience. If you live in Keene go somewhere else. read more
