I am completely disgusted with my experience with Service Credit Union. I applied for a mortgage pre-qualification and it has been 45 days since I applied and I still have no answer! Whenever I reach out to the person assigned she says I'm on the list to be reviewed. The heavy set guy that works there is an asshole. I have had to use this bank a few times the past year while for a few things and every time I go in this place this guy always acts like he hates his job and is so bored to be there, hey guy if you hate your job why keep doing it. I wish I could give 0 stars. I went in there to withdraw $10,000 to pay for my sons funeral. The guy that was there was terribly rude from the moment I asked him to take out my money. He actually asked me what I need the money for!!! Why do you need to know what I am using my money for? He said his manager was on lunch and had no idea when she would be back and she had to approve the withdrawal. My wife was in terrible pain from having to take out our life savings to bury our boy and no we were standing at this bank uncomfortably waiting for a manger who we had no idea when she would be back. We waited about 10 minutes and the guy was like here she is. She said what's the problem I said nothing I just want to take 10 thousand dollars out of my back account. She looked all retarded and was like ok they are gonna be mixed bills, we were like ok, whatever, and she was like ok give it to them like he didn't even need to get her approval. He annoyingly counted our money and tosses it at us not banded and not in envelopes. I gave it back and asked if he could band it and put it in envelopes. He rudely banned it and then tossed it at us again with two envelopes. We looked at each other and we're like I'm I guess we have to put our money in an envelope. So we stood there with a line behind us as he just threw the money at us. We started filling the envelopes and he looked angry, I was like do you usually make your cuss put their money on their own envelopes? Then the lady was like sir he did what you asked him please leave. But we only had two envelopes to put 10,000 bucks in. I said well I need 2 more envelopes to put this money in. He threw 2 more envelopes at me and just watched us annoyed while we filled the envelopes with our money. I am going to northeast credit union right now to open an account and will be moving all my accounts to them and eventually move all my money to them. You suck service credit union. Having to work with them to have a payoff made for a totaled car has been a nightmare. Their customer service is severely lacking, doesn't do what they say they will, and is unhelpful and their ability to actually return a phone call seems nonexistent. I'm pretty unhappy but they've made it crystal clear they don't care and that there is nothing I can do about it. I called last week to report my vehicle being totaled and that the insurance company would be calling in. Gentleman said he'd notate the account. Called this week to remind them. Ten minutes later the insurance guy called with them on the phone, they have no record of me saying it was ok to talk to them. The SCU rep became aggressive and most unhelpful- even asked me to give him my login password. Isn't that rule #1, not to give your password out to anyone? He promised to escalate. Here we are, 2 days later, no still no call. I have several thousands of dollars tied up waiting on this. I'm not happy. Not at all. read more
