I would not switch to this company whatsoever. The first and last time you will ever receive good service from them is when they give you a quote. After that, you will be connected from person to person never speaking to the same individual and getting answers out of anybody for anything will be like pulling teeth. You will never speak again to the person who signed you up, and you are on your own for pretty much everything else. You can so clearly hear apathy in every employee's voice that it is simply astounding that this company has stayed in business. They really and truly could care less about you, and I guarantee you it will show in the service you received from them. I am going back to my previous insurance agent from another company. I have always had good service from Pete Serna. Serna had sold out to Gallagher Insurance, but, this year I have rec'd terrible customer service. I called Pete in mid August and informed him that I wanted my policies cancelled on 9/15/21. He said ok. On 9/17/21 my checking account was debited for a yearly primium of $2,006.00. When I asked for my money back I was told it would be 3 to 4 weeks before my refund. I will never use Pete Serna or Gallagher ever again. read more

1 star is being generous Although I have been a loyal customer for 13 years, this company cost me $1200 this year. They let my auto policy lapse (I did get one "courtesy" phone call and when I didn't call back, they just did nothing) so based on the 8 day lapse in coverage ( it took me a week to realize I didn't have insurance) I am now being penalized about $100 per month. Now they are telling me I have to take responsibility for this. So you might as well go direct to some insurance company, cause Serna will do nothing for you anyway. They just lost my business for home, flood and auto ...I hope the owners find out that their agents don't care about their customers. read more

After been a loyal State Farm customer for 25 years, SF dropped our auto policy due to a number of small claims (the joy of having two teenagers on the policy). SF offer to move us to their other company, which essentially doubled our premium. Jesse Serna helped us get similar coverage with another large national company and by also moving our home insurance we actually ended up paying less per year (savings of over $1,000 per year). Where to begin? We joined Serna in January 2019. It was great. Great customer service, but then things went down hill FAST come March 2019. It was one problem after another. They constantly dropped the ball. My final straw was it took 2 months, multiple emails and multiple phone calls to get a quote for jewelry. At that point, I started the process of transferring my accounts elsewhere, but not before the final ball dropped. I called to cancel my homeowners as we were selling the home. That never happened. Apparently not all the information was given to me. I was irritated, but what was the icing on the cake was the way in which the owner spoke to me. He was condescending. He repeatedly interrupted me and spoke over me. He interrupted me and said "No. No. No. I don't care what anyone else told you..." I asked to speak to someone else. He said "No. No you can't." I continued to listen to him berate me. Then I asked again "Can I speak with someone else?" Again he said no. I debated hanging up and calling back, but didn't want to prolong this anymore. At that point, I was done. I conferenced my husband into the call. It was like Jackal and Hyde. My husband said he could tell that the owner is rude and that he was holding back when speaking to my husband. He told my husband that he was "trying to explain to me." No sir, you were more concerned about speaking over me and interrupting me. I said on more than one occasion, can you let me finish? What's the most ironic part? I was told one thing from one of his agents, another thing from my mortgage company, another thing from another one of his agents and a completely different thing from him. He, who doesn't care what anyone else said because he's right and they are wrong? Well he was wrong. I called the insurance carrier to confirm the cancelation was put in and ask how I would be reimbursed. The mortgage company was correct. The owner was wrong. I hope this is a learning experience for the owner. He had the audacity to say "I hope you will consider coming back to us." To that HELL NO! I did not say that. I said "I can guarantee you, it will never be with you." No wonder there is such terrible customer service from the agents. If the owner berates and belittles his customers, how do you think he treats his employees? So, if you want condescending, rude customer service, Serna is your place to go. I, for one, will never tolerate someone speaking to me the way he spoke to me. I am so glad I had already taken my business elsewhere. read more

I have been a long time customer of Serna. Don't know what happened but customer service is terrible. Have dealt directly with Pete Serna. He is very arrogant and condescending. I 've had to call multiple time to get forms sent or things done. I was misled as to how much and what type of insurance I needed, and when informing myself was chastised by Pete Serna that I had taken the time found out the truth by calling the Texas Insurance Commission. I will be cancelling my multiple auto and home owners insurance with them. read more
