I'm not an electrician, but I managed two electrical companies when I was in the business recovery profession. First place I called but didn't return my call for 24 hours. Second place was professional and sent someone out who was very nice and agreed with my determination of issue. No charge so far. Feeling good until he gave me estimate totals. No breakdown of parts; labor, tax, etc. LOWEST PRICE was $1890.00! And it would be Tuesday before job could be completed. NO WAR x2! My brother is a retired purchasing manager in high cost Austin, TX. He had the exact same part failure and said the tech took 45 minutes and charged him $500 for parts and $800.00 for labor. Said it was a book rate which is BS. He felt ripped off. Third time was the charm. A friend called an electrician who recommended Pattie Electric in Zephyrhills. I called on Tuesday, and told them I pre emptively ordered a Brushless DC motor, ECM control, 1050 rpm. I spent the day finding a cross reference for my Zhandou Road CCP POS. I took a chance based on specs and the only photo which is attached. Pattie had a rep here an hour after I called. He questioned my analysis but the motor was there and he was also. Let's go! An hour and a half later I had A/C! Total cost was $300.00 for upgraded X-13 motor and $210.00 for service call and install. I saved $1400.00 and did not reward a crook. No AC in Florida in the Summer is a big deal. After verifying that it wasn't a TECO issue (they came out and checked), I called an electrician (Exodus - they were great). Exodus restored power to everything, but the AC still wasn't functioning properly - only running on ON - not on AUTO. They recommended that I call SimpliAir. SimpliAir sent someone the same day and talk about a huge difference from other AC companies. He could have upsold me a new thermostat or worse and I wouldn't have known the difference. Instead, he serviced the entire unit, flushing and chemically treating the drain line, supplementing the freon and correcting the erroneous set-up in the attic that caused the problem in the first place --- all for about half of what other companies have charged me in the past without correcting anything. My AC is running great. I can't recommend SimpliAir enough. With excellent service and prices, they are my new 'go to' for all things HVAC.

He was very nice & professional on the phone. We told him that the there is no cold air coming out of the vent, even if the fan in the outside unit is working. He said it is the blower motor (same diagnosis done by another vendor). Ron gave us prices on both the universal blower motor & a Carrier motor. He was very knowledgeable about air conditioning so we decided to have Ron fix our AC. It took him about 3-4 hours to do the repair. He also inspected the outside unit and did a tune-up with no extra charge. He cleaned the area of the unit too and raised the water pipe line so it would be free from debris. My husband & I were so impressed by Ron's work. To top it all, his rate and quote for this repair was reasonable and affordable compared to the last vendor we had called whose estimates were so inflated. I was not disappointed. During the installation, because we are in a flood zone, we needed the unit to be put on a 24" stand. The stand they used was overkill, way too high. When I expressed my displeasure, instead of an argument, they put a more appropriate stand in place, doing so with a smile. Since then, we have had them do service on an AC outage from a 2 year old unit on the other side of the house, and we found a sloppily spliced wire which should have been replaced by that other company when that installation was done 2 years ago! Again, repaired at a very fair price. I am happy to say I have a new AC company that has earned my trust and respect.

The new ac unit would not cool the house even with new insulation installed. Temperature was set at 76 degrees but the house was at 80 degrees. So we called back but was told "the new ac unit will need to be settled and adjusted to the temperature as the temperature at install was different than the temperature now". We let it settle like she said but it was still not working after a few months. Following is a list of the some of the dates that the technician came out: August 1, 2020 (was told by the office during scheduling the technician will check to see if there is a leak in the pipeline. However, technician came out and advised he does not have any tools to check. He was only able to fill with freon.) October 1, 2020 (technician came out again but did not check to see there was a leak. Filled the line with freon again.) October 30, 2020 (technician came out to check if there was a leak. I went outside to check on the technician as it had been a while. I asked him if he was ok, he said "yes". Then I got a call from my husband that the AC line was busted by the technician during checking. I informed my husband I just talked to the technician about 5 minutes ago and he said he was ok. My husband informed me that the office called him and said that the homeowner, me in this case, was probably in the shower. WHAT??? I was just talking to the technician in the garage less than 5 minutes ago. Not sure why they would have told my husband that I was not available and was probably in the shower. ) October 31, 2020 (We were left without air conditioning overnight. Finally a new AC line was installed since my line was busted by the technician. We had to pay over $700 for the new line.) June 14, 2021 (Same thing is happening again. Temperature was set at 76 degrees and temperature in the house was at 80 degrees so we called for someone to come out and check. Technician checked everything and advised nothing is wrong with our ac unit and he's not sure why it's not cooling. We were being charged a $75 fee. We decided to call the office but was given an attitude and the owners started yelling at us, the customers that "there is a fee for them to come out" even though we were NEVER told there was a fee to repair their own work, ac unit and pipeline. The owner started questioning why we did not contact them until now when the ac was not working (even though we have contacted them multiple times - see list of the dates we had the technicians come out.) I attempted to explain to the owners that initially after the new ac was installed and it was not working, I was told it's probably the line and there might be a leak. After multiple attempts and appointments and the line being busted by them, we paid for a new pipeline to be installed. The ac unit is still not working to this date. We are NOW being told it is probably the AC unit, not the pipeline by the owners, and now it's after the one year warranty. Though the technician found nothing wrong with our unit.) We are left with a new ac unit and new pipeline that is NOT cooling our house. We paid total over $5,000 and it is NOT working. We paid another $75 and nothing was done or fixed. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!
