Also, the mothership lacked any sense of customer concern during recent national compromise of credit card/ATM numbers, let alone take any preemptive measures to prevent having your account cleaned out. Too much risk with my money at stake, shut down my accounts and moved to a more serious institution. Less convenient for me but then, losing thousands in an unprotected account would be even more so.

I checked in with the teller and was handed over to Sara GEIB who is a Member Service Representative. She was extremely friendly and extremely helpful. She was able to get my documents notarized and take care of all of my documenting needs. I do not understand why this branch has so many negative comments as everybody I met during the process was extremely nice.

Ive used a teller to handle either deposits that I did not want to put through an ATM or some other transaction like a bank check. The tellers have always been outgoing, friendly and efficient. Its worth noting that the customer service by this branch's staff is exceptional. On one notable occasion I had to get a sizable bank check and the teller was fairly new and still training. Unbeknownst to me they had given me the check without a signature on it. I left the bank and had already driven away when the bank manager called my cell to ask me to return and get the check signed. They were very apologetic and handled the situation professionally. The way in which they handled it actually left me with a positive impression that overshadowed the inconvenience of the original mistake. This location is on main street in downtown Nashua. Parking is either metered street parking or the city garage. ATM is the "enhanced" kind that does not require envelopes for deposits. If youre in the area looking at banking options, I recommend NBT. They are a little bigger than a local but smaller than the mega giants.

Another plus is that they do a lot of things for the local community. This is the bank I recommend to others in the area looking for a banking relationship.

The staff has always been exceptionally friendly with me, and I've never had a single issue with them financially (which is saying a lot given my experiences at other small town banks). I definitely prefer using a more local bank to a National one, and RBT is a good one for sure. Interest rates are fair, if not generous, and they require no minimum balance for most of their account types. If you're just a simple human looking for simple banking like I was then RBT is definitely the way to go.
