We had a horrible experience at Bright Horizons despite hearing rave reviews about the daycare. The director who proudly shared she was with the daycare for 15+ years quit on the spot during our time there leaving them with no director and a floating regional director who isn't familiar with the children. - Rigid staff that doesn't know how to manage common toddler behaviors like resisting naps - Requested we interrupt our workdays to pickup my son if he didn't nap and suggested that mom stop working to accommodate his nap schedule - Overpriced facility with a high student to teacher ratio - Teachers were not warm or loving to the children especially the young toddlers. My family LOVES Bright Horizons. I've had 2 kids attend so far for 3 years and I can't say enough great things about them. The teachers, the leadership staff and the Director are all amazing. Turnover is low which I love and all of the teachers have been engaging and very communicative with the families. They use the My Bright Day app and I love getting pictures and updates throughout the day regarding my kids. Safety is a top priority and I love the various events like muffins with Mom, donuts with Dad, family luau, etc. I'm super happy I found them and choose them out of all the other schools I toured. We have been so happy to be a part of the Bright Horizons Family in San Clemente. Our daughter Taya felt loved and guided by all of her teachers. Through the pandemic, I was so impressed with the app communication where the teachers made me feel like as a parent I had access to all that my child was doing daily and could see all the unique and creative ways my daughter was being taught. Both of our kiddos are enrolled full time at Bright Horizons SC. Our oldest started at 2 years and is now graduating the TK program, and our youngest is currently in the 2's class. The amount of support and genuine love and care we receive from all of the teachers and staff in amazing. From the facility and beautiful outdoor play spaces to the gardens and all the activities that are thoughtfully planned, I cannot recommend this school enough. My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons San Clemente for 2 years and we will be sad to see her leave this fall for elementary school! We've had such great experiences with the teachers and admin. They really listen to your concerns and treat your child as their own. They have so many outdoor play areas and an amazing chef that makes fresh food daily. They get my picky eater to try new foods that she won't at home. Our older daughter had gone to a different preschool and we always say we wish that she had been able to receive the same preschool experience that our younger one is having at Bright horizons. read more

I can't say enough about the care and support provided by the staff here! Such a nurturing, supportive environment for my son while he attended. Bright Horizons is the best preschool in town. Simply put, it's fun, safe, full of love, and educational. My daughter attended Gratitude Garden for one year and the difference in education and stability is significant. Her transition to BH from GG was sudden and BH made the transition as easy on my daughter as possible. She immediately loved her teachers, who are the best teachers in town. BH teachers don't leave. They're passionate and committed. My daughter learned exponentially more at BH than she did at GG. Kelli, DeeDee, Karla, and Mina are incredible. Parents receive lesson plans every week with daily updates about what activities the kids did. You may wonder why there aren't many reviews and it's because they don't push or ask. GG required parent participation points and guess how you earned the points - positive Yelp reviews. Many of the reviews are disingenuous. BH is an authentic and educational environment with low teacher turnover. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! My son asks to go to school everyday! The teachers are amazing!!! We especially love Ms Tracy & Ms Krystal in the beach room - they are fantastic!!! They do an amazing job of welcoming the kids and making them feel comfortable. Their classrooms are amazing with so many centers to learn. The director Kelli & assistant director Kelsie do an amazing job remembering every family and any special requests/needs of each child. They even have a Chef that prepares healthy meals each day for the kids (included in the price!). I tried another school before taking my son here and I am beyond grateful for this incredible school. They are the BEST preschool/early learning center in San Clemente! Trust me you want to take your kids here! read more

My daughter has been here for almost a year now. I have to say that the teachers and office staff (honorable mention Kellie Vanta the Director) have been nothing short of exceptional. My daughter has flourished in this environment. They truly care and connect with not only the children but the parents as well. This is the second preschool my child has attended - I have high expectations....and Bright Horizons has exceeded and gone above and beyond all of my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend. Bright Horizons has been the best experience. This is the 2nd preschool we have experienced with our children and our ONLY regret is, why didn't we switch our child earlier?? We switched because so many people were speaking so highly of their experience here. The administration is super pleasant and helpful and are welcoming every day. Ms. Delayna makes the most nutritious and yummy meals that our child loves to eat, I have no idea how our daughter is going to handle her daily sack lunch when she goes to Kindergarten soon. The best part about the school is all the WONDERFUL teachers! They all seem like they really love their job and love our children! They have a listing of all the teachers and when they started. Many of them are over 10 year and I think the "newest" person has been there about 5 years. That says something unique about this school. Our previous school seemed to have a revolving door of teachers that I could never keep up with them. Our child has the same teachers every day and it is a real pre-school, not a day care, there is curriculum, learning, play time and fun. We get parent-teacher conferences with evaluations on our child's progress. We get daily updates on what the kids are learning and we get weekly lesson plans for the following week. I feel like our child is so prepared for Kindergarten in the fall! This is as good as it gets!! We will miss them dearly when our daughter graduates! Well, this place appears to be very good with the services they tell you they provide. However, they are a fiscal oriented school that does not have the best interest of your child. They will tell you whatever is required to get your business and when your finally in they will manipulate your child to their financial needs. The director is very manipulative and will prey upon your child's needs to benefit the school not your child. If your child needs a little more attention than the others they will lead you to believe there is something wrong with him/her. You will be very confused as your doctor will say there is nothing wrong but the school (director) will say different. There are some teachers there that are good but several aren't. There are some better schools in the San Clemente area that will better serve your child so I recommend you look elsewhere. Its pretty ridiculous because the director and some of the teachers that say they know whats best for your child don't even have kids. I guess they figure a text book knows better than real experience. Finally, if this doesn't convince you when you get there take notice of the front door as several kids have gotten out. They will tell you that there is always someone sitting at the front desk monitoring the door, but in reality that is not the case. Very rarely is there someone there and all a kid has to do is walk out without notice. Very concerning!!! read more
