History
Established in 2008.
Upon opening, Serenity Yoga was a small little studio above a restaurant. The owner rented the place out so that she could offer kids yoga to daycares, schools and felt that having a place "she could call a business" would give her a little more creditability. After a year, the studio began offering yoga classes to adults and soon grew our business to another location.
In the summer of 2021 the business was taken over by Billie. She began first as a student, falling in love with the practice decide to take yoga teacher training at Serenity. She began teaching classes soon after graduating from training. Being a yoga teacher seemed like a nature step and so did taking over when the opportunity to do so presented itself. Billie’s love for Serenity pushed her outside of her comfort zone, not only maintaining, but expanding Serenity’s offerings and instructors over the past 2 years. And she’s not done yet! Check out Serenity and grow along with us.
Meet the Business Owner: Billie W.
Billie received her first Yoga class as a Valentine’s Day gift, but the gift Yoga gave back she enjoys sharing with all. As a life long hair stylist, she was looking for a new direction- while still connecting with others and Yoga gave her that opportunity. After getting her friends, family and husband to attend classes too, Billie realized her calling to teach yoga.
"In my class you will find a safe place to let go, a smiling face, a non-judgmental teaching style and a warm environment. Yoga is freedom and acceptance. My goal is to help others find this space so that they can move their bodies through life with compassion and joy. Welcome to your mat, Welcome home." - Billie
