We weren't ordering alcoholic drinks, they were. Obviously they prioritized the party that was going to make them more money. Reservation at 8:30pm and at 10pm we had no food on our table so we left hungry. Rude server who offered no intelligent apology, talked back, and only brought us inedible, old, stale chifles "for the wait." If you don't have the staff to serve 27 people at the same time, then don't take the reservation(s). Most disappointing dining experience ever. Sad to leave such a negative review as a Peruvian. Terrible time on our last night in Berlin. Go somewhere else. "We now have to say very clearly, which is rather unusual for us, that this is an exaggerated criticism that is actually incorrect. Above all, we would like to refer to the email you wrote to us. We are shocked by the offensive and indecent email that you did not write publicly for good reasons and are considering taking legal action against you. Everyone has the right to criticize and have their own opinion. But we certainly don't put up with insults." Your service and the way we were treated by your server was insulting. You don't even offer an apology. The way you reply to your unhappy customers is extremely confrontational. Legal action? That's hilarious. If you're offended by reviews and people's comments, then do something to improve your food and service. You weren't there to experience what we experienced or heard what we were told by your server. And yes, it's embarrassing to know this is being sold as "Peruvian" food in a multicultural city such as Berlin. What a joke. As you can tell by the reviews, we're not the only ones that experienced waiting a ridiculous amount of time for our food. And yes, the music is too loud and terrible. Annoying atmosphere.

All made with enthusiasm by Antonio and served with love by his wife Elisabeth.

Everybody needs some saborrr in their life…read more How bad did we need this? We drove all the way to Charlottenburg from Pankow. 'Twas a rainy night and nothing else can cure the weather blues like a round of Pisco Sours. Okay. Like 3 rounds. And then the shots came ... o_0 You see, our friends were ecstatic about our engagement and wedding plans so much that, even our server got in on the party. He offered shots (forced it upon us, really!) and it's rude to turn down gratis Pisco so there we were downing shot after shot. The aftermath the next day was ... Anyhoo, maybe I didn't eat enough to absorb all the Pisco shots? (nah, portion sizes are so generous!) or maybe shots just ruin me? maybe I'm getting old! (waaaah) No matter what you order at Sabor Latino, you should always start with a classic appetizer such as the Papa ala huancaina, which is a plate of boiled potatoes with a spicy yellow Peruvian chili sauce or the yucca frita, which is basically very very large cuts of steak fries. Everyone had the carne a la parillam for their entrees, which had medium rare Argentinian steak with beautiful symmetrical grill marks on the meat. It's not the most melt in your mouth steak you'll ever have nor will it be the best cut of steak your mouth will come into contact with, but the flavors are there and juiciness shows in every bite. After the merriment was over, we all headed home with happy giggles and wonderful memories to last us for a long time. A Peruvian restaurant in Berlin that hits all the check marks? this is as good as it gets.

The restaurant is very warm & inviting. Yellow & orange hues on the walls, beautiful large Latin American oil painting & also a nice bar inside. When we arrived, it was pretty empty (weekday, before happy hour :-)). My son ordered chicken wings, which came with fries & a salad. I got the Brazilian coconut-fish soup. The food arrived relatively quickly, tasted fresh & the waiter was super attentive & kind. The portions were decent & everything tasted great. I also had a vodka lemon with my meal- yum. The prices are reasonable for the quality & the menu looks amazing. I'd def. come back with a bigger appetite next time, to order a "real" Latin American main course & enjoy the happy hour.
