It's play based but really cool ways to learn. It's very hands on, and I love it. Our three year old loves his teacher, Ms. Canepa . She is so attentive, always says hello to my son as soon as he walks in the classroom , and truly cares for him. She is also very attentive and creates such fun learning activities! What we really love about the school is how it's outside play learning which works so well for my son. He enjoys outside time and it's so great that they do this for a good amount of time. I also love how they communicate via sending photos and videos through an app which makes it nice to see what my son is doing each day at school. My daughter transferred to this school when she was 3 and stayed thru the TK/Kinder program. She has come such a long way and is even reading and doing math! I immediately felt comfortable there after meeting Angela, the school director. She has been the backbone of the school, and families enroll their children because of her warmth, professionalism, knowledge, compassion and the staff and teachers that she has hired. My son started in the one year old room with Ms Abby, who has since moved to a new role in the school, but is an incredible teacher and so great with the littles! His current teachers are Ms Evelyn, Ms Jen and Ms Katelyn. They are phenomenal teachers and have helped my son with his emotional, intellectual, and social development. They are each so loving, patient, and incredible with the kids. My son is so excited to go to school each day - he loves seeing his teachers, friends and participating in the curriculum. All of the teachers at Capstone are wonderful, and while they aren't his primary teachers, Ms Shima and Ms Vicky interact with my son sometimes in the mornings, and he really likes seeing them. It is a mystery why the principal sent her child to public school instead of her campus but that speaks volumes and has not helped morale. High percentages of faculty quitting, surf club, gardening club, lab rats, summer school, galas, dances, continue to be canceled or non existent for lack of participation. It is so horrible. Please save the school Diocese of Orange! The employee in the office with hair dyed the color of a fire truck, against the school dress code also sends a confusing message and expectation.
