Our favorite place in Long Island for pizza and Italian sandwiches. We've only been twice since it's a trek to get there but we'd go everyday if we could. First time around, we got their classics: Emilia & Roasted chicken pesto. The focaccia is incredible, best in the area by far and they are beautifully layered sandwiches. The funghi pie was also delicious. Their pizza dough is on the light and chewy side, so each bite is springy and well balanced with the flavors. Second time around, got their polpette (meatball sub) and piccante pie- sweet & spicy, the perfect combo. And finally got to try their cinnamon roll focaccia!! Genius idea and amazing execution, I much prefer this to a traditional cinnamon roll. The fact that a little spot like this in Long Island can stand up to all the hip and trendy spots in the city, is a testament to how great it is. read more

I've had this place saved on Instagram forever and finally made it here during a recent visit to Port Washington. Serra Provisions is tucked away in a back corner of Port Washington in kind of an industrial area. Parking is extremely limited. The restaurant itself is part pizza shop, part high-end grocery store with lots of infused olive oils, vinegars and artisan spices and products for sale. You order at the counter, and seating is limited to outdoor picnic tables. Service was quick and the place wasn't packed at all on a weekday afternoon. We decided on a margarita and a bianca pizza, which were around $18 each. The pizza arrived piping hot in less than 20 minutes and really hit the spot. Flavorful sauce, good cheese to sauce ratio, solid crust. We ended up having left overs because we couldn't finish it all. read more

We had about 2-hour wait for "Dirty Taco Restaurant" and knew we needed to have appetizers to last that long and walked across the street to Serra Provision. What a wonderful find, unexpected location, with home made, local to New York or imported items. Order food at the inside counter and shop while waiting, picnic tables with umbrella outside, definitely dog friendly, saw lots of people order and pickup pizzas. We ordered fungi pizza, white pizza and specialty slice of spicy pepperoni with focaccia & hot honey. The pizzas from the ceramic oven were overall amazing, the topping was so fresh, uncomplicated yet delicious on the most tasty chewy bread. Easy to order, pizzas were done so fast and paired well with non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks from the fridge. We must return to feast on their food again! A definite recommendation! read more

I love this place so much! My parents we born and raised in Sicily, so we are very picky with our brick oven. Their pizza is in my top three in NY! I took off one star for the piccante, which I love. However, they keep adding sausage even though it isn't in the description of the pie. It's just too much on the pie, it is perfect otherwise! read more

This is an amazing Italian specialty shop with gourmet provisions serving brick oven pizzas, paninis, and salads to-go. They have nice outdoor seating and are near the water in Port Washington. The staff here is super friendly, good energy every time I come in! Unfortunately they are being mandated to close their brick oven 4/21. They will still be serving delicious prepared foods, wine, and more, but I highly recommend trying to pick up a pie before then. They are perfectly made. read more

Serra Provisions is a relatively new grab-and-go Italian eatery, offering a selection of pizza, sandwiches, and salads. All of the offerings are either homemade or imported from Italy, which was promising. We decided to order a few pizzas and didn't have to wait too long. Overall, the pizza was good, but I'm not sure it justifies the price. Serra Provisions definitely places a premium on their offerings, as I've had similar pizza at Saverio's in Massapequa for less. That said, Serra Provisions introduces a new style of pizza to Port Washington, which is great though I still prefer Salvatore's more. While there is no indoor seating, several picnic tables are set up outside for customers to enjoy their food on warm, sunny days. It's probably best for takeout when the weather turns colder. Despite the higher prices, I would still recommend others give it a try. read more

I stopped into Serra provisions to grab some lunch. I ordered a Prosciutto di Parma sandwich, and I grabbed a seat outdoors. The space is very rustic, and the outdoor area is very comfy. My sandwich came on freshly baked Rosemary Focaccia. Two cute girls working the counter enhanced the experience. My bill with a bottle of water was $20.64. We were famished after visiting a vet at the North Short Animal League and knew that our grown-up kids would love some authentic pizza. I ordered online and while we drove to it, everything was ready. We got 3 pizzas: pepperoni, margherita, upside down and two sandwiches: manzo and turkey. I appreciated that the pepperoni was beef, not pork. Everything was absolutely delicious. I regret that I did not have more time to shop for specialties at the store, but it looked like the real deal, one of those small stores I remember from living in Italy for half a year. Super quality food! Have ordered from Serra Provisions twice now and everything is high quality with attention to details. You can really tell that the person that made this put a lot of loving care in making the food. Ordered the clam pizza and eating it is like a dream- the crust is thin, but chewy and the toppings don't sog through, even with travel. The crust fluffs up and is chewy and tasty... whatever they put in their dough is pretty amazing. The clam is finely chopped and adds a nice oceany brininess, there is a fresh scent from the lemon zest and the herbs are even finely minced on top. A fresh squeeze of lemon completes it... honestly, the quality and freshness ... is hard to put into words. I used to travel to Connecticut to have clam pizza, and now I don't need to! My husband also ordered the cooked prosciutto ham and cheese sandwich- the bread is nice and thick, toasted on a grill... very generous with the ham and cheese, very high quality cheese. He also ordered the Puglise and told me it was the best thing he's eaten in a while. Serra Provisions is definitely a gem in the North Shore area! read more

Serra doesn't have a single item on their menu that isn't fantastic. In the middle of winter, they still manage to find decent tomatoes for their salads. Everything is just so well done - fresh, and seasoned perfectly, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I wish they were open later during the week for dinner, but I'll continue to order them for lunch regularly. I heard they took over Butler's Flat and that's great if it's true - that's another gem in Port that I can't live without. read more

Total hidden gem - amazing wood fired pizzas, italian sandwiches and specialty sodas. They also sell italian products like Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes. Extremely well curated. Baked desserts, prepared foods and house made dried pastas and sauces. Everything is top shelf. They have plenty of parking on the street and an amazing front patio space with picnic tables, umbrellas and planters. This is a no brainer. Destination worthy of a drive. read more

Clam pizza is a very worthy contender to Pepe's signature pizza in New Haven and the Piccante is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The mozzarella and dough are the best I've had on Long Island.
