Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. Never finished putting in a door trim. The installer promised to…read morereturn and didn't. The Southlake Glass Guru charged over $700, then wanted another $300+ plus the work they didn't finish in the first place. Worse yet, now my family was cut on the glass that lacks trim, and the trim falls off. Run from this place.

I hired The Glass Guru of Southlake (owner I believe is Kyle Hansen) to install a frameless shower…read moredoor enclosure in my bathroom. The initial installation seemed to go okay--the glass looks nice and the door functions--but they only applied partial strike jamb seals (the protective vinyl/polycarbonate strips on the strike side that prevent the glass door from slamming directly into the fixed panel or wall, which could cause chipping or damage over time). When I pointed out that the strike protection was incomplete (only partial coverage, leaving sections of the glass edges exposed and at risk), they informed me that finishing the job--installing the rest of the strike seals--would cost an additional $395. This was never mentioned upfront, and it feels like the original quote didn't include a complete, safe installation. The strikes aren't just cosmetic; they're essential for protecting the glass and ensuring a proper seal. Already, we sustained a cut from the glass door and the strike material falls off. I had to reglue it so what little is on doesn't fall off. Shoddy work. I've been left with an unfinished shower that I'm afraid to use normally until it's fixed. Communication since then has been frustrating, and it seems like they're trying to nickel-and-dime for what should have been part of the original work. Very unprofessional and not what I expected from a local business. I do not recommend them for shower door installations--look elsewhere to avoid surprises and extra charges.
